we have been twice now, both times the food was not good. Service is always great, staff is attentive and kind, the beer was great. I really wanted to like it, which is why we gave a second chance. Might need a new cook or cook with experience. Again staff is great but wont return for dinner, so much history could be a great place!

Everything was delicious and the service was perfect. Super clean and safe environment. The old west decor will keep you entertained in between your short wait for food and drink. The "Crab Melt" was uniquely different and delicious!! And the drys are amazing. My wife said it's the best fish fry shes had in the area... after shes already had 3 others from other places.(not in the same day of course🤦‍♂️🤷‍♂️😁) Our 4 and 6 year old loved the food and decor as well. Definitely a fun place for a good family meal! Like and follow to get all our updates!! 2021 will be busy!! Safe adventures to you🙏🤟

1st time customer. I will start with the pros. Good portions and price. The service was friendly and they had our food ready to pick up at the time they said. --- Now for the cons. I'm really sorry, but the fish had ZERO flavor. I mean not even salt. It was also really overcooked and pretty greasy. The Mac salad also lacked flavor but was better than the fish. The coleslaw was actually not bad. I also ordered the clam strips. Now these are intended to be chewy, but they were like chewing on a shoe lace wrapped with a rubber band, and way too overcooked, they almost seemed microwaved. The 3 stars that I did give are only for the friendly service, and prices. The biggest disappointment though, was the very bland overcooked fish fry. I'll try again, incase it was an off day.

Fabulous! Walking into this time capsule of a Hotel and Restaurant was quite interesting! Possibly haunted or still having good "Spirits' about is always nice! Cheers to the good food, service and atmosphere! Definitely Kimmy-Sue Tested and Approved 💋🇺🇲 Thanks for keeping this historic place alive!

Great food, great service. Interesting decor gives this place an older, charming ambience. We had the haddock sandwich and soups and everything was delicious.

Food was frozen nothing seemed on site fresh. Ordered pretzel as an app came out after entrees and frozen in middle. Bar stores bottled beer in cooler on floor not normal for any place. As we left staff was inside building with lit cigarette in hand. Waitress seemed nice but but was busy and person helping her was the hostess.

It was our first time there and we were pleasantly surprised. The food and drinks were good and the waitress was pleasant

This is such a neat place! Very historical - you can feel it. The atmosphere was very "homey". The food was excellent.

A touch of the old with modern American dishes. You actually dine in an old Stage Coach stop. Full bar, great wings and all the popcorn you want. What could be better.

The staff is always polite, friendly, and attentive! Everything on the menu is amazing, especially the French onion soup!! Prices are very reasonable and the atmosphere is quaint and comfortable.

I've never had a bad meal here. Fantastic fish fry and the Beef on Wick is the best I've had anywhere. The Reuben, the soups everything is wonderful. Service is great and food comes out quick even on a Friday when they are packed.

Great service and delicious food. I ordered the crab stuffed cajun haddock which was super delicious. My only complaint is that the meal only came with one side which I chose coleslaw. I think for the price paid which was $18 it would be a better value to come with 2 sides.

Very good and diverse food selection. Not the best I have ever had, but not bad at all. Atmosphere is typical tavern restaurant although really restaurant dominate. Ok beer selection, poor wine options, margaritas served in a rock glass. But all in all I would not hesitate to go there again as long as it was convenient.

Food was great however the service was somewhat slow 🦥 but overall good. Better than most places and no stomach ache after consuming the entire plate that's a bonus.

The food was fabulous! Thankfully this place is like 5 minutes from my house. It's a perfect place to stop for lunch and a drink during a busy day of running errands.

Probably one of the worst places I've ever been I've always occasionally drove by this place and wondered how good the fish fry was.... Me and my girlfriend walked in we're in our twenties very small and crowded inside I got calamari which was overcooked and very tough the sauce was also the discussing it tasted like it came out of a can we both got beer-battered fish fries but the problem was the fish was not beer battered at all it was breaded and it was also Frozen worst tartar sauce ever worst Coleslaw Ever we didn't say anything negative to the waitress we just felt like it was best to pay and leave... It's always a bad sign in a restaurant when all the patrons are 80 years old. All the decor was just random junk that was collected throughout the years it looks like somebody cleaned out their attic and put stuff around the restaurant to decorate I will never ever ever ever be back to this place!!! 0 out of 10

Old time, literally and figuratively. The hotel is dated back to 1880’s with related decor and theme built into it. While the food is more modern, they also have basic fare that is reminiscent of simpler times. Pricing is fair and varies with the menu. A little something for everyone, whether bar food, a prime steak, seafood and one of the few places to get a fish fry, anytime.

Waited TWO hours beginning to end. Had to wait to be sat - 10 minutes turned into half an hour. We sat and said we were ready to order and the waitress said oh hold on. Came back 10 minutes later. Food took forever, was good though. Took half an hour at least to pay the bill. I understand everywhere is short staffed right now, but this place just doesn’t give af. The wait staff kept saying sorry I forgot about you, haha. Went to finally leave and saw the waitress and three kitchen staff smoking outside.

The best fish fry I've ever had!!! The beer battered doesn't have a thick coating. They're quick & very courteous!! I highly recommend this restaurant!

There was some nice things about our experience at Sawyer Creek Hotel. We were allowed to have my daughter’s very small dog with us. Atmosphere was comfortable. Food was tasty. That being said I don’t think we’d go back. We were disappointed that the appetizer of our choice was out , still no biggie . The service was lacking. We were about to get up and leave when the server finally came to our table. We waited over 15 mins just to be greeted and offered drinks. She never said sorry about the wait , she never told us the specials or told us her name and she never checked on us after serving us our meal. We had to flag her down for refills and another waitress noticed we were obviously done eating and offered us doggie bags and got our check for us. Not the worst service but there is a lot of room for improvement.

I came here for lunch and got the fish fry with mashed potatoes and gravy. It comes with a side of slaw. It was absolutely delicious and went great with a cold glass of blue moon. It's a resturaunt that a lot of cars pass on a daily. I recommend you stop one of these days.

Food was ah-mazing. Ordered Buffalo Chicken Wrap and an order of Med Wings to go. This place will not disappoint. Service was great, too.

I went to Sawyer Creek for a late dinner with a group and though opinions varied amongst the party (most tilting towards terrible to okay), I enjoyed the wings that I ordered. Our server recommended them as one of her favorite things on the menu and they did not disappoint. I ordered them medium and crispy and they came out perfectly. **Others felt the food was bland in taste and did not look visually appealing** In terms of the quality of service it was somewhat disappointing though. We stated at the beginning of the dining experience that we would all be separate checks (it was five of us) and were told no problem and that it would be sorted out at the end. This was not the case and it led to a long delay as our server had to go back and individually hand write and take each of our cards one at a time to close our checks. It was very frustrating and added an additional 15 minutes or so to a dining experience we were all ready to leave.

Cosy restaurant in a little historic hotel. There's a lively bar-side and a two room dining area. Comfort food, every day fish fry, and if you are lucky fresh made potato skins special.

Was a horrible meal, was left standing waiting for a hostess, finally a 25 min wait. I ordered the Sausage Cacitore, what a mistake. Plate full of tasteless over cooked noodles swamped in water. The old place is great, but if your serving pasta drowned to tastelessness, maybe level the tables so I'm not forced to stop a steady stream of pasta water running over my dish. I was dissatisfied as it's been a few years. I remember it being a good place. I won't be back. The stuffed mushrooms were also soggy, tasteless and not cooked well

Clams casino are a must! Absolutely the best I've had. Seafood stuffed banana peppers also excellent. Great burgers. Fun atmosphere and nice service.
