My first time here. Ordered the sampler plate. It was all genuinely good. Honestly, one of the best tacos I have had (not counting my moms). Food was served surprisingly quick. Impressed all around. Will definitely be back.

A solid family owned Mexican restaurant. Friendly staff. Good good. Recently renovated (or feels like it) inside.

First visit to El Patio..small restaurant with limited seating for social distancing. Food was served quickly that was a definite plus. It wasn't hot which was a downside but it was quick. I had the al pastor and barbacoa tacos and requested the fried flour tortilla which they obliged. Those tacos were soooooooo good. The regular salsa was bland and tasted more like crushed tomato's however the spicy salsa had a little flavor and the chips were light and fresh. Service was pretty decent as well.

If I could put a zero for service I would. Our waitress was rude. She messed up my order and I asked her to replace it. She gave me a horrible attitude then proceeded to go talk about me to her coworker( where I could hear everything she said). She didn’t return to my table after that. When I was paying to leave she called the owner and forced me to talk to the owner.. when I left she started screaming at me and made it clear the owner was her grandmother and she wasn’t going to be talked to about her attitude. She was completely unprofessional and she did sit on her phone majority of time I was there. I’ve been to this restaurant numerous times and have had her as a waitress before but this time is has made me not want to return.

The wife and I have been eating at El Patio for over 40 years and the last 3 years every Saturday for lunch after we get off work. This Saturday 7-9 22 we stopped my and was given the same old menu and we ordered one of our favorites a smothered pork burrito the menu still showed $8.00. When we received our burrito we noticed it was a lot smaller than they were before but we said nothing they were still good. So we went up to pay (they never give you a ticket you just go to the cash register and they collect your money) the waitress says $22.04 I look up at her and said that’s not right it should be $17.20 then she says no we had a increase today the smothered pork burrito is $10.25 now. My wife said to her then you need to change your menu prices and she says we plan on getting new ones. They have lost us as a customer we will never go back and in our business we get a lot of customers who ask us of somewhere to eat that’s close and we always recommend El Patio but that will not happen anymore we will not go back and we will never recommend them again. By the way there menu online as of today shows the smothered pork burrito $7.50

This should tell you how delicious the food is there! Fresh chips daily. Hot sauce that can cook your butt. Great enchiladas and great refried beans cooked fresh daily. No water type beans or can beans either. That old fashion style.

Best table salsa in town hands down. We asked for their extra hot as well… it is no joke, not for the faint of heart. Food was excellent, Chile rellenos were my favorite by far! 100% will be back.

Great hole in the wall Mexican food. Salsa was flavorful without being overpowering with cilantro. They even have lo carb options

Had a smothered burrito. Just wasn't very good. Tortilla definitely tasted store bought, the meat had no flavored, and the sauce it was smothered with tasted like straight up spaghetti sauce. Staff was very friendly though.

El Patio is my favorite place to eat in Wichita. Me and my family have been enjoying El Patio for over 15 years. The servers are always kind and treat everyone like family. The food is affordable for the amount you get.

Good little restaurant for an authentic Mexican meal. Space is tight but if you can get in at the right time then it’s worth the trip for the fresh chips and salsa alone. Menu prices are very reasonable and service was speedy once I got seated. The puffy taco meal I chose was good yet a little basic for my taste, but I will be back to check out a combination dinner of more creative menu items next time. I recommend trying El Patio for a simple and traditional Mexican meal while downtown. You can’t miss the cool matador mural on the side of the building.

Low carb meal was to die for. They offered me a togo soda for free. Nice atmosphere. It's a place to bring a date or the whole family.

Small place with the best Barbacoa tacos and beans I have had yet. The Barbacoa was steamed not fried so it wasn't greasy. They have many other items that I would like to try. Clean and busy with decent prices. My server was pleasant.

Excellent restaurant!! First time eating at El Patio. Luckily we decided to go here based on Google reviews!! We went off hours, so it wasn't very busy. The food had great flavor and was at a very fair price. We can't wait to go back and try some additional things from the menu when we are in Wichita again.

The prices were the same as many years ago, the prices have not gone up! That was awesome, the food was a little bit salty, a little less salt and it would of been great.

It is a traditional Mexican restaurant that does it the old-fashioned way! You will not find fillers in place of the real product. The chips are freshly made throughout the day. The aroma will tell you that you came to the right spot. The sauces are great. My son and I went on Saturday at 12:30 and we got the last booth empty. We had chicken and steak fajitas for two. Plus white cheese sauce. Each of us got a plate with fried beans, fresh rice, cheese, sour cream and Guacamole. Plus three four tortillas each. Then a big hot plate of fresh meat right off the grilled. The place can seat close to 40 people. The prices are very reasonable. The service is great and that is very important in my opinion. If you are in a hurry, it is the wrong place to go. Unless you call ahead for carryout.

Fast, friendly and good. A hidden gem if you are downtown.
