As soon as I started to write this review, I suddenly found myself going back to Tallala and just wanting to escape back into perfection because that is what the experience at Handun Villas is all about. Forget dull mornings at Handun Villas as you are woken by the beautiful sound of peacocks and other animals as well. As much as you want to sleep in because of the absolutely tranquil environment, you really can't because you are served the most yummiest Sri Lankan food ever and that just makes you jump out of your cosy bed. And you could never be bored, because the staff goes out of their way to make sure you are always in a state of ultimate bliss. The general manager Heshan is an all rounder and he really made us not want to leave. Although I cannot remember the other staff members names, they all had something beautiful about them and they really showed us that the sky is the limit when it comes to hospitality at Handun Villas. You know you are blessed in your life when you get to lie on a hammock while a majestic peacock performs a mating dance in front of you, you have acres and acres of coconut estate to walk amongst and when you want to have a change of scenery, the beach is right across which is absolutely mesmerising. Thank you team Handun Villas! You gave us an experience that not even the best hotels in Colombo can achieve and our parents said this was the best place we ever took them to! Kudos to us and kudos to the team at Handun Villas ❤️❤️❤️ we will be back, for longer! 10/10 for everything 🙂

I had the pleasure of staying in this amazing villa during my last holiday in December 2022. Excellent friendly staff that are fully attuned to your needs, great home cooked food and the most beautiful sorrounding that give you the true “down south” experience of lovely Sri Lanka. Pristine beaches make the experience even more blissful. Highly recommending this place for a traveller who’s looking for an authentic beach villa experience with all the luxuries added as well

Had a wonderful family getaway. Service was excellent and the property was very beautiful and quite. Rooms were spacious. Food was outstanding. We were served with refreshing king coconut throughout the stay. Keep us the good standards. See u all soon.

The location is amazing, really. Deeply immersed in the green, coconut trees, peaceful environment and conveniently positioned 8 Kms away from Harikityia (or blue) beach. There is a nice swimming pool, even though I am not sure the water pump ever worked, as there was no water coming out of the submersed nozzles. The service needs to be improved, breakfast is boring, with no variations in 6 days and no buffet. The personnel is very keen to help, but clearly is not from a hospitality background. We tried the dinner just one night, but I would not recommend it, as the choice is pretty poor: super overcooked sort of "fish", extremely spicy hot, with fried rice on a side. That's it. It is a good place if you have no expectations of dreaming big
