Every day we spent about 20 thousand ruppies in Sandagiri, since its a very expensive market. Once I came to complain that the jar of cream I bought in Sandagiri was half empty. They sold me an half empty cream. I came with a check to replace the mistake. And they told me that I was lying and spent the cream myself. Disrespectful attitude towards customers.

I go there often and the cashier is often rude. Never says hello even to answer to mine, never thank you or welcome, and almost throwing the change back to me... The door-opening guy always says "bag" instead of greetings, even if he see that im moving straight to the locker... Other workers follow people not to help, but to watch them, as if all customers are thieves...I really start to hate it when I have to use this shop, as I feel really unwelcome there. Hope they will change something towards customers, thats why I write this note

This is not really a grocery store. Huge store yet isles had little variaton in products, mostly imported goods catered for tourists. Would be much nicer if they had fresh bread and a bigger fruit and veggie selection. They had a lot of tea options though

They forced me to leave a tiny purse, where there was only a wallet and a phone at the entrance. They were rude. They said they didn't have a complaint book. The store manager refused to introduce herself, refused to give a complaint book, refused to say where to write a complaint. She only said that she is pregnant and had children.

After dinner, I'm going to buy something here. The management of this supermarket is crazy. I have important things in my carry-on bag, and I don't trust to put them in the cupboard. The security guard enjoyed his rights and would not allow the visitor in if he refused to put his bag in. Tourists are rich. There's no need to steal your cheap stuff. We were also worried that one of your employees might have stolen something from our bag.

The sandagiri supermarket is held on Hikkaduwa town(infront of Circuit hotel Hikkaduwa. The Sandagiri supermarket has places for fresh meat, fresh produce , dailry, deli items, baked goods, etc. Shelf space is also reserved for canned and packaged goods and for various non-food items such as household cleaners , phamacey and medicine  products and pet supplies. supermarkets also sell other household products that are consumed regularly, such as alcohol (where permitted), medicine, and clothing , and some sell a much wider range of non-food products. The sadagiri supermarket occupies a large amount of floor space, usually on a single level. It is usually situated near a residential area in order to be convenient to consumers. The basic appeal is the availability of a broad selection of goods under a single roof, at relatively low prices. Other advantages include ease of parking and frequently the convenience of shopping hours that extend into the evening of the day. And also supermarket have a very friendly customer service and good security services to local and tourists. They have a election payment system such as Credit card (VISA, Master and any other electronic card).

WORST SHOPPING EXPERIENCE EVER. 🥵 NOT A CUSTOMER FRIENDLY PLACE AT ALL. 👎🏼 The shop opens at 8:00am & they don’t TURN ON THE A/C until 12:00(noon). Don’t go to SANDAGIRI UNLESS YOU WANT TO SWEAT 😓 AND SUFFER LIKE HELL.. 😡 Also to make things even difficult for the shoppers, they had LOCKED THE ELEVATOR. Had a lot to shop, but unfortunately, had to cut short the shopping time due to the extreme heat. We hope they close this place and some other marketing company takes over and open an outlet here. We used to really like shopping here, but NOT ANYMORE. 👎🏼👎🏼👎🏼👎🏼👎🏼👎🏼

Poor selection and super high prices for some items that are imported - seems pointless! Things like Philadelphia cheese spread was over 4,000 rupees! A tourist trap for sure. Next door is alcohol off-licence for beer and wines. Handy location but not recommended due to limited selection and high prices!

Absolutely the best supermarket of Hikka. For sure. This is a two-story colossus with a large selection of all sorts of things for food and everyday household needs. Recently, I dug up absolutely beautiful slippers there. Yellow dream slippers. The worst and most annoying thing about this shop is need to pay at the exit every time. I spent a lot of money there. Do something about it! I'm getting poorer

This supermarket is quite unusual. Despite being touted as a primary destination for tourists, the product selection is quite limited. The process of entering is cumbersome, as visitors are treated with suspicion, reminiscent of being viewed as potential shoplifters. All belongings, from bags to helmets and even raincoats and umbrellas, must be deposited in lockers, each requiring keys. The security staff seems almost aggressive, particularly regarding helmets. The numerous employees seem more focused on surveillance than customer assistance, giving the impression that the supermarket's manager might have a background in a prison setting 😅. Regarding the products, I understand the limitations in assortment in Sri Lanka, but I've seen better variety elsewhere. Despite being the largest supermarket in Hikkaduwa, it unfortunately reflects poorly on the town. A change in management and improvements are desperately needed to elevate the experience and possibly boost revenue.

Friendly, super helpful and always smiling staff! Selection is getting more diverse along with more tourists. A lot of quality Sri Lankan produced items.

On entering the security guard will open the door another security guard will stand in your path and say bag and point to lockers very rude no customer service skills, a lot of empty shelves in fridge and freezer selection, at the till they don’t allow you to pack your bags untill they have scanned all the shopping the pack in plastic bags even though I say no thank you and show them I have my own bag again very rude girls on the tills, it’s convenient but would rather shop local or go a little further to cargills

Decent & well maintained supermarket. From the looks of items for sale, the shop's targeted customer base would be mostly foreigners. But each item has its value for the price. One can find items varying from cheaper bread to pricey spice, from kids toys to nice swimming goggles & much more. Not crowded at all. Friendly staff & easy parking too.

The shop is nice and clean, but not much choice, and found most goods didn't have price on display. Since my last visit 4yrs ago, found it has changed.

It’s supermarket, where you can buy almost everything. Cheese, beverage, some snacks, Whole Foods… it’s possible to pay via card here. Next to the shop, there is a Wine Store where you can buy alcohol.

The place is very good, and they have an ample space for shopping. It is right in front of the Citrus Hikkaduwa. They are selling lots of coconut-based food products. However, staff was not very friendly, and I could see that, they are not very efficient also.

Very bad service. Staff is very rude. prices are overly higher than other places also I noticed some of them has lesser amount inside containers than when you buy from other supermarkets. Does not recommend.

Good small supermarket. You can find everything as common groceries in Sri Lanka, but also they offer juices and the for a reasonable price and good, of course. Better than other places.

Biggest supermarket in Hikkaduwa. Staff continue to be excellent especially the ladies on the tills who always seem cheerful and helpful. Check pricing as this supermarket is predominantly aimed at tourists so priced appropriately. Right next to a liquor shop if you need one.
