Small nursing home, but does have a sub acute area. I would not recommend this place, they do a poor job of caring for their patients hygiene ,resulting in patients having bed sores, infection ,and body odor.many families complain of the same issues. My biggest issue is they wait way to long to call 911 to have patients transfered to a hospital for emergency services, which results in a higher mortality rate then other facilities.

The LVN “dsd “Eva is very rude to registry nurses. If they are short staffed being rude to the people going to help isn’t the way to go. It makes the facility look really bad

Beware of this place the DON, her name is Pennie. She has no RN in the nursing home side. So if there is an intravenous antibiotics that needs to be given. She asked the RN in the sub-acute side to give it to the patient. But she signs that she was the one who gave the medicine even though she's at home already. She does this every day.

Beware of this place! They are so petty! They don't experience nurses treating the patients. My loved-one has been here for close to two years and I see dead body's being taken away every couple months of even young patients. As you may know, they changed the facility name recently and they think that will rid their problems.

Whittier Pacific Center hired a known criminal by the name of Matthew Ayala who is under investigation by the board of nurses for abusing and manhandling an elderly man. . . Shame on this care center

I was here as registry never again will I step a foot in here . This place is awful. The DSD Eva is nasty & unpleasant . All the CNa’s are undiplomatic to the patients. They don’t know how to run this place . This place should be close . I’m surprised is still open

My father was here for a month and almost died in this facility due to lack of proper wound care. They do not attend to patients needs right away. We visited my father everyday to make sure he was ok little did we know the proper care his wound needed was not given. Wound specialist claimed it was getting better when it wasnt true. Very dissapointed and upset this place operates like this. Please be careful when sending your loved ones here.

Was admitted to this nursing care facility that was in horrible conditions..I called 911 after being here for 1hr.. after having Spinal cord Surgery,, I needed a walker and they had none available ,, I requested a camode & didn't have one to use,, conditions here were not met for my medical needs ,, nor was there any other medical devices for my disability.. the facility is not maintained with medical personnel unprofessional.. I would give this place a minus 10 stars if I could.. please let it be known that is facility is unfit for elder medical needs..

Other nursing homes I have encountered have a relaxed atmosphere, allowing friends and family to bring balloons for loved ones. NOT THIS PLACE! They are so petty here, they purposely air-out the balloons, saying "its toxic to the oxygen in our facility".

The DSD Director Of Staff Development Eva Santiago is very disrespectful , she will not let you call off if your feeling sick or if you have a family emergency , she doesn’t care about her LVNs & CNA’s . I have no idea who gave her this job . She is a very wicked person , she talks a lot of bad things about her employees , she will put random names on the assignment and we will think someone is schedule by the middle of the shift that person we though was coming never showed up and now we are short staff thanks to Eva Santiago.

I didn’t have a problem working her my first week but after my first week I seen a lot and I can say DSD assistant CNA is so ghetto , always complaining and she’s very unprofessional they should run a drug test on her. Don’t trust her name “Claudia Garcia” she’s unethical.

I am in my fifth week at Whittier Pacific Care. I am getting better and soon it will be a sad farewell to all the incredible pampering I have been enjoying. The staff has been wonderful, happy and caring. The food is delicious, prepared by a chef who sincerely loves his work and filling people's tummies. This is quite a large facility. There is even a wing where unfortunately end-of-life patients are looked after. Staff is always available and ready to care for your needs. In therapy, something I dreaded ahead of time, the therapists are not a nightmare but a dream come true! They work with you and never push you beyond your tolerance. A happy patient, all I can say is pleasantries. Whittier Pacific Care - a great place to get better! After many days of complaints about broken leg on my wheelchair, I found my hero. Jennifer! She located the correct foot holder for wheelchair and installed it. Now I can finally use bed and wheelchair intermittently to give legs a chance to unwind. YAY Jennifer! Also, the commode has been repaired! During my second week here. Most of the people who work here are amazing! They do everything they can to make you feel comfortable. The food is good, which is surprising for a long term facility. (Example: today’s lunch was extraordinary! Street tacos with rice and beans, and peaches.) I am still experiencing problems with two items, both of which aid in “returning me to normal” - one is my wheelchair. The wheelchair I am using first had no rests for feet or legs, later the legs were different - one short, one long. The therapist fixed the short leg, yet now the other leg is broken, and that is the injured leg. So I put in a new request, yesterday and today, for hopefully a different and working wheelchair. Also, the commode in the bathroom has one widened arm and one shortened arm. Best if both were widened and I requested that today. Other than that, everything is great! And I’m not sure how to add reviews, so edited my original with this. So this new patient will return with another review. Soon. In the meantime, all employees of this center are friendly, happy and will do what they can to help and to please.

Great place to work. DSD is very helpful and informative when I have questions. And she always steps in when we are short staffed to work the floor. A lot of people writing bad reviews are the ones who get caught being unprofessional and not doing their job, so they get upset when they have to actually work .
