This place is so nice and welcoming. We were just having a leisurely day and in our slum clothes and were a little nervous to visit because we assumed we would be underdressed but despite it being so nice outside and in the service there is so so sweet. They directed us toward a really good wine, one of my new favorites. They didn't have lunch at the time so we actually came back the next day with some of our friends and sat on the porch and ate lunch and some desserts and it was TOO DIE FOR. So good. I'm local and this is a Wheeling hidden gem.

This place is excellent! The pastries, quiche, and coffee were all super tasty, on par with bakeries and cafes in much bigger cities. The building is a historic mansion and has so much charm. I was very impressed by this spot. Would definitely recommend a trip to Wheeling for this place.

We only came for desserts on this particular day but can't wait to return for the all the other goodies we spotted. Huge wine and cheese selection available. Fresh, handmade desserts crafted by people with a serious talent and love of food and art. They also had many pastas, including some fresh in the case near the desserts. All of this placed in a beautifully aged but cared for mansion. Love the stained glass. Everyone was friendly and provided great service.

Before our trip to Wheeling yesterday, I did a quick Google search to find a bakery and saw a listing for Good Mansion Wines. It sounded cool, so we added it as a stop for our visit. Imagine my surprise when we pulled up and there was a literal red carpet stretched out from the building! The inside of the house (yes, it's inside a house) is exquisite, very classy and inviting. When you first walk in, you're greeted immediately with a very large wine selection. If you keep moving toward the back of the building, you'll find an amazing cheese selection. They also sell condiments & jarred/tinned items like jams, jellies, peppers, anchovies, mustards, etc. Beyond that, a small yet might bakery offers delicious desserts, homemade bread (that they use to make sandwiches) and fresh pasta. There are numerous imported items also available for purchase. Good Mansion Wines is an absolute must as a place to stop if you're visiting Wheeling. We will definitely be back!

This place has my highest recommendation. The oven baked bread is the best European style bread I have found in the states. Sandwiches are hand crafted with aged meats and cheeses. The seasoned wine selection is matched with experienced staff. Dom is constantly looking for new imports and recipes. Worth a visit every time you are passing through Wheeling.

Stopped while in town and was amazed at this absolutely beautiful shoppe. This historic mansion was gorgeous. Took home some wine and picked up a couple pepperoni croissant rolls for lunch by the river.

Traveling and found this gem right off the highway. Stopped in for an amazing freshly made sandwich and the most amazing individual serving chocolate dessert. Also found two nice bottles of wine. Ate lunch on their breezy glam front porch! It’s a must to stop by this beautiful mansion!

We drove over an hour just to eat. We tried two of the sandwiches on French baguettes and 3 different pastries. Everything was delicious. We purchased some meat and cheese from the deli and house made sausage. We didn't get a chance to look at or sample wines but will do so on a future visit.

Perfect little gem! This place is beautiful inside and out and has SO much to offer. Wines, cheeses, breads, olive oils, imported food gifts…Everything is so unique and high quality. Don’t skip the fresh macarons-they are divine. Can’t wait to come back!

First visit, delicious sandwiches, cappuccino, and pastries. Met owner and ate on the beautiful landing with 3 stained glass windows. So much more to explore with the wines, pastas, and other food items. But I can't stop thinking about having lunch there again!

Since pandemic, we had numerous long road trips between Indiana and New Jersey, we were delighted to find this place! The minute we walked into the kitchen, we fallen in love with this place, felt like we were in a fine French pastry shop in Montreal or Paris. It is so nice to sit on the porch, have lunch, desserts and coffee. Will stop in whenever we pass through Wheeling.

Stopped on the way back to Columbus, OH. So happy we did! The place was so cool, service was great, just wish I was closer so I could go again soon. Oh also the sandwiches and cannolis are amazing, must try them!

Very unique place in Wheeling! So many different wines to select from with a great deli and bakery! There is also so many other items like preserves, syrup and international foods. I got a coffee and the Swiss brioche, so good!

Great selection of imported items. The cheese selection is unreal. Beautiful pre-made baskets for gift giving. Excellent bakery and sandwiches.

I’m not reviewing Good Mansion Wines as a wine shop as I’ve never gotten wine here. The selection looks wonderful but I come here for the pastries! The desserts are incredible and the pizza is the best In Wheeling, I wish they made pizza everyday. Stop in for lunch and leave with some sweets!

This place was a gorgeous gem! They have actual French chef's and the food reflects this fact. There literally isn't anything I wouldn't recommend. Good Mansion Wines not only has a massive selection of great wines, but an amazing grocery, deli, and bakery selection. If you go any where in Wheeling, go here.

Our first time there. Housed in a beautiful Victorian mansion we were given the opportunity to view unchanged the beauty and grace of a bygone era. We ordered sandwiches that were incredibly tasteful. You knew the contents were the freshest and of best quality. Especially the bread, which was crisp and crunchy. We ended up buying sandwiches, desserts, pastas and chocolates. We met he owner and staff and they could not have been more gracious and welcoming. We will be back.
