Place is kind of a joke. Almond gravy has no flavor and looks very unappetizing. Beef and broccoli was grey and tasted off. Pan fried noodles were worst of all. Like someone took dry noodles and threw them into a dry pan until they started burning. General chicken was soggy AF and sweet AF even after requesting extra hot. Egg Rolls are weird with mystery ingredients. Only giving it 2 stars since I ate a good portion and it didn’t get me sick.

I can't stress how much I love this place. The food is outstanding. I have gotten several items but my favorite is the #32 general chicken meal. I love general chicken but most places give you little grisly pieces of what they call meat but are more breading than anything. China gate gives you big chunks of white meat covered in a delicious sweet sauce and a pile of rice that is cooked to perfection. And the cost... they serve lunch portions all day and they feed 2 people for around $7. This is affordable and good quality food. The owners and workers are amazing as well, friendly and helpful and take the time to learn who you are. If you haven't tried this place you are missing out on a treat.

Tried this for the first time when other places were closed on Easter. I'm glad I did and will definitely be back. My family feasted on General tsos, broccoli chicken, chicken lo mein, crab Rangoon, and eggdrop soup. Every single dish was good and everyone was full and we had leftovers without breaking the bank.

EDIT: Highly confident nearly all of the reviews above 3 stars are fake. This place is NOT good. I have plenty of experience to add weight to this conclusion. This place is a disaster. The food was edible, that's all I can say. The "General Chicken" was not even close to any fairly decent NY Style Chinese food's best attempts. The sauce for the chicken was not even close to the correct type of sauce. The cuts of chicken were far too large and had a few pieces which were entirely gristle or possibly even pork fat. I wouldn't waste your money here, there are many better options in the area.

The old china gate is back the food was delicious, and the portions are back , we ate there for years and after they sold it the quality when down , but now it’s back it’s worth a second chance

My new go-to. Just moved to the area a month ago and in that month, this is the best Chinese place I've found. It's got everything. The almond chicken dinner combo was crispy crunchy and the gravy yummy, and in large enough portions to have a satisfying dinner and plenty leftover for a satisfying lunch the next day. The wontons they give you for their wonton soup come in a separate baggy so they stay crunchy. Crunchy yummy egg rolls. Flavorful, fresh fried rice. An honor system trough of soy sauce and cutlery on your way out. Friendly service. Great prices. Would recommend, I'm definitely going back soon.

We ordered orange chicken, schezwan beef & beef fried rice. None of the food was edible and ended up in the garbage. The chicken tasted funny & the outer crust was soft & soggy. The rest of the food made us feel queasy. We're not ordering from there anymore.

Very pleasant staff, food was tasty and good value...thumbs up! Would have rated higher but the order was wrong. We ordered wonton egg drop soup, received egg drop (which was VERY good, bummed about the wontons)! Definitely plan to return.

Everything was great. Customer service was wonderful. Only reason for not giving a 5 star review was the gravy for the almond chicken. I even ordered extra that I ended up throwing away. I have never had a place give me gelatinous soup with noodles in it as gravy.

I’m really disappointed not sure what happened but the food seems to. It taste as as it did not sure of it new management but I had the sesame chicken and it was so horrible like the worse I think they just lost a customer

I read a review, that this place had a new owner and food was really good. I wanted to give it a try. I had sweet and sour and pepper steak in my first two visits. Really good food. Glad i tried it and the owner was super nice too.
