Absolutely great food! Came here for my son's birthday and every was great, but watch how much you order because the portions are filling. Our waiter was phenomenal and his drink suggestions were perfect. The Sausage and seafood gumbo was loaded and delicious. Yes everything is a bit pricey but it's is Absolutely worth it.

Haven't been here in way too long, so glad we went. I recall the food and service being excellent and still is. We tried a lot of items so the bill was on the higher side but it's our choice. The shrimp and crayfish fondeaux is an old favorite of mine as are the stuffed shrimp. They were super busy at 7 pm but service was prompt and very good. Highly recommend.

I’ve visited this location several times over the years when my family travels to Chicago. I’m always happy with the service I receive, the cleanliness and the food. I have to take a moment and thank the manager on duty the day we can. I accidentally ordered something that had beef in it and had no idea and I don’t eat beef and he took it off my bill and made sure I got something else. That was some tremendous service. Just overall great experience as always. Always leave satisfied.

Make sure you have a reservation or your going to be waiting for a while. Once we sat down and ordered our food came pretty fast. The waitress is very helpful if needed. Once the food came out tasted delicious with some spice. I've had gator before and this did not taste like it but still good.

We went because we were celebrating our anniversary! This was my first time here and I can't wait to return. The drinks were amazing! The fried mozzarella was different and delicious! My dish with my servers recommendation was mouth-watering! And dessert, I've had a lot of banana puddings this has been by far one of my favorites. Let's not forget about our server Patrick! He was very knowledgeable about the menu and his suggestions were definitely on point. You gotta appreciate an employee who knows what he is talking about and how to sell it. Keep up the great work Patrick!

Made a reservation here to celebrate two birthdays. Waited less than 5 min for our table to be ready which was surprising since it was very busy with graduation season. Our server Devin was super helpful & attentive. He helped give us recommendations on what to drink & eat when I couldn't decide. Food was delicious & brought out quick. I had the pasta with shrimp, lump crab, & scallops in a white wine sauce that was very filling and the Hennessey margarita drink. Definitely will be back again.

It was a great time celebrating birthdays. Food, ambiance and the service were great. This wasn’t our fist time here but had a chance to sit outside in the beautiful Chicago weather. The place was great for us and we took ton of pictures by there outdoor waterfall. Kids really enjoy their food and we would defiantly come back for more.

I guess the wait time is due to Valentine season cos the wait time was outrageous; about two hours wait. But it was worth it, the food and lemonade was really great, and the bread? I totally love! I was so full cos I couldn’t stop eating the fresh bread. The server was kind and helpful and patient.

Great seafood. The fried alligator is delicious! The “Out of Office” drink was nice. The shrimp po’ boy is also a hit. Very fast service on weekdays but busy on the weekend/prime hours.

Save your money and buy uncle Ben’s instead, or zatarains lol. The food is flavorless and service is terrible. Monday night around 7:30pm. Gumbos did not come out at same time, even though we ordered together, then they take 20 minutes to bring a spoon. Make sure they give you the right gumbo, because they mixed mine up. The catfish was salty. The fried soft crab was flavorless They didn’t refill our waters, after we asked politely. The pina colada I ordered, they forgot the alcohol. The mozzarella bites came out cold. The red beans and rice came out with hard rice. The dirty rice was tasted bland. The food overall lacked seasoning, needed spices. And the best part they sat us in a terrible space, hitting my head on the wall ornament. The server responded “Maybe your used to more alcohol” “You thought it was going to be spicy? (which kind of felt racist if I’m being honest )”

Would 100% go out of my way to eat here again. Everything was delicious, the staff was great, there's lots to look at around the restaurant. So many options and a bunch of dessert options too.

Killer as usual. How could I have never left a review here? Definitely not our first time here but it’s been a while since we have eaten here. Trying low card snd couldn’t have chosen a better selection, WOW!! Waitress and waiters are all VERY friendly and it has a great atmosphere. We will make it a point to make the 2 1/2 hour drive to eat here again soon. It is absolutely worth it if you are a seafood aficionado.

How does this place have so many good reviews?? We went for my partner's birthday dinner, and were just disappointed every step of the way. We started with beers and the crab dip. Dip was okay, not sure if it's supposed to be hot or lukewarm, but ours was slightly above room temperature. Before we could take a bite of our appetizer, my meal came out. Not both of our meals, just mine. Our waitress said his would be out shortly. We ate the appetizer while waiting for his food, and mine got cold. About 15 minutes later, our waitress came by and asked if we saved room for dessert. I said we were still waiting for his entire meal. She brought more bread and said the manager would stop by the table. 15 more minutes go by, we start eating my (now room temp) plate. Fries and oysters lose their appeal after sitting for 20+ minutes. When our waitress stopped by asking if the manager has been over, we let her know he has not yet. 10 more minutes later, our missing entree shows up. Still no manager. Our waitress says she was able to get a comped piece of cheesecake to take home. A nice gesture, but we waited an additional 10 minutes for that to be brought out, and at this point we just want to leave. A gentleman I presume to be the manager watched us get up from the table and wished us a good night. Not a great look. To be clear, we didn't ask for the manager to stop by at any point. We were told, unprompted, that they would swing by our table. I understand kitchen/food mistakes happen, however paying full price for a 40 minute late meal is just bad management. We have no issue paying for good food, in this instance, the prices didn't match the experience. I don't understand the hype for this place and based off our experience and the food, wouldn't recommend or return.

Went to Chicago for my birthday trip with the husband and kids. Husband and I had reservations for 8pm. Didn’t know they closed that early but the site let you select that time. Reservations is recommended or you’ll be waiting. I didn’t like how that bunch tables anywhere to pack people in. I was too close to other tables and the hosted desk. The food was ok I’ve had better. The best thing was the seafood gumbo. Husband had a meal with oysters and got sick after we left. I will try again one day maybe in Houston or Louisiana next time.

Great vibe at this location. Super friendly staff. Excellent waiter. Good was nicely presented and tasted great. Big loaf of fresh baked bread while we waited for our dinners. Depending on your mood there seems to be 2 different options for seating. We enjoyed our off to the side quieter room setting for Valentine's day. Kinda private with only 4 tables. If you want a more vibrant scene, ask to sit in the main dining area, there is a little more to ambiance out there. Overall great, fun Cajun setting. Thanks

Great location and very good food! We tried Boudin, which was very interesting. The grilled shrimp and grits was delightful! The Swamp thing cocktail was HUGE and tasty. Looking forward to trying more items on the menu.

I was so excited to find this place. I love the food in New Orleans but don’t have any plans to go back and it’s hard to find comparable food. This place brings a taste of NoLa. I got the crab cow which was delicious and the Cajun salmon with crawfish and shrimp (forget the actual dish name) it was so delicious too my only downside about it is the rice that comes with it has meat in it and they don’t warn you ahead of time. I don’t eat meat and realized it has had pieces in it after it arrived fortunately they were able to substitute it out with something else I chose the spaghetti squash which was amazing! The service was ok was a bit odd that once I told them I don’t eat meat they made me scrape the rice off my plate myself but guess they were busy all in enjoyed it

Our waiter Keith has outstanding customer service skills and when we return to Pappadeaux Seafood Kitchen we only want him to serve us and no one else. He made sure that we were comfortable, our glasses stayed full without asking and he is very polite and chivalrous. Thank you Keith for showing us some hospitality and keep doing a fantastic job. We truly appreciate your service‼️

Pappadeaux has delicious (and expensive) seafood in a lively atmosphere. The NOLA style drinks are fruity and strong--try the Hurricane! Their shrimp & grits is excellent, as is the etouffee and rainbow trout w/truffle potatoes. Make sure to get key lime pie for dessert. Service has been just okay and last visit the restrooms were a disaster. Entrees average $30 so expect to drop a pretty penny for dinner. Mardi Gras gets CRAZY!

Great food great service nothing more to say really except try everything lol fried alligator shrimp & grits fried stuffed crab 🦀... only negative comment I would give is the fried catfish is underseasoned compared to the other items I've had better tasting fried catfish at Harolds Chicken by the united center ON Madison in Chicago but everything else Chefs kiss 💋
