Filthy walls in halls, dirty carpets, lots of stains. Elevator was very dirty. Room was clean. Breakfast was missing plates, cups, utensils cracked when we tried to cut sausage. Area was clean.

We park and fly at this hotel regularly. The rooms are great quality and clean. The front desk is helpful and the shuttles work well. Last week however, the star of the show was Tiara. I called her last week and told her that my wife had lost one of her favorite sandals (just one of the pair). It wasn’t easy for her to find it and keep it safe and findable for a week but she was there at 12:20 AM a week later to cheerfully give it to us on our return to Detroit. It’s great to see people like her enjoying their job and making a difference!

A flawless evening with the convenience of the Quik Park immediately next door. The room was spacious, the bed and pillows super comfy. Best part was the shower. Oddly enough, it was large, water was hot and I was able to get squeaky clean. The dining selection was next door with Italian, Chinese, Middle Eastern and Coney's. I would definitely stay there again.

this is a good, basic hotel with decent prices for an overnight stay when flying into or out of DTW. It's not super high end or anything, and I normally stay at a different hotel that is close by (all the hotels are right next to each other by the airport) but the price was way better at Fairfield, so.... showers work well, beds are soft (which many would say is super comfy), air conditioner is way too loud and rattly, so sleep can be an issue if the AC in your room is the same as the one in mine. Staff are wonderful - super helpful and friendly, and the airport 24 hour shuttle (from the parking place next door) is really great - on time and speedy with very nice (and funny) drivers! Breakfast was no better or worse than at any other airport hotel, they start at 6:30 a.m. which is good if you have an early flight. Decent hotel overall and better value than some of the other hotels nearby.

Don't usually review corporations, but I was comped a stay by Delta after missing my connecting flight at DTW. Nice rooms, front desk friendly and helpful. Whirlpool by the pool was just what I needed. Liquor/beer store in walking distance and a couple eateries too. All in all, a pleasant stay.

The rooms were clean. It was noisy, it's almost like the rooms were not sound proffed. I could hear the people in the room next door moving around in the bed. We also saw a New york size rat run across the parking lot. We checked out at 6:15, and the breakfest wasn't ready they said 6am. Never the less under $100 lessthane 20 mins detriot. 2 min ride to the airport. I would stay again if its the cheapest 3 star around.

A little disappointed with the stay. The air conditioner in the room was a bit loud. The hot tub temperature was a bit cool and there were a bunch of small children playing in the tub so that made it hard to relax. The bedhad a dent in the middle that caused my back to hurt the next day. The breakfast was terrible. Grey sausages and brown bananas. The Begals were hard and cold out of the fridge. I really expected more from the pics and other reviews.

What a great deal! We got the room for the night before our trip and that included the parking for the week. They have a shuttle that takes you to the airport and picks you up at the end of your trip which is great. We just walked outside after we collected our luggage and the shuttle was right outside waiting.

The room was comfortable and clean. There was easy access to all of our destinations. The only downside was the continental breakfast was edible.

Children running the halls on the second floor until nearly 1 am across the hall, room 320 above me must have redesigned room on had LARGE trunk they flipped across the floor the entire night! Never got one minute sleep! When mentioned to the desk about the evening, the front desk rep responded ," Oh, that is not the night we had hoped you would have." Nothing done to make up for me, or the fact that others on the second floor that night were so inconvenienced! Too many other places to stay to endure this place again,! And paid a premium price for the room, it was not the room described to me that I was to have. And to top it off after paying the bill, received an additional bill this morning for an additional $20.00??? I have no idea why, but I will find out! NEVER AGAIN STAY HERE!

The good? The price, the location in relation to the offsite parking & the ladies at the front desk, at 11 PM, Sunday night. SO welcoming. The not so good? The hotel is in rough shape. It's obviously seen a LOT of use, and it shows. It's not very clean. Elevators & public spaces, in particular. The bedding was rough and uncomfortable. The customer service on Monday morning was awful. No one at the front desk & no breakfast out, between 6:30-7. While I'm certain this was a staffing issue...it's an airport hotel. Folks are on schedules. That shouldn't happen. Bottom line, there are so many, FAR better options, in the exact same corridor.

Room are a bit small, but for one night stay is more than fine. The complementary breakfast is very limited (comparing with other Fairfield hotels). The location is really good if you you will be traveling from the airport. In general the hotel is good for short stay.

Stayed for one night prior to flying to Florida. Nice hotel, located right beside the long term car park. Comfortable beds, excellent water pressure in the shower, good breakfast in the morning, all around an excellent place to stay. We would definitely stay again.

Stayed on a Monday night to be close to the airport for travel the next morning. 8 days of free parking were included with the room. The check-in was nice and easy. The room was nice. The only complaint was that the contour sheet did not fit the bed and came undone. We had to leave on the 6:00 shuttle so we missed the hot breakfast which started at 6:30. It's nice to be staying so close to the airport, but, as you would expect, the planes flying overhead are very loud.

This hotel is a good location for us but the staff at check-in is the most uncooperative, unfriendly with an attitude that is not respectful. I called later the day we checked out asking for help to get my personalized yeti cup and a charger cord back, (we had accidentally left in the room). They answered by saying it was never turned in so they can't do anything about it. Call back tomorrow. Never found it. So does that mean that the cleaning people just take the items since they have not been turned in?? Our friends who fly into DTW booked this hotel so we have stayed here 3 times this fall, not once have a been treated with a hello or welcome back. Ask for rooms near each other is always answered with can't do that.

Unprofessional attitude and lack of knowledge about Marriott’s standard of customer service FIRST!!!! Upon my arrival I was greeted with a snappy ghetto attitude from LaShaundra ( front desk agent) from the moment I walked in her disposition was funky and unprofessional so I asked to speak with a manager and of course I got even more attitude stating the manager was unavailable…so I asked for the managers information and was given more attitude about my issue… As an Ambassador Elite I have never encountered such unprofessional behavior from staff during my previous stays at Marriott properties… due to her behavior I WOULD NEVER EVER stay at this Facility AGAIN…Unless you want to deal with GHETTO behavior don’t book here stay somewhere else the atmosphere is Unprofessional and GHETTO!!!

Entrance was locked when night manager did her rounds or whatever. She said she had to lock to keep homeless out. Yikes! Finally got into room as we did park and fly deal. This is not a four star deal. Day managers were nice. Shuttle was rattle trap. Meh experience.

I love the Marriott’s but the management and staff here should not be permitted to deal with any customer issues. They lost my car key back in June, yes my car key which my workfriend came to pick up and they couldn’t find... when I came to get my car they had me sitting in the lobby for 6 hours refusing to pay for a replacements when lock smith got here I can’t believe that they treated me this way after they lost the car key!!! Parking costs were 800 US dollars cause they lost the key and we couldn’t collect the car. The manager could have easily paid the locksmith and refused and told the staff not to pay for the replacement costs.. 7 hours in the lobby and still not fixed this is CRAZY

3 stars because the hotel was super dirty in so many aspects. I did not feel the cleanliness starting the elevator and all the way to the room itself. However, I am giving specially high stars to Justin (at reception) for his professionalism and his ability to help a long line of customers at the same time!!

I was sent to Romulus mi for WORK we stayed at this hotel for over a week before our check out with no issues but for the second week nothing but rudeness and inconsideration for other people. The first issue was the 150$ incidental that they charge is kinda high but not only did I have to pay that they charged me another 150 for our second reservation which was a check out check right back in situation didn’t complain understood but I checked in last night about 9:30 pm they just awoke me hollering I needed to get out because my reservation was for one night when it was 6 tried to show her the confirmation that I had she was extremely rude quote it wasn’t her problem and she didn’t have to look at nothing so rude I have stayed at Fairfield inn many times in many states while most I have no issues with I will not return to any Fairfield inn anymore absolute worst costumer service I have ever experienced for the way we were treated rating is one star so disappointed
