The wait staff are really kind, and very good at customer service. However, the food is subpar. I ordered a lunch taco salad (small) which came out to over $10 (no additions), and had maybe 2 oz. of chicken. I really hope the business improves the food quality- they are nice people who I hope succeed!!

Arrived with a good sized group. Staff made us feel welcome. Menu was easy to read. Affordable. Chips and salsa was very tasty and FRESH! Ordered the taco salad for me and 2 pork burritos for my husband (to go). We were both very happy. Everyone at the table TOTALLY ENJOYED their meals. Highly recommend.

Ordered a beef fajita burrito and a margarita. Margarita was just your standard margarita bucket mix you can get at Walmart. Chips and salsa were ok but nothing great. The burrito was very bland and was more of a salad in a burrito than an actual burrito with WAYYY TOO MUCH LETTUCE. The burrito was massive to point you can’t pick it up and eat like a burrito should without making a mess. Service was lackluster and did not seem eager to make the drink or to bring out the chips and salsa. Overall I would not eat there again.

Absolutely delicious authentic food. Friendly staff too. Food came out fast and hot. Large portions, so come hungry. The free chips and salsa had great flavor.

Love the place when it was on North Broadway, but that actually was a different ownership. These owners stole the name from under the old owner and trademarked it as their own to steal the customer base. Why not just open your own Mexican restaurant with its own name? Pathetic.

Food was subpar, didn’t have much of a taste. Taco meat lacked any taco seasoning. Chorizo was subpar and had no taste. Refried beans was bean goop. Can’t say the food was terrible but we won’t return.

I lived in Wichita for many years, and La Chinita was one of my favorite places. Having moved several years ago, we make it a point to visit when we are in the area. Although the restaurant has changed location and ownership, the food is still made with the same recipes and is still what I remember. Our favorites are the flautas, burritos, and Montereys (wife orders the Jr Special #1). Service was excellent, one of the owners came out to make sure everything was good. I don't get to Wichita very often now, but hope to get back to La Chinita!

This used to be one of my favorites. I ordered the Mexican steak. I received the T-Bone. If there's multiple steaks, then I don't understand why my waiter didn't verify. I'll eat this mistake, but I won't make the mistake of eating here again. This is tragic. As a side note, the T-Bone tasted great, so if you'd like to gamble on what you get, then I'd recommend this place. For me, I prefer getting what I order. No Abraham, you didn't verify. If you had given me the correct order. If you had, then I'm sure I would've had the correct order. As I said in my review, I would eat the mistake, but I won't make the mistake of returning. If these reviews actually matter to you, then may I suggest getting your customers' orders correct. You make quality food. If you serve your customers what they order, then you'll likely get a much different rating. I know I would give you 5 stars if you hadn't messed up my order, but you can blame whatever you want. You just won't be blaming me in the future, as I'm not a dealer's choice foodie. Have a wonderful day.

This restaurant is always our Go-To. We love the staff and the food! We are regulars there, they know my order, my kids' orders, and my fiancé's. We LOVE their chips and salsa! They always do a wonderful job!

Brought my family to Wichita for the weekend and found this awesome little place. The staff was friendly and the food was delicious. The service was outstanding. Never an empty drink at our table. We really enjoyed it. Definitely stopping here again.

My wife and I had this pozole and menudo. They exceeded our expectations. The friendliness of the staff, was over the top. We will come back again.

My go to lunch spot. The service is ALWAYS ON POINT. I really can't say enough about this place. It has a family restaurant feel and it feels like a family has opened their doors and offered you a seat at their table, really warm and inviting restaurant and staff.

We come every Friday for the special. Always get greeted at the door and know what we want. Kids love the play area even tho i think it's for the owners kids they let them play

The fish tacos were mushy and the chicken tasted canned. The meat in the beef tacos were freezer burned and when I tried to talk to the waiter he was rude as heck and insinuated we were lying to get free food. Don’t eat here unless you want the worst food and service in Wichita.

In from Kansas City and love authentic Mexican food. This place was spot on. The service was A+ and the food was amazing. First day I had the pastor tacos and they were really good. They cool with pineapple juice in the meat instead of the pineapple on top ( the way I am use to) the flavor was perfect. The next day I and the fajitas beef and chicken combo. I was rather happy they did not bring it out on a hot plate because if you don't keep stirring it that tends to burn or over cool the meat. The chicken was really juicy and tender and flavor was incredible. I would go back and will go back next time I am in the area. The food was great but service was amazing, just a really friendly place to grab a bite.

I went back to Wichita for the first time in several years. I had to eat at La Chinita - it was fantastic, just as I remembered. The La Chinita #1 is unique and wonderful. I was born one year before La Chinita opened and have been going as long as I can remember --- HIGHYLY RECOMMEND!
