I had my wedding at paracel restaurant a few weeks ago. I worked with Matt who sold himself as a DJ, event coordinator and someone who does it all (or his dad or wife will take care of things). But that is a MISTAKE and truly hurts their business. He was a great DJ- I will give him that. But he did forget what was next up on the schedule even though I sent him the timeline several times. He was not on time with coordinating. He ended up being the bartender as well during cocktail hour because the line was moving so slow. He always took such a long time to respond back to emails. He once told me he didn’t respond that weekend because he had an event but I had already emailed him several times for over a month. I also brought cream pan for dessert in addition to my cake but they completely forgot to serve it. When I picked up the cream pan I noticed 5 pieces were missing as well. The biggest issue I have is that I brought 46 bud vases with flowers for the tables. When I went back the next day I only found 4 by the bar. All the food was cleared from the tables except the glassware. I asked many of my guests if they took any and no one said they did. The venue claims the guests took them all, but there is NO WAY all 42 vases were taken. I can see half being gone but 42 is excessive. I have photos from the last minutes of the night that show the vases were there. I have every right to believe Paracel Restaurant or their employees have them because whoever cleaned up the tables should know where they are. They are beautiful vases and I wouldn’t be surprised if they wanted to keep it for themselves. I do feel they are lying to me. Matt is a salesperson and has always tried to upsell things or act like he really cares when he doesn’t (because he didn’t know what was happening even though it was on the timeline). If you have a small budget, want no frills and thrills, and is really relaxed about your wedding then this is the place for you. The food is at least decent and the venue is nice compared to Chinese banquet restaurants. Paracel should hire a REAL event coordinator and should not oversell their services.

Service does not respect customers. Food is very dirty. And the bottled drinks are all fakes

If you've been looking to wow your guests with a multi-course Asian family style meal at the venue of your choice, for an incredible price and paired with amazing service, congratulations, your search is over. Paracel is one of very few places that will cater Asian banquet food at your venue and actually cook the food on-site in a mobile kitchen. Let me repeat. These guys actually cook the food ON SITE at YOUR VENUE. Not at their restaurant & then bring over in a box so that it's been sitting/lukewarm when dinner starts. No, it's actually served hot & fresh. Go ahead and try to find another place that does it better. I'll wait. Our journey with Paracel started in 2019 as we searched high and low in for a caterer who can serve Asian family style food for our then-2020 wedding at South Park Center in DTLA. We've also looked at Grace, Top, Panda, and Furiwa. In the end, Paracel emerged as the clear winner in terms of value and menu selection. We even sent our picky bridesmaids to do a tasting on our behalf, after which they collectively responded with two big thumbs up. When we had to ultimately postpone our wedding to 2022, Matthew the catering manager was more than understanding about moving our date. Throughout the entire 3 year process, we've bugged him with countless questions via text, emails, and phone calls. He's honestly one of the nicest people you'll ever meet and was always happy to address all our concerns quickly and thoroughly. Even when logistic hurdles arose as our big day drew close, Matt took the initiative to resolve them with our venue directly and saved us a ton of headaches. On the actual wedding day, Paracel arrived promptly to set up the mobile kitchen and all the tables. As a big surprise, Matt upgraded our standard plates to a beautiful translucent floral plate set that elevated the elegance of the entire table setting. They also moved 100 chairs for us between ceremony and reception spaces during cocktail hour, which was another gesture of goodwill that we greatly appreciated. And course, there is the food. We opted for the gold package that consisted of the 6-star platter, fish maw soup, house special lobster, the shaken beef, honey walnut shrimp, Peking duck, whole-steamed fish, yang-chow fried rice, and the fruit soup. We were only able to sample the first 4 dishes until we had to make rounds at all the tables, but all of them were delicious - with the lobster & garlic noodles being our personal favorite. To say that the food was a huge hit our guests would be a massive understatement. Many of them have told us it was simply the best dinner they've had at a wedding, or that they couldn't believe we were able to have this level of quality Asian banquet food served outside a restaurant. There was not a single guest who didn't overstuff themselves by the end of the night because the food just kept coming and coming and coming. Luckily Paracel also provided to-go boxes, so many of our guests ended up taking the leftovers home. At the end of the day, we could not have been happier to have chosen Paracel to cater our wedding. We booked them with high expectations and they absolutely knocked it out of the park with both the quality of the food and their professionalism. It had been such a pleasure working with Matthew, his father, and the entire Paracel team, and to be able to support their family business in Westminster. Thank you Paracel once again for helping make our dream wedding become a reality!

Paracel Seafood for its extremely reasonable, and accommodating price, is unbeatable. My wife and I have been working to coordinate a wedding, and Paracel's events team has been so supportive and adaptive to our needs and vision. The food options are very yummy, and their events team has worked with me and my wife to create a set of foods that matches what taste we wanted to have for our guests. Although their team was flexible, they were also very informative and experienced in making suggestions they thought would serve me and my partner best. This was our first time coordinating such a large event, and Matthew, the restaurant's event coordinator, sat down with us and answered each question we had. He was so patient and warm with his responses, and also has a wealth of experience to guide us through this huge event in our lives. He provided us with a easily digestable guide of how the event would be ran at their venue, and discussed with us how he would adapt the event to what was important to me and my wife (from music, to table arrangement, etc.). My wife and I are also a multicultural couple, and felt that the events team was very mindful to accommodate our different cultures and ensure that all guests of different generations and languages were welcomed. This was very important to us, and we felt like Paracel provided us that inclusive home for our diverse group of guests. For the food, events support, and price: this is place that provides the whole package. I really recommend this location. The people are honest, extraordinarily nice and warm, and transparent. These are all qualities, I feel are important to having a stress-free event.

What an experience, I was part of a wedding party and everything was perfect thanks to the help of Matthew and the staff! The food service for the restaurant was phenomenal, lobster, a Vietnamese charcuterie plate, shaken beef, and amazing soup it was all delicious. The bartenders are friendly and polite, plus they know their drinks. I'll mention Matthew again because this human does it all from helping the bride and groom to plan out the ceremony to MCing the ceremony to DJing into the night with bangers that kept the dance floor packed and jumping. If you are looking for a wedding venue, this one should be high on your list of considerations

Paracel Restaurant was our first wedding venue search and turned out to be the best choice! We loved everything about our experience with Paracel, which was extraordinarily wonderful from start to finish. Paracel is a family-owned business. When we booked them, our package included drapings, linens, audio/visual system, lighting, table linens, bar services, flexibility with decorations, etc. We just knew we found the right place! Before our wedding, we had a tasting session to try the food, and that gave us the opportunity to provide input if we wanted any changes to our menu. The food was excellent, and we knew we were in good hands. What my family appreciated most that evening was Matthew, the owner's son, and his father took the time to walk around our table to greet and get to know us more on a personal level. You don't see that level of service often these days, and this just shows that they genuinely care about their patrons. After reading great reviews on Yelp, we also decided to book Matthew as our DJ/MC, and he did not disappoint! He was very attentive to our requests and made himself available to answer any questions during the planning process. Matthew even suggested ideas for the DJ timeline for the evening. He's straightforward, and we never got the impression he was trying to up-sell their services. During our reception, he made sure our guests enjoyed themselves. From being a great host and making sure the program ran smoothly, to helping out with bartending, to getting everyone on the dance floor with his excellent song selections, he was extraordinary and totally delivered. Also, the quality of the food was excellent that evening. Our guests had nothing but good remarks about how delicious it was. Some of our guests had never been to an Asian-style wedding reception and were impressed by the quality and presentation. We cannot thank Matthew and his entire team enough for making the wedding reception spectacular and fun. We even had our guests contacting us after the wedding to inquire more about Paracel. We highly recommend this place and will definitely send our family and friends their way. They went above and beyond our expectations and will make sure your event will be enjoyable and memorable, as they did with ours.

This place was amazing! Definitely book your event here. The owners were kind and helpful and we had such a good time. The food was fantastic too.

Went there for a wedding. The dance floor was big enough. The whole venue was decent size. I think the guest count was 200-250. Parking was sufficient with most of it in the back behind the restaurant. Not sure if the restaurant provided the sound system, but those were quite excellent. They were loud, but no squeals, echoes, screeches, etc. No idea on the cost to book a place there as I was just a guest. But from the guest perspective, it was a nice place to have an event.

Paracel Seafood Restaurant is best place to host wedding or celebration party. The food is quality and delicious. The price is unbelievable. The restaurant had up grade looking elegant and beautiful. The service is excellent. After looking at many restaurants in Los Angeles and Orange County for my son’s wedding, Paracel Seafood restaurant is only one meet our expectations in term unbelievable price, beautiful venue and excellent services. Thanks to Matthew for coordinating for whole event. This will be our family for celebration parties now and future. Recommend everyone check it out.

Very friendly owner. His son is an excellent DJ and MC. The venue is beautiful. The food can be improved a little, especially the lobsters.

I've been to a few weddings here and I've grown to love the place. Very humble and amazing staff who take care of you well. The food is great, especially the roast duck, lobster noodles, and taro dessert!

Lots of parking, delicious food, awesome and attentive staff (bar and food servers), very outgoing dj/emcee, nice host/owner. The venue and personnel were perfect.
