Enjoyed our meal at Mama's. Ordered a beef burger and a chicken soup wich were quite nice. Also my Daiquiri was very delicious 😋. Personnel is super friendly and very understanding. The view from the terrace is absolutely picturesque. They also have some perfomance at night (disco/ live music). Absolutely recommend 👌

We went to this place to take shelter from the terrible rain. In the restaurant they offered us towels because we were soaked to the skin. The view from the restaurant is amazing, especially during a storm. We didn't plan to order food, but since it was raining, we ordered it to pass the time. The food was good, the portions were huge, the price was reasonable. the staff is very friendly and tries to please the client. I recommend visiting, at least to enjoy the view and have a good time.

Nice cozy beachside vibe with tasty fresh seafood. Prices are very reasonable and the service is attentive. The ocean is just steps away, if you want a quick swing on the tire.

Good place to have a meal, especially the location by the beach. We ordered fish and chicken curry, it was good. I liked their passion fruit juice. The staff very friendly.

I had there Mamas special, a huge portion that is easily enough for 2 people ... it was everything on it.... Vegetables, rice, meat, shrimp... super tasty 👍🏻

Slow Impersonal Service- Average Meal Five of us, three adults and two kids, had lunch at Hikkaduwa Mama’s Restaurant. The restaurant is in between the main Galle Road and the beach. We parked by the road as there is no specific allocated parking. The restaurant faces the beautiful blue sea and the beach - a beautiful setting for a meal! After we were seated, we were handed over the menu. We ordered our drinks. There were no drinks available for diabetics. I enjoyed a chilled beer while three others had cocktails. It took 15 minutes before our food arrived on the table. The kids agreed that their meal of fish fingers and burgers were tasty. The spring rolls and fried rice too was ok. The staff were busy and impersonal. Average Dining Experience!

Great place to hangout at Hikkaduwa for a dinner. On Sundays they have music band playing live music. Low light beachfront with candles lit on the desk is an amazing experience. The sea breeze is coming from one side. They have a great collection of sea food dishes. Beer is available. You can pay via cards. There is plenty of tables to sit. But parking is very limited. Food was delicious.

Worst coleslaw ever, no fresh fish (although you’re near the sea), disgusting Long Island Ice Tea. Don’t go here! You will regret & pay too much.

The food was tasty and fresh, best place for watching sunset, but we asked if we could pay by card and they said yes but after we got the check (17.000 rupees) they said it was not working all day so we had to take a tuk-tuk and go to an ATM.

We had dinner last night after seeing a YouTube review of the restaurant. The location was great unfortunately too cloudy for a nice sunset. We had the prawn starter and seafood yellow curry which came out at the same time. The food was good staff very friendly. The wine was overpriced 3 times more than at wine shop. The most disappointing thing was the toilets, no lights, running water all over the floor and smelled terrible.

Great atmosphere with live music, a beautiful view over the ocean, and a very cute interior design. Food is good but for the price could be a little better and more. We had long waiting times with our waiter but it seemed like other tables were luckier.

We had just a short stop for a lunch and it was good. Seafood was fresh. Tea was strong and tasty. Not a Micheline stars type of food but nice place to eat.

Food was expensive for the portion. My friends fish was tough, chewy, and overfried. Our seafood platter was meh. Only go on live band nights for a drink and boogie but eat somewhere else first.

The best seafood in Hikkaduwa! This is the place where order full crabs and jambo prawns. Always fresh and delicious.

We went there and bought the cheapest fried rice on the menu (no.31) and it tasted very good. The portion is medium sized, well enough to fill a single person’s stomach. We also bought the Nutella Freak Shake which was nice but I’ve had better milkshakes for lower prices. Still I would recommend going to the place and I will also return to try the more expensive options.

I went with few of my friends. The location is nice and the staff is friendly. Food is very tasty and you can ask for small customization as well. Overall, I will definitely visit, if I am in Hikkaduwa.

Friendly staff, speedy service and fresh, delicious food. Local and Western cuisine so everyone in our large group was happy! The live music the night we went was unexpectedly excellent. Good cocktails and Exotic juices. Reasonable prices too!

Not many places that you can get a cheap meal in such a beautiful restaurant. it’s more expensive than surrounding restaurants, but you get such a beautiful location and setting
