Bliss. Feels like stepping into the alps.. Really nice ambience and classic comfort food as it's meant to be. I can't really spell the food but.. check the pics out - they were all really good! To be repeated..

A fantastic experience with some amazing food and great service. The restaurant is very well appointed and feels like an authentic experience. Service is efficient, friendly and quick. The food is fantastic. Really great flavours. It might look and read as quite simple but the flavours are fantastic. Had the chicken schnitzel, delicious. Mashed potato and broccoli were both amazing! Highly recommend.

Loved the decor. It was very busy on a Wednesday evening. I ordered the schnitzel ,the regular portion. It was a huge portion very tasty and well prepared. I would like to go back to try some other dishes.

Excellent service, and delicious sausages with potato salad and sauerkraut. My partner had the schnitzel which was also delicious. For dessert we had strudel and sachertorte, which although not like the original was delicious too. Would definitely recommend.

Fabulous Viennese restaurant on Marylebone High Street. The decor is great and the staff are lovely. I really enjoyed my wild boar, which was tender and had lots of flavour. The black forest gateaux was excellent, with lots of cherry and cream balancing out the cake. The have nice cocktails as well, with a selection of alcohol free versions.

Dining at Fischer's in London was an unforgettable journey into the heart of Austrian culinary tradition. From the outset, the schnitzel stood out, brilliantly prepared and accompanied by an Austrian-style potato salad that was the epitome of flavorful simplicity. Every bite echoed the rich nuances of Austrian cuisine, leaving a lasting impression of warmth and satisfaction. Beyond the food, Fischer's ambiance played a crucial role in our experience. Its cool, dark wood interiors not only exuded elegance but also evoked the genuine coziness of a traditional Austrian inn, transporting us miles away from the bustling streets of London. Our meal concluded with the bananas 'foster', a dessert that perfectly encapsulated the blend of tradition and innovation at Fischer's. For anyone in London yearning for an authentic taste of Austria, Fischer's promises not just a meal, but a memorable experience.

It’s been more than 2 years since I’ve visited Fischer’s and it’s like no time has passed at all! Still the same lovely food and lovely service. So happy they’ve made it through. Thanks for a wonderful meal!!!

I took my parents to Fischers on a Monday, late January afternoon, to mark a special occasion, and it really was fantastic. The food was really well balanced. The only criticism would be the schnitzel was a tiny bit dry. But all the sides and accompaniment’s were excellent. The starters pretty good. Desert was fantastic (don’t normally say that) I had trifle. The restaurant is beautiful, staff are lovely. I definitely left wanting to try more of the food. So planning a trip back for duck 🦆 and sausages. Oh and parents said ‘it was the most they had enjoyed somewhere for a really long time’.

A wonderful Austrian restaurant in Marylebone. The interior is beautifully decorated and staff are very nice and attentive. The food is very authentic and absolutely delicious, from the Schnitzel to the Käsespätzle to the Kaiserschmarrn. The prices are quite high but it's well worth it for a special occasion.

The food is okay, frankly nothing special but okay. Prices are preposterously high for what you get. For example the chicken schnitzel, i.e., a breaded chicken cutlet is sold for £21.75 + £1.75 cover charge + 15% "discretionary" service added to your bill. Hence for about £26 you get one piece of chicken with no side! If you want mashed potatoes you need to add £5.50 extra + 15% discretionary service. The atmosphere of the place is interesting but, i my opinion, in central London you can get better value for your money.

This is a very nice place to go to! First of all the feel and look of the place. It is so welcoming and so comfortable. I love the booths, giving you a little bit of privacy. Everything fits together and is just really classy. We were greeted by such a nice front of house manager and she made sure all the guests are happy with everything throughout the evening. Now, it is not usual to see such care for customers and that is definitely something that wins you over! But all staff were very nice and welcoming. And food? Delicious! Weather you go for a small bite or a big feast, everything is prepared with care and tastes exquisite. I love the borscht soup, which was different than one I am used to. We went with sausages (würstchen) because it is definitely a speciality. Spätzle with butter to die for! Very hearty meal, barely left us a space for a dessert. Price wise the place charges for the quality and service they provide. I think both are worth what you are paying for. I will be definitely coming back!

Came there without booking for a lunch and managed to get a table. Since it is supposed to be an Austrian restaurant and we really like the food, wanted to give a try. First of all, I would say the food is not pure Austrian, but more like a mixture between English and Austrian. For example, they have both an Apple strudel and and a crumble. Still it is really tasty and well cooked (the fish was fantastic and goulash was pretty good as well). Also the staff is attentive and helpful. The prices are upscale. All in all, I would recommend visiting Fischer’a if you are in the area (but better to book in advance just to be on the safe side).

I keep coming to this place as Everything is good from The food to the staff . The interior is quite elegant too. Please save room for Kaiserschmarrn, shredded pancake with fruit compote. Sacher torte is very good too. It never disappoints.

I was only in London for one night, so had difficulty guessing what time we’d be eating so hadn’t booked. Fortunately, being two of us, we were able to slot in between bookings and have a quick 2 course dinner. I’d highly recommend the Wiener Schintzel with gravy. The courgette was a great accompaniment too. The decor was amazing. Reminded me of all the dark wood in my Viennese grandmother’s house. Do nip to the toilets! I wouldn’t normally mention toilets in a restaurant review but they were so authentic. I’d recommend booking!

First time I've been here but the food was really nice. I tried the vieniese breakfast which was really unusual. The cheese alone did not taste like cheese, something better

Fisher is where I’ve discovered a bit of Austria in the belly of London. Been there twice and never ever disappointed, quite the opposite. Atmosphere: awesome. Cuisine: even better than what I’ve experienced in Vienna (not kidding 😇). Staff is top notch, the interiors are outstanding (although I feel sorry for the stuffed animals on the walls). Leave room for the dessert, whatever you’re taking. Mint tea was also perfect, helps you feeling lighter.

I went with a group of friends who are in university and we all felt like the host looked down on us upon walking in despite dressing well. The service was sort of slow and they often missed out on forks or plates. Towards the end, our bill was nearly £40pp and the servers were finally nicer to us. However, the food and decor was 10/10. Everything I ordered on the three course menu + the schnitzel was top tier. Would rate 5 stars if it was not for the service.

A busy restaurant and a limited slot for booked table. For me personally I don't like that restriction, but I understand it. Very much enjoyed Austrian fayre and the service was impeccable. Went for small (right portion for me) veal schnitzel and shared sides with others. Very nice but veal had some grisly parts. Highlight was brulee rice pudding for dessert. Prices were reasonable. At the time Google maps showed restaurant closed on Saturday's, but I see that has been rectified now.

Fantastic ambience with traditional food. Highly recommended. Had the rye bread starts which were very good. Chicken schnitzel was beautifully cooked and delicious - generously sized portion. The veggie dish was also very good (sorry can’t remember the name of it). The house white wine was great. The winner is definitely the decor and ambiance - authentic Vienna Art Deco feel. The service is very friendly but can be understandably a bit slow during busy times. It’s not cheap but worth the experience. Overall highly recommended

Authentic Austrian food in the heart of Marylebone. Loved the grand old decor. Had a rich and heavy meal as we expected. Pickled herrings were beautifully cured. Steaming hot Goulash warmed up the cold autumn day.

Food Austrian 🇦🇹 restaurant if you like schnitzel and sausages. Friend and I went for lunch. Was fairly empty on the weekend if you arrive around 12ish. The waiters are friendly and they try to space the table out and give good seats to you if available. Food is great. It’s probably the more authentic one you can get in London. Nice interior decor with warm and darker tones of finishes. Ideal for casual lunch with friends and family. Or even a date

Wonderful atmosphere and value for money. Very interesting lavatories (check out the walls!) The vegetarian menu is a joy! Vegan also available. Deserts are fabulous!! Just fabulous. Tea could be better... Waiter's are reliable. All in all, definitely a place you'll want to revisit. Additional plus being the wonderful neighborhood where the restaurant is located.

Wiener Wiener Chicken Dinner! After an unseasonably warm day, we rocked up at Fischer feeling very underdressed in shorts given the grandeur of the lovely décor and fitting of this wonderful restaurant near Marylebone Station. The staff greeted us warmly and had been kind enough to honour a COVID impacted delay of utilising a gift voucher – so far, so very good! We had a lovely corner table, secluded yet in keeping with the vibe of a Viennese restaurant. You could be forgiven to think that just outside was the Rathaus or Wiener Staatsoper. The service was lovely and our waitress was attentive and gave us plenty of time to consider our options. Drinks first – Laura got a wonderful glass of red wine served in a separate jug and I spotted Almdudler which I hadn’t seen since being in Austria! What a cracking touch! As soon as we were served our drinks, out came the starters. The chicken broth with pancakes went down a treat, as did the salmon on rye bread. The addition of lemon and capers were a delight. Nothing felt rushed even though it was a busy Saturday evening and everything was running like clockwork – befitting of the large clock centrepiece in the middle of the restaurant surrounded by the dim lighting. Brightening up our meal further came with the mains. The croquettes were delightful and the Wieners went wonderfully with the potato salad and sauerkraut. Finally, to finish things off, we managed to get through the rice pudding and Kaiserschmarnn. Both were outstanding, and having discussed with the waitress our love of ‘Nougatschmarnn’ in Vienna, she brought out some dark chocolate sauce to go with it. What a legend! This is the place to go if you want a taste of Vienna and brought back much nostalgia for us from our time there. We’ll be heading there again to work our way through the menu…and long for the day that Tafelspitz makes an appearance!

Went to this Austrian café /restaurant in Marylebone High Street for a coffee and couldn't resist their Esterhazy cake which was delicious! The tea/coffee was served in silverware pots, the napkins were linen and the waiters were nicely attired and very efficient and the general ambience took you to another era. Will definitely go again once to try the famous Sacher Torte with coffee and another time to have the Wiener Schnitzel for lunch.

We really enjoyed our early dinner at the Fischer’s. there was a table available without a reservation. Then the place got really busy, so I’d recommend to book it. Great food and impeccable service. Chilled Borsch tasted amazing on a hot day, and the beef goulash was lovely. Thank you!

Fischer's restaurant offers classic Austrian fare, accompanied by a well-curated wine selection and delicious coffee. The ambiance takes you back to old-world Vienna. Don't miss their flavorful chopped chicken salad and refreshing lemon sorbet ice cream. Seating on the street provides a great spot for people-watching. Overall, Fischer's restaurant is a delightful culinary journey that captures the essence of old-world Vienna. From the classic Austrian fare to the evocative ambiance, every element is carefully crafted to transport guests to a bygone era. Whether you're looking for a leisurely lunch, a romantic dinner. Enjoy @remnantsrita

One of the most beautiful restaurants I've been to in London (and I've lived here for 24 years) - the interior will transport you back in time and to Austria. The Wiener Holstein Schnitzel was delicious - and I don't usually like schnitzel. Their selection of desserts is also fabulous.

My first time at Fischers. Lovely 1930s themed Austrian food. Service was excellent, all very professional but also very nice and welcoming. The food I had was very good. I definetly want to go back to try a few more menu items. Sorry for the dark photos - did not want to use flash photography inside.

The ambiance was spot on. Cosy, inviting, with an authentic feel of Vienna. Extremely friendly staff, very helpful and attentive. Foodwise, the portions were excellent but the seasoning was either too much or too little on some dishes. After starters and mains we were too full to have dessert but we do plan to return especially for that :)

I've been to Austria quite a lot and this restaurant is authentic with its food and decor. Be prepared to spend money, but it is worth it. We had a lovely meal. The staff were great and added to the experience and ambiance.

We went for Brunch which is a simpler menu. Previously I have had a lunch menu. Austrian theme and food influences, but you can have a full English Breakfast, or choose eggs anyway with all the sides you want. Portions are large. Plenty of healthy options. The egg with potatoes and fried onion looked delicious. Decor is 1930's Austrian railway station cafe, its very tastefully done, with lovely atmosphere. Good service and friendly staff. The lunch and dinner menus are on line, their chopped liver is delicious, and various healthy salads.

Nice Austrian restaurant with a warm dining atmosphere, good services. Tried the typical dish Schnitzels which I found ok but a bit dry. The side dishes of pickled cucumber salad, sauerkraut & potato salad were good.

This is **the best** Austrian restaurant in London - speaking as someone who lived in Vienna for many years. I would be remiss if I didn't highlight the quality of their cuisine, ambience and service. Recommend the mustard herring and salmon (tried the selection of 3 but liked the mustard one better), the beetroot salad is splendid, regular wiener & holstein schnitzel were phenomenally authentic, fries & mash as sides very very good, to drink we really enjoyed the wine and sazerac, followed by the traditional dessert Kaiserschmarrn!! Top notch from the fish mains was the whole sole, off the bone, - words cant do it justice!!!! Must try it!!! Nice to have enhancements would be: serve warm bread vs room temperature, austrian potato salad to be thinly sliced vs wedged.
