I went to this cafe to order something to go and the staff greeted me quickly and very friendly. The food was packaged well for travel. There was plenty of tables situated apart where people were not crammed up against each other. Is was a very comfortable atmosphere; my next visit to this area I will definitely sit inside while I dine. Everything was seasoned well and tasted very good.

This place is a must go when you are near. The food is always excellent, I have never had a bad meal. I recommend getting there earlier because the place can fill up fast during peak times. Try the chicken fried steak and the hamburger steak, you will not regret it. They also have some of the best looking pies, which are all made fresh.

Staff was friendly and efficient. Chicken fried steak was something I have never seen before! It had some kind of breading like tampura or something. Looked big until you cut it and discover it’s 75% breading. They also bake the bacon which makes it like rubber. I may be a little judgmental being I’m a restaurant owner so try it for yourself, Nowadays there’s so many transplants you get different styles and tastes from all over the country. Definitely not Texas style food.

Small Cafe with BIG taste! Great experience with the customer service and the food was awesome! We ordered the Lone Star Haystack, I had gravy on the side and husband had it the way it comes. Coffee is really good as well, not sure what brand they use but it wasn't bitter or burnt! Will come back again!

This place was great. We were there for Sunday dinner and it was busy, it took a little bit to get our food but I understand for the dinner rush. When we got it, it was delicious. My wife had a breakfast scramble and I had the Chicken fried steak. In town for a couple of weeks as we are full time RVers, but we'll be back before we leave for sure.

Those was my first visit here. I really enjoyed the breakfast and got plenty to eat. I loved the menu options and this was close to us and somewhere different to eat. Very happy with our meals.

It’s very homey but the food was great. I got catfish and shrimp (the platter of the day) and both were great. And of course you have to get a piece of the piece - the chocolate merengue pie was really good. Overall a good value.

Stoped in for lunch and had an amazing experience. The atmosphere was very welcoming and the food is very fresh, gave me a my mom cooked this vibe. Be sure to save room for at least two slices of pie because there are so many to choose from and they are very tasty!!

The food here is wonderful. I always order the Cowboy Club sandwich with fries and onion rings (pictured in my review). Each time, my food comes to my table consistently great. If ordering a lunch or dinner, look forward to spending about 20$ to 25$ per person if you include a delicious pie, but you get every dollar's worth. 5/5 ⭐ 👍❤️

Had to build my own breakfast because they didn't have what I specifically wanted. Pleasant experience. Disappointed the drinks aren't advertised on the menu.

This restaurant is a must for everyone in the Whitney area! They have a wide variety of menu items to satisfy just about any craving, always keep everything cleans and staff is good to keep orders rolling quick for carryout! Shout-out to Stephanie and Debbie who always goes above and beyond to make every customers experience the best!

Homely waitresses. Typical food typically. Chicken fried steak place. They'll bring pretty good rolls. Not the best, but ok. Drinks taste like the machine is cleaned when it should be, and utensils are plastic sealed. Today my breading was a bit overcooked, and the waitress took a little extra time, but it's because my boss rushed her a little. All in all, just a normal place to eat. The tables have large Texas cities stamped on them. It's one of the few we frequent.

Me and my buddy went here after fishing on Sunday morning. The food was great although it did take us a while to get it. But it was packed on Sunday morning. Great spot

My grandpa is a big time regular here. Sometimes 3x a day, so when we come into town to visit this is where we go. The food has always been great, friendly service and most of all I love to see how he gets treated there with so much care and love. I don't get to visit often but it makes me happy to see all the care that surrounds him when we go to the Cafe.

Delicious food, and excellent service. Erika, our server, was very accommodating and friendly. Breakfast all day was amazing, of course. Lots of old couples just sitting completely dead silent. Some guy came in and ordered a slice of pie before he even sat down! Overall, the perfect Texas Cafe experience.

Fantastic food & service. I had the veggie plate. The pinto beans were home cooked & delicious. The salad was also really good as were the mashed potatoes. Husband had chicken fried steak which was great too! We had the amazing lemon pie. Customer service was EXCELLENT! We’ll be back.

The breakfast menu at this place is very extensive and the quality is very good. Its a nice atmosphere I would describe it as a locals experience more than a fancy hype place but it is still very comfortable and attractive. I haven't eaten anything yet that wasn't good and the sweet potato pancakes are a personal favorite. I've only had the pie once but it was as good as you hear...I just usually am there for breakfast not lunch or dinner.
