The chicken e whitney location has been slipping since start of 2022, started with overcooked chicken tenders. Gave up on em a cpl months ago over that. However at 11:30ish am was passing thru and decided to retry them, thinking maybe their opening crew had better values than their evening crew. I was mistaken, not sure how a business has 20-30 old tasting weird textured rubbery cold chicken tenders on hand an hr after opening, but this one nailed it with the one i ate as i drove home. Got home ate 1 and it was good and normal, the 2nd was really off flavored and was given to the dog. The 3rd tasted fine but had odd texture. Wife tried some but had them dowsed with serendipity and noticed nothing odd untill her stomach started rumbling....Put remainder in fridge. A lil bit ago heated 6, ate 3(only ate 3 seemingly normal tasting ones,other 3 tasted off and gave to dog) within 15 min i had the dreaded stomach rumblies.. Needless to say, i have eaten my weight 3 times over in tenders over the years, and have never had issues like this from any chicken e or other tenders. But this chain in whitney is on a steady downhill slide with food quality taking the biggest downturn. To the business owner, Please focus less on remodeling your building and work exstensively on you or your employees failure to assure food quality minimums.

Sweet tea was barely flavored water. Okra was very done (too crispy). The catfish filets were huge! But waaaay too salty. It made us sick to eat just one. I've been to other Chicken Express locations that are much, much better.

We ordered 2 #1s they weren't even tenders they were small nuggets And then there was the fried pickles that they didnt even put in a box they put in a paper bag and then on top of the box which got grease everywhere and it went through my box and made my fries soggy. I got an arnold palmer that tasted like toothpaste and whenever I asked the lady if there was anything she could do about it she rudely said "what else do you want to drink" as well as my friend asking for all drum sticks and she got all breast. I'm not someone to leave reviews but all at once this was horrible.

There was mysterious hair floating in my lemonade feelings: scared 😱 chicken was also very bland and unseasoned gravy tasted box made and also had a hair. Needless to say me and my son will never be coming and looks very uncared for. Think about being vegan before coming here.

I have tried multiple times over the last few days to go to this store, and have not been served. I am injured, and cannot walk very well, so I tend to depend on drive thru. I am also a grave shift worker, meaning I stay up all night and sleep during the day, and I sleep in on weekends as they're the only days I have off. I can arrive at 8:45, 9, or even 9:15, and will not receive any service at this drive thru, despite them not closing until 10. I will pull up to the speaker after having seen people inside, and I will sit there for a while with no response at all. They also do not answer the phone when you try to call. I had to drive to Hillsboro just to get service because I got none in Whitney. I will not be going to this store again due to poor service and attention.

Bought the 7 piece tenders for side cheese sticks lucky i haven’t ate came home i notice ion smell no chicken smell or cheese sticks smells NOT EVEN A FRESH COOKED SMELL i smelled the chicken tenders and cheese sticks sour smell or something old that’s been left for days I’m never buying tenders again hear learn my lesson. only thing imma buy is dollar large cup of tea that’s it this is messed UP YA GON GET PEOPLE/kids FOOD POISION Because of your mess not cooking food properly ya should be fired for this

Absolutely love their chicken! Great prices, very convenient and usually very fast. It is our go-to fast food place. We always check our order to make sure it's what we asked for, because there have been mix-ups in the past. That's the only negative we have. We'll definetly keep coming back to our favorite fast food place.

When I ordered a large side of fries this is what I received. Unacceptable!! These are not edible.

I requested for hot fresh chicken strips. I even asked which just came out ? Spicy or regular. Still got cold , old chicken strips. Probably won’t come back. The flavor is good and the chicken is good but I can’t eat cold chicken.

A friend and I stopped to have supper, we ordered and the food was brought to us!! Such nice young people work there. 👏 we enjoyed the #1 and congratulated the staff before leaving. Good job Chicken Express.

I use to live in Alvarado Texas. And new there food was always great. Stopped in to grab a bite. I ordered chicken planks and Cole slaw. And a small drink. And enjoyed my meal.

I used to come here before they remodeled, and let me tell you, IT WAS TERRIBLE.!!! Since then it's been under new ownership. Whatever they did it worked. The food is actually good now. I go there at least once a week now. So good...

The last two times I went there my order has been wrong. Tonight, I was the only person in line. I ordered spicy and received regular. If I hadn't asked for my bread, I wouldn't have gotten any. The same manager was present both times. As of today, I won't be returning. The food is far too expensive to not get what one orders. Sadly, young people today have little to no work ethic. Since one cannot obtain work ethic on Google, future customers need to check everything they order. Pathetic!

The best fast food joint in town. The management here is on it. I’m not sure what her name is but she is often there, red headed. She deserves some credit because she runs the restaurant smoothly even with high school students. The food is consistently fresh and fast. The orders are usually correct. I also have histamine intolerance which partly has to do with bacteria and food left out. Fresh is best with histamine intolerance. I have reactions often when eating from other restaurants despite taking a supplement that helps degrades histamine. But I do not have to worry about this when I eat at the chicken express in Whitney. She even was running it efficiently when they were remodeling which in my opinion, deserves a raise!

Excellent drive -through fried chicken. The chicken livers and gizzards are awesome and the fried chicken is very good.. Again, for a drive-through.

My first time there and I was pleased with everything. The portions were very good, we ordered chicken strips. They combined smaller pieces to equal 1 chicken strip to aliveate any concerns of being portioned small. The chicken and sides were fresh and traveled very well for the drive home. The person at the drive thru was very kind and professional.
