never again what a terrible place from walking up to the door to table..we had a booking for a party of 12 the bouncers were rude arrogant and dismissive.....the waiter was ok over worked...the place doesn't know whether it wants to be a night club or restaurant . slow slow slow service.. they served an espresso martini in a champagne flute...half measures..I am sure trading standards would not be impressed..the food was terrible I could have bought better French fries from McDonalds and they would have had better flavour three measly tacos for 4 people ......you cannot even redeem yourselves serving sloppy pasta what a disgrace....you lot won't see me coming ...ever Again ...you think your something you are not because you are in Sloane St but you are bringing the area down....

Extremely disappointed with our dinner here. We can to see a performer, who was great, although the music kept cutting out. But the food.... It was the worst meal I have had in a long time, soo overpriced for the quality we had. The sushi was awful, small portions, quality was at best from a supermarket. The service was rushed, no one ever ordered their drinks at the same time, it was all over the place. Really wasn't worth the journey, expense or hype.

If you value the vibe of a restaurant over the quality of food and are looking more for somewhere to turn into a bit of a party and a night out with loud music, then this is the place for you. If you are a foodie and want somewhere to catch up with friends, I would avoid. All of the dishes are designed to be shared, but all the portions are quite small. The chef refused to cook my friend’s sliders well done and were still quite pink in the middle. We were also seated right by the bar, which meant that from about halfway through our meal, we just had people standing around our table drinking, which was quite off putting.

Touts itself as Japanese and Italian fusion. Not sure about that. It’s more “Japanese next to Italian”. Bit odd having red sauce Gnocchi next to a platter of sushi rolls… individually the food was all fine but made no sense being on the same menu. Will say they have great prawns. Both tempura or otherwise they were all excellent and obviously good produce. The rest was all pretty much “fine”. Decent drinks, friendly service, nice setup in general. It’s just let down by a failed concept. 8pm-10pm the place was very quiet with a fair few family tables, including very young children and babies. Not the “scene” I think this place is going for. Live DJ and wasn’t too intrusive so perhaps learned from other reviews. Overall /5 Food: 2.5 Drink: 4 Atmosphere: 3 Service: 4 Price/value: 3 16.5/25 3.3/5 Would recommend finding a decent Japanese or Italian restaurant instead.

Horrendous. Dark. Excessively dark and very expensive for mediocre food. Rushed. Money grabbers. The worst service and rude staff in Knightsbridge. 1. It was so dark the flash from my phone wasn't enough to read the menu. 2. When asked the manager to please just lower a little bit the music as I could not hear the person sat next to me, I was told in a very nasty way "this is what people like, if I lower the volume the tables around you will be upset" (there were 4 tables and everyone seemed to struggle to hear each other) also he had extremely bad breath. 3. Expensive. Dinner for three eating very little and sharing everything costed £400. 4. Rushed service. The plates would be taken away from us before we even finished the food! 5. Money grabbers. A few days before our reservation I was called TWICE to 'reconfirm the booking' (bare in mind I booked through their website and paid the deposit) During the call I was told that if I wanted to go to the nightclub downstairs I needed to pay for the drinks immediately over the phone because they had to be purchased in advance (first time ever hearing this).

One of my favourite places in London! The service is exceptional and the food is just as good. I would definitely recommend ordering a number of dishes for the table to share.

I has a lovely time at this venue. The food was amazing but the best bit was when we went to the upper bar we were served by Johan and Alessandro.they made us special cocktails and looked after us the whole night. Defiantly recommend a promotion for them. I love the atmosphere of the upper bar. What a lovely staff members they have!!

The team were friendly, fun, it was a great atmosphere and the music was good. But I’m soo disappointed w/the food, 120£ minimum spend and although it looked good, unfortunately it was very cold. Also, the table cleaning between meal was terrible. I had to ask for them to clear the plates after starters and mains. When they brought the birthday cake out, the table could have done w/being wiped.

Whether you’re visiting for the lively atmosphere or to enjoy the Italian or Asian/Sushi cuisine, Sumosan will be sure to exceed your expectations. With the restaurant and bar spread over two floors and a late night club in the basement, this is still one of the top places to be seen in London for late night entertainment and dining.

Came for a birthday meal. Atmosphere could have been better! There’s two floors for dining. I heard this place is a Bagatelle Vibe, our table and another table were up for dancing on the dining floor. Mango Quinoa Salad and The Aubergine mains I’d rate 10/10! Truffle was decent nothing special for the price you’re paying. Music was on point! If you’re with the right crowd you’ll definitely have an awesome night. Staff were friendly and offered us a table in the basement in the club. We ordered 8 shots but took about 20 mins to arrive. Dessert also took about 45 mins to arrive. We ordered last drinks and they forgot to serve it so we cancelled it. No biggy ! Overall we had a great time , would love to come back if there’s a party vibe!

As per the majority of the reviews, the live music was too loud. Not the spot for a conversation. Much like the majority of the UK, staffing is challenged and the quality of service is affected but not to the point of needing to boycot this restaurant. Sure we were lacking on a pair of chopsticks - easily solved by grabbing from.an empty table - and the staff were hard to flag down when it came to getting the bill. Staff are not attentive when you are not their focus but when they are serving you they are good and will give you their complete attention. Not a spot to go on a date (unless you're looking to pick up a date whilst at your table) nor go with the in laws but a good spot for entertainment and people watching - about 80% female to male ratio, butbyou'd best bring your wallet, chaps. What brought this rating up from 3 stars was the fact that the food was excellent. TLDR: Too loud, great food.

London’s restaurants are one of the world’s most iconic ones, when it comes to fine dining, just like Sumosan Twiga. The restaurant serves the contemporary Japanese menu that the brand is known for but also includes an Italian menu as part of a collaboration with Flavio Briatore founder of Italian beach club, Twiga. We had such a fabulous evening with a live show. Food was super delicious with amazing flavours. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Sommelier was pairing our food with different wines which a was a cherry on the cake! Must try in London - one of the best restaurants in terms of food and vibes!!

Food was lovely. It would have been nice if a bigger selection of halal food was available. Atmosphere was nice. A big but was that I knew I was going to pay a lot from the outset. However, when the Waitress asked for a tip on top of a service charge. It was very uncomfortable. I did give 10% but it is wrong to ask given the service charge as well.

Swanky and sexy. Great fusion of dishes, delightfully presented. Wonderful staff, and the diners turned into singers when the karaoke started. A must go-to place.

Nice vibe, 3 or 4 levels of pure entertainment. Nice place to go after dinner and before clubbing if that’s your thing. Check it out.

The ability to choose between a decent selection of Italian and Japanese cuisine is great, along with the atmosphere. Although most of the food is really good, I really enjoy the miso Black Cod and Truffle Mash.

I had a dinner with my friends and and I was amazed on how tastefully decorated the place just walking in. The staff is very pleasant with us and helped us with the food choices. We had different types of dishes (japanese to Italian) and they were super flavourful. And the best part is that they had live music which made our dinner really entertaining. I will definitely be back and recommend it to all my friends ❤️

It is a very ‘posey’ place but that being said, the food is above and beyond! We all had Italian starters and sushi for mains and it worked so well! The singers were also fab, it was a little too loud but you get used to it in the end. Perhaps a little short staffed but who isn’t these days. Honestly very good atmosphere and would recommend to friends.
