Incredible sandwiches! The famous #8 blew my mind. The Italian dressing and grated Parmesan was such a unique combo. The toasted bun paired well with it. For a side I got the broccoli slaw, a pleasant change from normal coleslaw. Highly recommend if you need a good sandwich! Staff was really friendly. I love the Irish theme that runs throughout the entire bar.

Small pub with good sandwiches and interesting music most nights. Friends say the Ruben and Rachel are good. I loved the BLT and thought the Famous number 8 was good. Irish decor, good pub atmosphere, and Allison, our bar tender/ waitress was professional, courteous and seemed genuinely glad we were there. Made the experience a star greater! Thanks Allison! Tip - can get crowded on live music nights so come early to grab your table!

I am so lucky to stumble upon this bar. The sandwich was great. Vegetarian options! Live acoustic music was amazing. What made it extra special was that I loved chatting with one of the owners, Tracey. She was so kind & made my first trip feel like I was a regular. Thank you for making my trip to Wichita :)

Stopped here on a bestie road trip from Ohio to New Mexico and it was a great choice. We were craving BLT's, but decided to get the Famous #8 with broccoli salad and it was all delicous! Finished up with an Irish Breakfast shot, which was also amazing. I didn't get the name of our waitress, but she was wonderful and the other lady was nice, as well. Don't hesitate to stop here!

It is one of the best places to have a great lunch in Wichita! It is hard to beat the Famous Number 8 and the broccoli salad! I've been coming for years, and the Artichoke is a must stop when I am in town.

The Artichoke Bar is a quant local hangout with a Giant Irish personality... this pub even has a Blarney Stone out front for luck to all who enter. I don't miss the chance to venture into the local life of this historic landmark...always fantastic, always inviting, never disappointing. To boot the best Sandwiches around. I highly recommend! #dontforgettokisstheBlarneyStoneatattheArtichoke #kissthestone #artichokewichitaks

It's a hole in the wall for sure but never judge a book by its cover. One of the best sandwich places in Wichita. The pasta salad is something everyone needs to try.

On March 31, 2023 (originally posted on Yelp): We have been going to the Artichoke for many years, starting and continuing until Pat Audley sold because of health problems. Was the place to go for good friendly company, food, drink, and pub entertainment. After Pat sold, it maintained most of its charm and good food, but now it is not the same. Have not been in for some time, although ordered through the window couple of months or so. My daughter wanted to meet us for lunch, and since she was at a meeting not far from the Artichoke, we told her to meet us there. Since the lunch time used to be packed, we ordered for three on the app "stating that we would eat in". When we arrived just before noon, the place was almost empty. When we told them that we had ordered online and were eating in, we were chewed out by the manager for doing so. Great way to welcome a customer. After being seated, they brought out the boxes and set them down. When my daughter arrived, she asked the waitress if she could have mayo on the sandwich, acting bothered, she brought the mayo and charged $.50 extra on a $10.99 sandwich, and a $43 tab. Why??? The food was acceptable, but not as good as it used to be. The place was at best a 25% full for a Friday noon meal. I now understand why the crowd was so sparse. No longer that friendly "Pub" atmosphere.

I am so happy I came across the little gem. What a great sandwich this was, and the people were really fun.

Have been here twice. The people are great! This time I didn't really like the sandwich I chose, it was very plain (which is odd for this place), but will still be back because I chose the sandwich, can't penalize them for my choice and the people are still wonderful. Everyone else in my party loved their food...so I'll try again

Great 👍 pub. We had the #8, which was awesome. Wife had their broccoli salad and enjoyed it! Acoustic music was a known bonus. Hands down, we will be back! If you haven't been here, then go!

Service is terrible when ordering online. The third-party system they use is essentially useless. You have to check out through the same system or through google pay. The third party delivery system is a joke too. Order was supposed to be delivered at a set time but didn't show up till an hour and a half later cold. Miss the days being able to make a phone call and go pick it up without an issue. Understandably we don't live in those times anymore, but if you're going to have a system like this in place at least use one that doesn't ruin food and isn't useless. Will never do an online order again. Waste of money.

I had a Wichita favorite today for lunch, the #8 with potato salad. I also had to try the Bangers and Mash, seeing how they got me feeling green once I walked in the door. The Irish spirit is strong! Which for me wasn't a bad experience. Everything tasted amazing the caramelized onions over the top of the potatoes was epic!

This place is 39 years old and often regarded as an Irish bar. I had heard much about it but it seemed like a hole in the wall. I had a corn- beef sandwich with potato salad and tea. My ex had a Nancy's roast beef stuff full of beef. The sandwiches were very good and we will return. I understand that on St. Pat's Day, this is the spot to be in in Wichita.

We really enjoyed our visit to the Artichoke! Nice chill atmosphere, friendly staff, fast service and great sandwiches! We highly recommend a visit and we will definitely be returning!

I've been walking past this joint for two years, and finally decided to escape the heat in its inviting interior. I was immediately made to feel welcome by the helpful staff. I didn't see all of the place, but the bar in which I ate my Reuben and drank my Smithwick's was open and airy, yet small and confined at the same time. The booze selection looked vast, with bottles on shelves reaching to the ceiling. My sandwich was expertly made, and the new recipe coleslaw was mouthwatering. When the zombie apocalypse occurs, I'm going to make the Artichoke my fortress.

Did not realize the prices went up $1.65 a sandwich until I got my receipt. The menu shows $10.99 for a hot 2 mama $10.99 for a roly moly. I got charged $12.64 each. Please update your menu's to reflect correct prices! As listed with this review this was a lunch DINE IN and not ordered through a 3rd party vendor!!

Passing through and a local friend recommended because they have great food. Amazing sandwiches and the sides are just as outstanding even had to take one to go because it was so good! Staff was very friendly and the prices were great too.

Has been a number of years since I last visited and it remains the same. A cozy dimly lit bar and dining area where they serve up some of the best tasting sandwiches in town. I had the Reuben with their broccoli salad as a side and both were delicious. Service was friendly and attentive as well.

Loved the Nancy’s Roast Beef sandwich with potato chips on the side. I liked it more than the Famous 8, but, both are amazing in their own right. Much rich flavor and freshness than quite a few sandwich places around town. Service is a little slow during peak times but I wouldn’t put that against them at all. Super nice people and loved the ambience.

We went to see the Haymakers and found a seat in the back. Unfortunately the sound system was not working back there. We got one round of drinks and our server disappeared for a very long time. They returned and we ordered another round of drinks and an appetizer and waited a very long time and the items were never received so we just paid and left. Didn't get to try the food.

Went for a quick lunch while visiting my uncle in the hospital nearby. It wasn't busy but the waitress forgot to put our order in and every table seated after us got served first. Food was good however, when we got our sandwiches 40 minutes later.

Our sandwich was very good, it was no problem for us to split it and each get a side. There was music provided by a couple and she covered a wide range of music genre's. It was a very relaxing atmosphere.

Service is always great and food is great too! Food can be a little inconsistent in the way it's cooked at times, but never bad! Lovely little hole in the wall right in downtown Wichita you must try! Call ahead if you just want to hit the drive through or go sit down inside.

If you think about it this is really a dumb question. Artichoke is amazing the famous number eight the best. Can't beat their broccoli salad they make some unbelievable soups and the hostess are always smiling and there for you when you need that refill. Definitely one of the first places I like to go and out of town for a long period of time and returning.
