It's a rare church in that it's mostly made of wood. The outside is far more interesting than the inside. Seeing the inside will cost you a 2 EUR donation.

Very nice church with incredible architecture, history, and culture. Fortunately I can understand some German, but for foreigners, there is no English information or staff whatsoever.

Very beautiful church. The unique thing about this church that's it is made of wood. If you came here you should definitely go inside. The enter price is 2 euro, which is really affordable. Inside it's beautiful as well. Just sit in the church for a while, it's a very peaceful place

Absolutely gorgeous and very interesting history of this church. Entry is 2€ - if you like the organ you can book a tour as well. In case the main gate is closed walk up and around to the right to find the entrance. There is parking available close by.

Very worth visiting. A well made and preserved wooden church. Competent lady at the entrance, able to tell a few stories about the history and wooden churches in general.

This little church is seriously stunning! If you're into checking out the impressive woodworking skills that showcase the local architectural style, you're in for a treat. The folks running the place might not have been the friendliest, but we still had a good time during our quick visit.

Very impressive new stave church. A good substitute if you don’t have the opportunity to see the real thing in Norway.

Look like fairytale church covered in snow.We had visited in late Feb 23 after heavy snowfall and it looked amazing..Good places to hike and walk nearby.

Really beautiful church, with many details in the wood panels inside. There's an audio description that you can open with your smartphone and listen about the place history.

It looks better outside then inside. Nothing special, but the outer views may be beautiful depending on the weather. Otherwise, if you're not religious or if you have something else to do, just skip it. There are already quite a lot of great photos of this church.
