I stayed there for a week and it was pretty good. The location is perfect cause ur near picadilly and green park subway and walking distance from trafalgar, big ben, buckingham, etc. The hotel is in nice conditions but really nice updating. the rooms and closet are small compared to the huge bathroom but they are ok. The staff is super friendly and there are restaurants all around. Their housekeeping staff was amazing. would definitely be back just keep in mind that for 2 persons with large suitcases you will be a bit crowded. Nice hotel!

Had a wonderful stay! I didn't realize the cabs liked to take you on tour rides to make extra money from the airport. I was very upset by the time I got to the hotel. I have to say Adriana that checked my son and I in was amazingly nice! Very sympathetic and got us checked in quickly. I came down later to have a cigarette and she actually came out to check in me. Super nice. Really appreciated that. The rooms were very clean and comfortable. All the concierges were very helpful and kind. I don't ever write reviews but the staff that was working during my stay deserved a great write up. Thank you....

First good then bad. I’d give the breakfast 5 stars, lots of options and fresh which will save you some money. Otherwise the bed felt like cardboard on the floor, the rooms are very outdated, VERY LOUD, you hear everything going on in the building and outside, air control was very difficult to work and not effective, the shower leaked all over the floor every time we used it, the pull out bed was absolutely unusable, we had to pull the mattress off of it and put it on the floor because of how painful it was to sleep on because of the support bars. Then there was the fact breakfast wasn’t ready regularly at 7am as promoted and we had to bail our last day to get to the airport and missed eating because of that. Carpet was coming up in places in lobby on 1st floor. They did do a good job cleaning out room when they came.

Hotel is fine, but food was terrible. Ordered the surf & turf with tiger prawns, chips with truffle parmesan and asked if I could have some vegetables on the side. Vegetables on the side was not possible , although they had chicken with grilled vegetables on the menu. When the food come there were no tiger prawns, but only some small shrimps and no truffle parmesan. After speaking to the waiter pointing out that these are not tiger prawns and that the parmesan and truffles are missing, he made up some excuses that he had confused the bar menu with the room service menu. Do not eat at this place!

Great location and nice room. Check in a bit disappointing on how long it took given the time of day (shortly after check on started). Tried the bar once, and the drinks were very poor and not as ordered.

This is a great London hotel with car park and location. What makes it special are the Staff who care and look after the guests. Ricky on Reception was fantastic and made our stay memorable forever. The staff at breakfast were a great team and very polite, happy and attentive. We will be returning every year to The Cavendish-thank you all who work their.

Make sure to use Hᴏᴛᴇʟʙoʟʟʏ.ᴄᴏm when booking any hotel. This website will compare thousands of booking websites and normally will have rates a lot cheaper compared to others! Thank me later! This hotel is one of the best in this area. I've been coming here for a long time. If you decide to stay here you for sure won't be let down. The staff from the concierge Ahmed through to housekeeping and reception staff can't do enough for you. Rooms spotless and hotel is very well maintained. Had room service for breakfast (a full English) and it didn't disappoint. Would definitely stay here again.

Rating it a 3.5/4. First 3 nights stayed on 6th floor- last night stayed on 12th floor. 1. it is extremely loud at night, I’m not sure why there are no reviews on this? We stayed on the 6th floor the first three nights . There was always drunk people out side screaming, couples arguing- you name it- I do not blame the hotel for this but it is a downside. 2. The room smelled like bad body odor. Imagine running for 15 miles on a hot summer day in July, 100F- whatever smell you can imagine… that’s how our room smelled- we aired out the room the first three nights and it just would not go away. This is why we requested a room change. 3. The room was- definitely dirty but we weren’t sure if it was or wasn’t. But our first room compared to our second room- WOW what a difference- our second room was insanely clean and did not smell at all. I wish we asked for a different room sooner. I did ask on the third night but they said they wouldn’t be able to give a room until the next day. 4. It is in an amazing location- next to everything… but also a blessing and a curse as night life is extremely loud and I felt like I could hear it as if I were next to people… maybe ask for a floor higher than 6. When we stayed on the 12th floor we heard nothing at all- it was amazing. The noise on Thursday/Friday/Saturday went on until 4/5am 5. Staff was kind 6. Overall would I visit again, but would require the room to be above the 10th floor due to noise. I would recommend this for younger people like 23 and younger who want the night life/shopping super close. Who don’t mind hearing LOTS of people until 4-5 am. If you’re traveling with littles, this might not be the best option for you… unless you have a sound machine then hey test it out but I wouldn’t risk it due to how insanely loud it gets outside. But if you stayed above floor 10 I’m sure you would be fine! I’m also writing this review at 3 am, because I really can’t sleep because of how loud it is outside. I do wish we would’ve asked to move to a higher floor sooner, so we wouldn’t be so sleep deprived from the outside noise.

Every part of our stay was exceptional from start to end! We were warmly greeted at the front door where our luggage was taken and our car swiftly valet parked. Staff at reception were all friendly, warm and welcoming and we were offered a larger room or one with a view. (We chose the view!). Our room, on the 12th floor, had a gorgeous view of the Elizabeth Tower, London Eye etc. It was spotlessly clean and the bed was super comfy. Breakfast was delicious with a good selection. (Items like Eggs Benedict do attract a surcharge, but fair enough.) When we checked out we decided to leave the car parked for a bit longer while we went shopping. As with everything else, that request was met with a smile and a friendly, positive reply. We were truly sad to leave and will definitely be back as soon as we can. Why this isn't a 5 star makes no sense as the ones we've stayed at, Intercontinental included, can't hold a candle to this gem!

Stayed here 5 nights over Christmas 2022. Pros: I can't say anything bad about the concierge and parking guys. Several are from the Ukraine and they really went the extra mile to make me happy and feel good. Always got my car quickly and gave us extra water bottles in our car every morning before we headed out for the day. As far as the hotel rooms, they were OK-ish. Good, hot water in the small-ish shower. Nice bedrooms. Nice views of the buildings across the street. Counter personnel was very helpful when there was a discrepancy with the bill. Room service was decent. Cons: the bottled water in the room was obviously just filled from the tap and the tap water doesn't taste very good (to me - I'm from America and used to different tasting tap water). Super-limited bar food. We stayed over Christmas, boxing day and the following Monday which was Christmas day observed. Almost all of the restaurants around the hotel were closed so we missed out on 3 days of good food because the location has a bunch of pubs and other restaurants near by.

Used this for parking, excellent service and very safe with valet parking. Great location and a fair price for London. You can park, know the car is safe, and can return to a stress free relaxed environment, use the toilet, while your car is brought up for you. Book in advance. And the staff are wonderful.

I have never stayed in a hotel where there is no plug sockets next to bed. The only plug sockets were underneath the television which actually didn't work so we had to ask for assistance but nobody came. The breakfast was actually on a different level, no clean tables, no cutlery, had to ask for tea, no bowls for cereal, the breakfast came in 3 parts so everything was cold. I have never stayed in such a bad so called 4* hotel. For the price of £300 a night it was disgraceful. I would definitely rank this as a 2* hotel that being because of the location and nothing else.

I had the worst experience at this hotel, $1200 was stolen from my bag in my room and the hotel did absolutely nothing about it. The money was in my bag and we went downstairs for breakfast for 30mins, when we got back to the room, someone had gone through my bag and taken $1200!! The duty manager and the entire staff were very unhelpful and blamed me for leaving money in my bag!! For such an expensive hotel, the experience was really terrible and I was very disappointed with their response to theft in one of their rooms! The duty manager told me the hotel was not liable for my money being stolen on their property, a very disturbing statement for a hotel where one night costs over £300!! I’ve made peace with not finding my money but anyone planning to stay at this hotel should know that if you ever lose anything, the hotel is not liable!! Horrible experience!

It was good hospitality in the hotel. Cleaning is good. However, don’t get same breakfast every single day they Don’t change it. I got bored while I regretted paying for breakfast cuz it was boring.Service is poor late and delay in orders. I have been waiting for my order over easy eggs and it’s been over 20 minutes 😂not here And they made it twice and to be runny over easy and not even over easy. As you can see in the pictures. It is frustrating just Don’t get the breakfast included it’s not worth it. The breakfast was paid and you have to pay if you want pancakes and other things. Okay look at this pancakes 🥞 I am not going back for sure and for the money you pay it’s annoying.

Red letter day - Birthday Lunch My wife & I had a celebratory birthday lunch - 3 courses with processo. The food was fantastic & the service was excellent. Red mullet was excellent. Our waitress was so attentive & kept the Prosecco flowing well without pushing it upon us or being too stingy. Just right. I would definitely recommend it.

This hotel is a bit dated but we stayed there for 4 nights in July 2022. The food was excellent. The staff were friendly and the bedrooms were very spacious with comfortable beds. Great location, on sea front. Would stay there again and definitely recommend it

Great location, room is relative to others in the area but the bathroom was small. Staff is attentive and when I brought something to them, they fixed it the next day. We were only there for three days so having a maintenance issue was an inconvenience.

We went for afternoon tea. The experience was nice overall. Friendly staff not really well trained though. Prosecco unlimited and afternoon tea tray was overall ok. They had run out of a couple of tea varieties which was odd as we were getting an afternoon tea experience. Lol . The decoration was a bit old fashioned and finally they charged £9.5 for a bottle of sparkling water, which is unacceptable.

Rooms will put together. I just found the design of the shower/bath tub narrow. Overall the location is spectacular in vicinity to the main attractions in London. Would definitely come back again!

Well appointed and comfortable hotel. Friendly and attentive staff. Hotel is in a superb location for Central London being a 5 minute walk from Leicester Square, a 20 minute walk from Buckingham Palace, and easy access to transport with both Picadilly Circus and Green Park tube stations about 5 mins walk in each direction.

The staff at this hotel were fantastic, especially Antonelle who was on reception when we arrived. The room was nicely decorated and comfortable, the only let down was the walls are quite thin as we could hear a couple in the room next to us arguing at 2am! Otherwise this would have been 5 stars from me.

Lovely little hotel. Very well situated in central London. Close to tube station, so many nice bars, restaurants and shops around. The staff are nice too. Mr Thomas was super kind and very helpful to us. He has looked after us very well. We used their parking facilities.

Nice central hotel, baths available if you get tired of just showers. Nice bar and plentiful breakfast. Pretty easy to get a taxi on Jermyn Street and there are some excellent restaurants nearby. Piccadilly is only a few minutes walk away.

Excellent bottomless prosecco afternoon tea experience. Five star waiter Andrei gave us a very welcoming service and so did Emma. Freshly made delicious sandwiches and freshly baked cakes. Generous prosecco refill 🥂🍾

This hotel is just fab. Went for our honeymoon night and stayed in the penthouse suite with the balcony. The bed was so great that we wanted to take it home. The bathroom was big enough to sleep a family of four in, with lovely toiletries. The lounge area opened onto a balcony with fabulous views of the city - especially at night. The staff were just brilliant and could not do enough for us - everyone from housekeeping to reception to the restaurant staff were great. Alasandrassa (?) at Reception worked some miracles for us and we're really grateful to her for making, and not breaking, our honeymoon. Thank you everyone. A most definite recommendation to stay if in London. Lovely location.

Lovely hotel in great location for the westend. Rooms very comfortable, outside windows could do with an upgrade to offer better double glazing and noise suppression.

  • 2/5 Max S. 2 years ago on Google
The staff botched instructions to hold a bag of dirty laundry at the desk for an outside laundry service to pick up, and sent it to their own laundry service instead without asking us. This left us with a surprise $250 dollar charge for what would have been at most $15 at a laundromat. They ultimately reduced the charge, and Simon was very helpful in tracking down the missing laundry, but it was a horrible experience that took hours and hours out of our vacation to deal with and still left us quite a bit out of pocket.

Stayed at this hotel for a weekend a while ago. The rooms are very nice and the view is fantastic from the floor we were on. Also the room service is great - Caesar salad definitely recommended. Definitely a must

Nice hotel, super location, clean rooms. Does not have a gym. At least a small space to have some exercise would be great. Rooms are a bit slim. Some more space would be great.

We had lunch on a day they were very quite due to covid. Service and food were excellent. We we on a deal so it was very reasonable but extras were comparatively expensive as they are of course charged at the restaurants normal tariff.

Great location - walking or easy transit access to everything London has to offer. However, the hotel is dated and the rooms are far from elegant. The staff is very kind but we actually got locked out of our room because their system didn’t keep a card on file (how very Anna Delvey). Skip the hotel bar.

  • 1/5 Johannes P. 1 year ago on Google
Unfortunately not going in line with the other reviews. After arriving the hotel, the cavendish asked for a credit card block of 150€ which for me was highly unusual because the stay was paid upfront. Arriving in the room, the smell was bad and the service was also not very kind for what you could at least expect from a hotel in that kind of area. Furthermore, the breakfast didn’t have coffee and after several times of asking and waiting, the breakfast also disappointed. Maybe I should give two stars because one of the service employees was at least picking up on that note. Sorry to write this critical review but also want to be sincere and warning other guests. Hope it helps in you making the right choice. Bye and take care

Meh. Let's start with the positive: The location is incredible. It is central to many attractions, great restaurants, around the corner from the tube. The hotel is nestled on a quite street full of lovely boutique shops. The bed was nice a comfortable. Housekeeping was prompt and kept our room tidy. The staff was helpful and friendly The negative: The room was almost damp and incessantly musky. The bathroom was fine and served it's purpose but no more. The shower fine, but for the caliber we expected for a hotel of this price we found ourselves disappointed. We found ourselves at the bar on our first night and the staff was unsure of how to make a martini. We were served a lukewarm cup of gin after a long confusing wait on how to make the drink. I felt bad and tried to help with the recipe but alas... On our second night we found a note requesting a card for the remainder of our visit. My card had already been charged the full amount on night one. They insisted they had trouble with their system and that they would check the following day. The next night we returned to the room to find we were locked out. I went downstairs to get our keys reactivated and they said they had locked us out due to nonpayment. I pulled up my bank statement to show them the charge and they reinstated our access. On the final day, they charged my card the full amount again which I had to dispute with my credit card. There was some strange leak coming from the ceiling in the lobby. It was not a BAD stay by all means, it just wasn't great. It is listed as a 4-star hotel but this was no better than a Radisson or LaQuinta.

This is my second time going for bottomless prosecco afternoon tea at the Cavendish. The service was excellent (our waitress Jurate), the little sandwiches were very fresh, and the scones are my all-time favourite. We felt a little bit let down with the patisserie, the lemon tart was not homemade, the choux were filled with heavy chocolate ganache instead of earl grey cream as expected and the red velvet cake was good. I have notified the restaurant manager (Kapil) of my disappointment and was promised another chance to try their finest patisserie.

Didn't stay but used their excellent parking service. Both Richard the Concierge and Richard the doorman were so helpful and all sorted easily and safely. Definitely park there again - great price for Central London - highly recommend 👏

Rooms feel a bit dated and decor needs a refresh. We found it a bit hard to communicate with the lady on reception (Kristin?) as her English wasn’t the best and she had a bit of a frosty attitude. There was quite a bit of street noise at night too. But Ahmed the doorman was a delight! He was so helpful, hailing us a cab, moving our luggage, checking that our room keys and air-con worked. He went above and beyond and is the best thing about the hotel!
