I lived here two years and the first year was good: reasonably quiet, decent grounds, good price. The second year I had many issues: mice on the first floor, coyotes, multiple serious domestic violence issues (I had to evacuate my building for 4 hours), bad smoke smells, loud neighbors, poor response to maintenance requests, poor concern for residents from the office staff, etc. I ultimately decided to move somewhere else and I am much happier!

Poor management and don’t get me started with the maintenance staff. Our balcony wood is all untreated lumber that after 20+ years is splintering and littered with nails that don’t stay down. The railing was so loose it felt I could push it off. Sent a maintenance request. What did they do. Just nail about 20 nails to try to bandaid it together. The rubber/plastic lining at our door was broken/ cracked. Submitted a ticket. They came and said they can’t fix it so they put red duck tape on it. Smh pay way too much to have this kind of service. Also they NEVER answer their phones. Like ever. I’ve called to no answer and then walked down to the office to only find five people just typing on their computers. Pass on this place. Nice gym and pools and location. Staff and management lacking big time for the price. Also landscaping is pretty cheaply done for being luxury apartments. Tons of dead grass areas, giant old bushes that need trimmed and garden areas that look like the last time they got wood chips was in the 80s.

It wasn’t the best experience living here honestly. There’s been tons of small issues and some bigger issues. For example, we’ve lived here for 4 years and had to evacuate the building 5+ times for domestic violence (2 times the same week), our sprinklers randomly going off and flooding the apartment, and fire alarms constantly going off which isn’t necessarily managements fault. I’ve had to stop ordering packages here because my packages have gotten stolen so many times. No matter how many times we clean and take apart our kitchen sink the water smells like mold. We buy water bottles because we were so nervous to use the sink water even with the purifier. The courtyard 9/10 times smells like gas and gives you a headache, there are water stains on our ceilings from the neighbors upstairs flooding their bathtub, our linen closet door is broken and won’t close unless you use all the power you have, the microwave handle has fallen off 2 times now which I didn’t even think was possible, the screen door breaks off and doesn’t even lock anymore (which has been like that since we moved in). The amenities aren’t terrible, the gym is good, the pool is good and these apartments are located in a nice area with a lot of stuff around. I think the apartments are just old and need lots of renovations. For paying $1600 for 650sq ft it’s not that bad, I just think there are better options.

Throughout the last 20 years, it is safe to say that I have experienced my fair share of apartments. From Washington DC, Virginia, and across the Chicagoland area. None of which have exceeded my expectations, and none have I ever stayed at for longer than a single lease term. TGM Danada is the exception to my past experiences. Their highly professional and courteous staff go above and beyond to make sure they provide you with incredible customer service. Their leasing manager in particular, Charlene, excels in every aspect of the leasing process, and she, and the entire staff, truly make TGM Danada feel like a home I have not had in more than 20 years. I am currently in my second lease term and look forward to many more. Thank you so much to TGM Danada, Charlene, and the entire leasing and maintenance staff for a place that I am happy to come home to daily.

Not sure why people are leaving bad reviews… the staff is very professional and nice. Maintenance has never given me a problem. It’s an apartment. Buy a house if you’re going to complain and you’ll see how much more work it is. I worked in maintenance for a diffent company years ago. Everyone who complains about no heat, no AC, mice lawn care etc…. If this happened in your home it would take MUCH longer for it to get taken care of. It’s apartment living. Insert eye roll here.

Over the past two decades, I’ve had my fair share of adventures in apartment living, spanning from the busy streets of Washington DC and the charming towns of Virginia, to the bustling neighborhoods of the Chicagoland area. Yet, it was not until I discovered Charlene’s building that I truly felt I had found a place worth sticking around for longer than the duration of a standard lease. Charlene’s apartment complex stands as a testament to what exceptional living should be like, embodying a level of excellence and customer care that is truly unrivaled. The staff’s commitment to professionalism and courtesy shines brightly, creating an atmosphere that is both welcoming and supportive. What sets this place apart, however, is not just the high standard of service, but the people who deliver it. Charlene, the leasing manager, is nothing short of phenomenal. Her expertise in navigating the leasing process is unparalleled, and her genuine care for the residents is evident in everything she does. She, along with her dedicated team, have transformed this building into more than just a residence—it’s a community, a sanctuary, and a place I am proud to call home. Now well into my second lease term, I find myself reflecting on the serendipity of finding such a gem in the heart of the city. I am immensely grateful to Charlene, and the entire leasing and maintenance team, for creating a space that not only meets, but far exceeds my expectations. This is not just an apartment building; it is a home, a haven, and a testament to what exceptional living should be. Thank you, from the bottom of my heart, for giving me a place I am excited to return to each and every day.

TGM has had many community events during the 2 years we've lived here. They range from food trucks, Christmas parties at local restaurants, to Bingo night and most recently Trivia night. Trivia night was fantastic. The staff did a great job preparing and we had a blast. That's how you build community. Too bad more residents don't take advantage of these community events.
