Yesterday evening I was met at the gate by two gentlemen who - to my surprise - were carrying machine guns. I didn't realise we did that in the UK?! The whole sitation was really quite unsavoury and just not cricket. I recommend a boycott on this establishment until the aggressive and offensive weapons have been confiscated from the doormen.

I’m not sure why people are surprised about armed police. This is the official residence of the US Ambassador so of course it had high security

Lovely place to come and wander around. Not sure what planet Simon Godfrey is on - the armed police carry machine guns depending on the role. Boycott - utterly pathetic!
