😠 We came in just before 6pm on a Sunday and I had the most bizarre experience. My group ordered 6 Banh Mi to go and then I asked if they could pack 2 bags of the Thai waffle cookies in a hard plastic container so that I could pack them in luggage. They answered "no, we don't do that." So the busines... People often mention banh, sandwiches, good, Lynda, sandwich, beef,

We came in just before 6pm on a Sunday and I had the most bizarre experience. My group ordered 6 Banh Mi to go and then I asked if they could pack 2 bags of the Thai waffle cookies in a hard plastic container so that I could pack them in luggage. They answered "no, we don't do that." So the business missed out on almost $20 of sales or more because the staff would not use one of their plastic containers. Then I asked for beignets and cashier told me that it would be a 20 minute wait and I said no problem. But then the manager came out and said no. No we're not doing beignets were sold out. So that was obvious that they just didn't want to make them for us even though it was still an hour before closing....ok.... That's nice. So after a 5-minute wait we received our Banh mi. I ordered the barbecue pork. It was average at best. The meat was thinly sliced and not plentiful. They were really stingy on the pickled veggies as well. I asked for jalapenos and I counted three thinly sliced pieces. I hear that this place is owned by a famous Vietnamese singer. The place is decorated pretty cool and eclectic, but the furniture looks dingy, dusty, dirty and really needs to be replaced. There are many autographed pictures of celebrities around the place which is totally awesome!! You could tell that someone once took pride in the little cafe but with the bad management and generally unfriendly service, it must be a struggling business or on the way.

Very tasty sandwiches. I got the Lynda special and it was really good. The bead they use is tender in the middle and crispy on the outside. They put cilantro, cucumbers, chili, and other things and the combination of ingredients is out of this world. The decor here is really cool, too. I'll come back again, pho sure.

The wall mural is very nice and owned by Vietnam's famous icons . The sandwiches are affordable but lack the flavor that I was hoping for in a banh mi. I wasn't a fan of the bread as it was too stale for my liking. The cafe feels too cramped

They have really good sandwiches, the grilled beef being my favorite but they fail to get my order right. I don’t eat pork so I always order the beef sandwich but it seems like they get your order right when they want to. I went in today and ordered 3 grilled beef but was given 3 bbq pork sandwiches. The cashiers have so much as argued with me when I ask for the beef sandwich they’ve told me “it’s meatball” so I order the “meatball sandwich” and am still given the wrong thing.

Definitely one of the better sandwich places in the OC. We usually order the bánh mì dac biet and bo kho. Consistently yummy every time. The atmosphere is trendy and welcoming.

The WORST sandwiches for the price. And the staff is RUDE, DIRTY, UNPROFESSIONAL, AND UNSANITARY. I had a quick glimpse into the kitchen when it was opened and saw cockroaches flying in there. And also one small mouse quickly ran across the floor!!!! I will notify the health department about this germ infested place!!! If you value your health, stay away and save your money!

Excellent sandwiches with Vietnamese flavor/ingredients and in a nice family friendly cafe-style environment.

My go to banh mi place when in OC. I usually get their shrimp paste and chay (vegetarian) sandwich. The bread is nice and soft with a slight crunch. The mayo garlic spread makes the sandwich even more delicious!

My family’s go-to for chicken sandwiches. The shredded chicken is flavorful and balances well with the veggies + garnishes. Extra packed and filling. Not dried out and bland like at the other shops. Would definitely recommend!

Lynda’s has the best tasting vegetarian banh mi! I’ve tried a couple other places nearby and they lack a protein source, it’s mostly just veggies. However, Lynda’s actually uses plant based protein, possibly soy curls. They’re seasoned well. You might not be able to tell it wasn’t real animal meat. The texture and flavor is that good! What stands out at Lynda’s is her Mayo based sauce, I haven’t tasted the same flavor at other banh mi places. It’s so good the employees won’t even give you any extra on the side if you offer to pay lol, it’s highly guarded apparently. I also like that they put cucumbers in the banh mi because a certain popular banh mi chain does not and it’s terrible. I’ve had the various meat banh mi in the past and I’d actually prefer the vegetarian one it’s that good

Sometimes, I give poorly rated places a shot because it's not always on them;this place totally deserves their rating. The place was dirty, and most of the tables were covered in grime and trash. The service was nonexistent. When I walked in, the guy working was sitting around watching TV. To me not a big deal, I'd do the same in their position if the work was done and there was a lull in customers. My wife and I ordered the same beef banh mi and a frozen coffee, that's it. The sandwiches took a long time, considering there were zero people in the store. After about 15 minutes, the sandwiches came out. The bread was really good. It was fresh, tasty, and the perfect texture. Everything else on it wasn't good. The meat wasn't actual meat it was like a processed beef product or something. The cilantro was mostly stems, and plenty of them. My wife didn't finish hers, and I wouldn't have had it not been the first meal of my day. The frozen coffee drink arrived 10 minutes after we got our food and was bland and not worth the price or time. Overall, it's a pretty negative experience, and I won't be returning or recommending. With so many other great restaurants so close by, I'm surprised this place is in business.

Incredible authentic Banh Mi. Usually you have to go to a mom and pop shop that a little dirty and loud to get authentic Asian food. But here you get the authenticity with a modern Asian environment. They have plenty of outdoor seating with nature and indoor seating as well. The bathroom is stunning, I didn’t think I would be mentioning it but it was actually one of the cleanest, best smelling bathrooms I’ve been in at a small restaurant; they even have lit candles and interior decor in there. Highly recommend for a good meal, good times, and most importantly of all; a good poop.

I’ve been coming here since it opened and have always enjoyed the food, staff, and atmosphere. Technically, I’ve been coming here before it opened because I had been awaiting the opening and saw the door open, so I walked in. They weren’t open yet, but they made me a sandwich anyway. The Lynda special is my favorite. They have a bunch of your usual banh mi on the menu and other great dishes along with ca phe su da, but I only come for the Lynda special/dac biet banh mi.

Possibly one of the worst dining experiences we have encountered in a “restaurant” type atmosphere. They have tables for guests to dine in, so presumably it is a restaurant. However, there is no waiter to take your orders. You’d have to go to the counter, operated by one cashier, to tell him what you want, and then have to pay for it in advance. The Bun Bo Hue is the worst we had of all our dining years. There were no vegetables on a side plate; no drinking water offered as a courtesy to dine-in customers. This is 21st century, and it seems this place’s dining customer service falls below the acceptable standard. Their employees are indifferent, like robots. Rude. The food is garbage. And they make it sound so succulent on tv referrals. Quite the opposite. The owner, LYNDA, needs to manage her employees much better. These guys need a crash course in restaurant hospitality services. They have no clue. No wonder this place won’t progress to where it needs to be.
