Buyer beware they don't give you carnitas which is pulled pork instead they give you tripe. Which is disgusting. Also, if you ask for a chicken burrito you don't get shredded chicken it's more like ground chicken. It's false advertising!! It's very low-quality meat. (updated )I called to confirm that it's pork intestine and spoke to a lady. She said that it is pork intestine and that they know that they put that in the burrito. I asked her why don't they advertised that it's pork intestine because this was the first time I ordered and didn't know that it was made with pork intestine and she said because it's unnecessary and they don't have to disclose that information. What world is she living in?!! She also said, I should already know that, that's how they make it. She didn't care that we spent 50 dollars on burritos. We ended up throwing away. She was very nasty and unprofessional. Never going back!! They deserve 0 Stars!!

The best Mexican restaurant. Take away is preferred.

I highly recommend the Quesocarne (picture included). It has every type of meat you want on it and the guacamole, spices and lime make all the flavors play perfectly with each other. The crunchiness of the meat is a wonderful and unexpected bonus to this dish. The place was quant and the staff were nice and attentive. Definitely stop by if you’re in the area, you will be happy that you did.

Waited about 20 min for 3 tacos and a quesadilla. Cashier wasn’t friendly at all. Ridiculous how I asked for 3 sauces and said can only get 1 per order... I’ve had many tacos in my life both in Mexico, LA and NY and honestly these tacos were one of the worst I’ve had. Al pastor tacos were dry and the tortillas were sooo greasy. The carnitas tasted old and consisted of fat and bone. Compared to other tacos they are cheap but not worth the price if they are not good. Will not come back.

Tacos were beyond my expectations; I usually order 3 tacos & feel satisfied, but here I ended up ordering 3 more (total of 6). Salsas were very tasty; the side of guacamole had a kick of spice, which tasted great. The bebidas frescas were also on point. Small restaurant/deli, but it has all I need. They have an automatic sanitizer foam on the entrance, place looks and feels clean. The young lady who took our order was very friendly. I paid with my credit card (contact less machine n no extra fees). I will definitely go back. I do recommend it!

Real authentic Latin American food, I got the tacos. They were incredible, simple yet delicious. Can't wait to go back to try the other food. Not really a sit down joint, more of a bodega with a bar to sit at, but don't let that fool you. Worth the visit for sure.

My husband placed an order for 2 carne asada burritos and 2 chicken tacos . My husband paid $48 and I was like there’s no way it’s that much money . My husband went back in and got the receipt . This guy added 3 extra tacos onto our order and then told my husband that he ordered 5 and even repeated it back to him my husband said yes you said 2 tacos . Now on there menu there tacos to an order is 4 !! So he added an extra taco . So instead of paying $34 plus tax we got charged $15 dollars extra . The worker was very rude . Luckily I wasn’t in the car with my husband or I would have returned all the food . Ridiculous. Do better . Service here use to be amazing . I loved coming here . Now after that interaction I will not come here again . Change the attitude and be nicer to your customers . Oh and also he tried to charge my husband for salsa verde $1.25 extra . ese hombre esta loco. Nunca volveré.

Authentic food where mostly Mexicans congregate to get food not typically available in most Mexican restaurants like tacos de lengua and tripe. The food is very fresh and the place is packed and busy. Delicious food and really yummy horchata.

I didn't get what I ordered. I asked for two boxes of 5 tacos, with the combination of fish, spit roasted pork, tongue, beef head. When I open it, I found no fish, and the pork is actually intestine(which tastes very bad and I have to throw away).

Taco is super authentic based on all the Mex I had in the past. The Carnitas is made home style, with many different parts of the animal. I loved it, but someone who expect carnitas to exclusively come from pork shoulder will be surprised by the texture. I am happy with my experience, and will be happy to go again if visiting the area.

Easily one of the better tacos places I’ve had in NY so far. Great service, they’re pastor and steak was awesome. Wash it down with their horchata and some flan. Would recommend this place to anyone.

Absolutely disgusting! Prep and missing ingredients that are listed! I asked for green sauce and they packed red, meat was dry and tastless. And the corn came submerged in water.. 🤢 waste of money!

Great taco spot! We moved from Phoenix to New York last January and we’re on the hunt for some authentic Mexican food. Look no further than taqueria la frontera! Everything we have tried here is amazingly delicious and authentic!

Their food is always delicious! Especially their Choriquesos, super-sized tacos filled with chorizo, guacamole, lime and onions (photo). There's more! The staff is friendly and so nice, I couldn't pick up my food one night cause of car trouble and they generously delivered the food to my place even though it was well below the delivery minimum. Support local business!!!

The tacos here changed my life. This is without a doubt the best taco place I've ever been to. These tacos taught me how to love again. I had a real mouth-gasm, which I always thought was just a joke and not actually possible. Thank you for showing me what true flavor is in my life.

I come for lunch a couple of times a month. They are quick, courteous, and inexpensive. I'm obsessed with their chicken torta so that's what I order when I come. Again, only twice a month to watch my weight 😊

One of my favorite places to eat ever. Their food is always on point and very consistent. I get take out from here at least twice a month, if not more. My favorite are the suadero burrito and tacos 🤤. The birria tacos offered only on the weekends are also amazing, wish they were available the whole week. Have tried many Mexican places and this one always takes the win. I tell everyone about this place. So delicious, cannot recommend it more.

It can have 5 stars but still needs some help. The food is good. Usually, you have to wait 20 minutes for rushing hours, and it is busy at any moment, depending on the day tacos are the best option to eat here, but I even call to order a pick-up and my family drives all the way this taqueria to have the best tacos.

The burritos and tacos are pretty good. The only thing I’m not the biggest fan of is their rice and horchata. But whenever I do eat from this place I enjoy it.

This place is fantastic, I was hesitant to leave a review because they are so authentic and loyal to their Mex culinary roots and I hope they stay this way even when they grow bigger. Anything you eat here is gonna be good, my favorites are the Queso Fundido con Carne and the Enchiladas. I also love the guava cake (when it’s available). It’s a simple whole in the wall with character and tasty food. Only one table outside and a few stools inside too. Lots of to go but if you can, eat there and enjoy the Mex music and the atmosphere.
