😠 If I could give this facility a negative star I would. On 3/10/16 I went to this facility, for treatment of a condition that I was treated for a few weeks prior, but worsened so I went back. I am a 100% disabled veteran of the armed services (Operation Iraqi Freedom). I am also a government employe... If I could give this facility a negative star I would. On 3/10/16 I went to this facility, for treatment of a condition that I was treated for a few weeks prior, but worsened so I went back. I am a 100% disabled veteran of the armed services (Operation Iraqi Freedom). I am also a government employee WITH good health insurance. Needless to say this facility declined to treat me. They sent me away because of a balance of $174 which the reception discussed in an open area in front of other patients, hence HIPPA violation. They said I could pay the balance, or I 'd have to go to another place to be seen, unless I was dying before them. I didn't have any info about what the bill was for, service dates, etc. and not only that, she said there were some things still pending with my insurance company from the last visit, so they really couldn't tell me what I owed, but they weren't treating me until I gave them some money. I have never been turned away from healthcare, and didn't even know this was legal. The nurse explained the an ER can't, but that an urgent care has that right. I am purely disgusted by this, and the attitude of the employees. They treated me as if it was a $3,000 bill, and from the looks of things treated who the wanted to treat. I have served this country, and suffered from it, and can't even get health care in my own city of residence.

My daughter has been going to the pediatric nephrologist at UH/Rainbow Babies for several years. We will no longer be going here now, the office staff will treat you terribly. They are not friendly and will barely look at you or listen to you when you come in. They have a system in place when you arrive, it texts you the morning of your appointment and asks you to notify them when your in the parking lot. So they’ll let you know when to come into the office waiting room. This has been in place since Covid. We did this, and were left waiting in our car for 45 min! They then sent us a text to come inside. We walked in and they claimed we were late and off the schedule now. And if we wanted to we could wait and maybe the doctor might get to us later in the day, but couldn’t guarantee. Well we live an hour away! And we were on time according to their system. We followed their rules. And they told us we should’ve ignored the system and just walked on in. Well why would I do that?!? Just crazy! They never apologized to us for making us wait and then had the nerve to blame this on us. When we followed their rules. Just ridiculous. So they took patients back that should’ve been made to wait behind us. And basically punished us to sit and wait and see. This was late morning, I’m not going to wait all day. So we left. And will not return! Office needs to either notify patients to ignore the text system, or learn how to use it properly. Very frustrating. And how awful, to have unfriendly staff working in a pediatric office! Do yourself a favor and avoid this place! Besides all that, they can’t seem to keep a doctor on staff for more than a year. It’s always someone new. Good luck!

Doctor sent me here to get an x-ray. Asked the lady behind the desk 3 times to double check that it was covered by my insurance and in-network, she rudely responded that it was fully covered the third time. Just received hundreds of dollars in bills; it was not in network or fully covered.

My post op nurse was absolutely amazing after I woke up from anesthesia. She was so caring and kind, and did everything in her power to make sure I wasn't feeling any pain. It's nice to know that there are healthcare workers that still carry themselves with warmth and empathy.

I was sent to get an x-ray. I kindly asked to verify that my x-ray was covered and in-network, so that I would not be charged by my insurance. The lady working dismissed me quickly and said it was fully covered. She lied; I just received a bill for hundreds of dollars. I was very clear that I could go elsewhere if it was not covered by my insurance there, and they told me that it was, and then billed me anyways.

I verified with the staff that my procedures were covered by my insurance and in network so that I would not be charged for the services, as I could have gone elsewhere where they would have been fully covered. After telling me that I was fully covered, they sent me 3 bills for hundreds of dollars afterward. They lied when I double and triple checked, and even explained that I could go elsewhere for full in-network coverage if they could not provide it there.

During my last visit I was asked if I would mind if a student accompanied my doctor in the room for my annual exam and when I said I would be ok with having a student in the room during my exam they sent her in on her own to review my medical history (which had already been done & was logged incorrect) then when the actual Dr. entered the room they directed the student to move forward with my annual exam without asking me or gaining my permission. The student was not able to preform the exam at a professional level and I felt more pain & discomfort than necessary after being tricked into allowing her in the room

Your sports medicine department is a joke, I signed up for physical therapy, I have received no such thing for 3 weeks now, I go into the office and spend 15 minutes talking and doing 2 cat cow yoga poses for 5 mins, talk about dogs, get recommendations for questionable eastern medicine with no peer reviewed research to back up the claims that it is even effective. I have a low back injury, instead of working out and getting a massage I get none of that, the girl pokes my lumbar with her finger gently for ten minutes and claims it works. I work out NEVER. Minimal stretching. My insurance is being charged for NOTHING.

Everyone here is very friendly and helpful. It seems clean and new, and the wait is normally relatively quick. The service is very good. I don't know about others but when I went the staff was very diverse, promt, and helpful. Made the countless appointments I had to attend more convenient and enjoyable! Only complaint is that patients often don't wear masks properly and peoples noses are exposed.

Uh Westlake Health Center accepts new patients . This is an ideal out-of-the-way healthcare center. It is quiet, no crowds, clean , and a considerate professional medical staff.

used to go to university hospital years ago (was about 14, im 18 now) for regular checkups on my spine for scoliosis issues i used to have. was treated with the most disrespect from the doctors whenever asked about receiving surgery for my spine as i was in immense pain mentally and physically. was denied an operation every single time i went back for a checkup even though i had eventually reached the correct amount of curve degrees needed to perform the surgery. the doctors would tell me false information about the process of the surgery as i guess a way to scare me out of getting the surgery that i later found out were lies when i researched them through trustful sources. started physical therapy there as their suggestion to “stop my curve from getting worse”. later realized this was a complete scam for money as the physical therapists had me doing the treadmill for the majority of the appointments every time and no beneficial exercises were ever given to me. thankfully only a year or so later my parents were able to find a surgeon from the cleveland clinic who would operate on me, (plus had way more experience with the surgery than the doctor i had had at uh) had my surgery at 15 and everything went extremely well, i recovered from my surgery fairly quickly and have been doing great ever since. do not go here for medical or professional advice, you’ll simply waste your time.

Currently here for a colonoscopy procedure. The doctors have you taken prep not only the evening before but the morning of. No working women's restroom on the second floor where you wait for your procedure. Seriously!? They wouldn't let me in the back to use the restroom so I had to walk around to find a random doctor's office to use the restroom. What kind of hospital location is this?! Never again will I have anything done at this location.

I got home excited to eat this breakfast skillet only for me to open my box and I see this. It was in a circle shape but besides that I haven't done anything to it. I wouldn't even feed this to my dog. So why is this being made for human consumption??

If you have a baby who needs blood work, you absolutely need to go to Ebony. We have seen her twice now, she's truly amazing at her job and you can just feel how she really cares about your baby. I can't recommend her enough. Beautiful human being. ❤️

Avoid this lab. Phlebotomist with glasses would benefit from more training. I had a simple TB test done, but due to weather had to repeat the blood draw a week later. I had the same phlebotomist both times and different arms used. Both times I was bruised. She commented that it was easy to find a vein and then I have this gruesome bruise 3 days later.

I have encountered nothing but professionalism at this place. I have had to visit several times for both of my children and they have been fantastic. Clean, kind, punctual and informative. They've provided excellent treatment consistently and I'm extremely grateful to them. I would very much like to address the claims of racism and lack of people of color working there. That is absolutely absurd. The clinics that I take my kids to in this facility are extremely diverse with every skin color imaginable. I do not know why he was turned away but I can assure you it has absolutely nothing to do with the color of his skin as half of the staff are people of color. I am not saying that racism does not exist. I am saying that claiming no patient and no staff are people of color in that building and using that claim to cry racism is not only false, but a quick way to destroy credibility of valid claims. Addressing the complaints of "improper care"...definitive diagnoses require certain tests. If you refuse the tests, it seems unreasonable to expect proper diagnosis. Further, setting bones under anesthesia as quickly as possible is the most humane and beneficial way to set them. Depending on the type of break and considering it was a re break, there was likely more reasons for the doctor to decide to send you to the ER.

This has nothing to do with my appointment, but I went the day before to make sure where the medical center was and the office because my appointment was the first thing in the morning. I asked the receptionist where the office was and she gave me a "blank stare" and said nothing. I commented and said to her "you're giving this look!" and she still said nothing. So I noticed a wall that had the names and room #'s on it and said to her "I guess I would find it there," and she said "kinda!" At that time a delivery person came in and she was as sweet as pie to him! I turned to her and said, "thank you for your help!" and left! Makes me want to think how my appointment is going to go!

The facility is horrible. When you first walk in, you are hit with the stench of greasy Chinese food that will stay on your clothes for days. Take a tip from the Cleveland Clinic to have healthy food onsite rather than high-carb foods fried in grease. The surgical center waiting area is small, dark and cramped. One of the employees who checked me in was very nice but the other older woman was just rude. While sitting in the waiting room, I had the opportunity to listen to several phone calls of people on their speaker phones. Note to staff.....ask people to take their calls in the lobby if they plan to be on speaker. The bays in pre-op and post-op are too small and too cluttered. They didn't even know where to put me when they took me back and had to remove equipment from the pre-op bay to let me in. Rolling tables were everywhere, there was no privacy because the beds were so close to the curtains (HIPAA issue) and no room for the nurses to move around. The staff was courteous but their working conditions were awful. Nurses are overworked and underappreciated as it is, but to work under conditions like this is horrible. I've had outpatient procedures at several hospitals but this facility was hands-down the worst.

Had an excellent blood draw experience with phlebotomist J. She was professional and the draw was quick and painless and we had a nice chat. Would come back again.
