The cafe is located off the main roads so it is quite isolated. there is plenty of parking around though. They are quite big and act both as a cafe and a grocer, selling a few interesting items such as Foxton sodas. I did stop by to have breakfast. There are plenty of tables inside and out. The inside area is separated into two, where the one further back looks to be more like a family room and a bit more casual. I ordered the Humbug grill and a hot chocolate from the menu but they also did have cabinet food. The hot chocolate was nice and did come with marshmallows. The grill was decently sized and had a selection of different items. I quite liked the schnitzel since it was quite different to other grills. The salsa and the beans were quite interesting and nice too. It is quite an interesting cafe hidden off the beaten path.

Came here for lunch, I got omelet with toast and orange juice. I felt the omelette lacked flavor so I used quite bit of salt & pepper on it. My partner ordered mushrooms, toast & chorizo sausages, which I got food envy for as his looked and tasted yummy. (Sorry I only took pic of my food).

Finally a cafe that actually cooks the fries well done when asked to cook them well done. So many cafes just don’t bother and give you undercooked fries! Thanks Humbug!

Had the bagel with salmon and cream cheese, had to assemble the meal myself and the bagel was hardly toasted and stodgy, my partner had the humbug grill which he’s had before but this time it was presented so poorly, overcooked Eggs and yucky baked beans, they were sweet and tangy just very odd. My mother in law ordered a simple poached eggs on toast with a side of baked beans, once again over cooked eggs they were also misshapen, and the beans once again were tart and odd. maybe undercooked? The service however was good and the food came out quickly, such a shame to see the humbug fall from grace.

I came here for the first time with friends today. And I got to say that the staff are welcoming, friendly and are willing to help when needed. The food is very tasty I got the beef smoked cheese caramelized onion burger with chips and a very good iced coffee. The place itself is clean tidy and spacious and has a really good vibe about it. I would highly recommend this place! And I'll definitely be back! :)

Walked here after visiting the new vintage shop up the road. Definitely the Best Vegan brunch I have had so far in my life. If you are out west to visit your aunty or need to take your tinder date out somewhere for the morning after, this is the place. The smoothie was engulfed in seconds as it was so good. The staff were patient and showed a helpful friendly personality. The roast potatos were crispy, saurkraut was on point, the tofu scrambled egg was amazing on the toast, the hummus had refreshing seeds on it which gave this dish alot of flavour. My friend had the salmon egg benedict which she said was out fn standing. We will definitely be coming back here again, I cant wait to try the rest of the vegan vegetarian options here.

Humbug is very 'rustic' in atmosphere. But regardless of location, limited parking and everything else, the food and coffee are hard to beat. If you don't mind wooden seating, wooden tables etc, then drop in and enjoy an awesome breakfast, lunch or grab something from the display cabinet.

A popular local Glen Eden Cafe. The menu is varied with many options. The food was well presented and delicious and perfect portion size. The staff seemed a bit "lost", constantly wandering around the Cafe with coffee looking for who ordered it and we had to remind them of a couple of items we ordered. Overall, not a bad experience.

Just had lunch Here. It is an OK restaurant. The Chinese lady is ok. No-one welcomed us and when we found a table to sit down she came to clean it up. Just when we sat down she asked what we wanted to order. She did not even tell us about their special steak and chips which l noticed after we have finished our food. She was sjust quick to get us to order some food. .the food is pretty much average. The place could do with floor cleaning. Lobe the lay out of the two sitting places and how they have kids play corner. Otherwise 2 stars from me .

Very popular cafe. Foods nice. Any issues dealt with quickly and without a fuss. Only thing we struggled with, was how loud it is there. Next time will try outside, weather permitting.

It was such a cosy corner despite it not looking very modern and the food tasted so fresh and good with the staff being so sweet and helpful. We got the mince lamb, the moccachino bowl and french toast (sweet) both were nice big portions for the price and the savoury warm mince paired well with the sourdough bread and was great this cold day. The french toast was a tad bit too sweet fore but nonetheless delicious and moccachino was perfect and had enough caffeine to last me days. Do give it a visit.

Been here many times and really surprised I didn’t drop a review for it already. Previously I ordered the big breakfast, salmon bagel and burgers. All are delicious! This time I tried something sugary and sweet baby Jesus this was the best French toast I’ve ever had. The butterscotch sauce is delightful and the toast is not dry like some French toasts can be. It’s accompanied with berry and a cream with which I’m not familiar. Also had a hot chocolate with it and that hit the spot! Excellent balance of froth and chocolates taste. A great winter treat. The staff, as always were very friendly and the service was quick despite how busy they were. This place is always a safe bet for food. If you haven’t tried it yet, where have you been all this time?!

Had Eggs Benedict with bacon on Turkish bread. It was very tasty but eggs felt a little smothered in the sauce (for my liking) and one of the breads was the crust which made it harder to cut through. However, for me, the star of the show was the side order of crispy potatoes. Sublime. A good cup of coffee to round it off made it a very enjoyable brunch overall. Efficient friendly service with a nice vibe

I've been here three times in the last month and every time there's been an issue. Drastically overcharging for an iced coffee ($10 for a latte cup is insane), today's coffee was so burnt and terrible it was un drinkable, the food was rubbery and tasteless and half the mushrooms had to be pulled out as they were inedible. Not sure how this place is so busy considering the below average food and coffee. We'll be finding a new regular spot.

Good atmosphere and breakfast food. The loaded fries were very loaded and delicious. Staff were accommodating on a busy morning. Coffee had a nice flavour, just wish they had some latte art!

I got the crumbed chicken burger and it was bland and dry. The banana smoothie was good but I will no be coming back I strongly recommend not to go here! All of the food and drinks were over priced and were not up to the 32 dollars I spent which was basically like putting money down the drain.

Sat outside and menus were given and order taken without having to go in. The food was all delicious as were the drinks. Berry pancakes for the 5 year old, loaded chips were the best!

😠 Tonight my family and I went and the food was extremely bland. It was very fast which was great but don’t go for speed over flavour, it’s never worth it. I’m giving a 1 star based off of my meal alone. I ordered the brisket pizza pocket. And I swear this ain’t brisket. It tasted like chicken, looke...

😠 On Saturday 18th March, I ordered 2x Large Pizza’s & 2x Sides. This 1-Star review is focusing on the 2x sides: 1x Slingshot Fries "Not Spicy" (Peri Peri sauce to be added on the side but everything else as it is) + 1x Paneer Bites with Butter Chicken sauce swizzled on top which I paid extra for.
