I went here with family on a Thursday Night, and the food was pretty good and very tasty. The margaritas were okay. However, our waiter was extremely rude to us, and wouldn’t answer questions we had about the food. We had to ask another waiter almost every time we needed something like refills. Another family sat down by us after we order, and got their food before we did, which we waited about 40 minutes for. It took over 30 minutes to get our check even after we asked for it. The food is very good but the service could have been better. We felt extremely disrespected.

I don't get why people say this place has good service. We went there on a busy day and assumed the slow service was due to the amount of people. Giving it another shot, we went when the restaurant was less busy. We got seated and then nothing. For 25 minutes, nothing. Staff walked by us. Guess we got our answer. Never going back.

This was a restaurant my daddy chose to take me to after his doctor's appointment in Derby and I was so thankful we walked in the door and I seen beautifully colored chairs and tables it was such a happy environment to be in. We got there a little bit early and there were only about 15 people there and by the time we left there was a good 75 people in there. My dinner is on the blue plate and only cost me $7 for the corn enchilada and corn taco with rice they had forgot I asked for beans and so they brought me over a big bowl of beans in addition to this. We ate for $20 it was a very joyous experience I loved my chicken taco and I loved their sauce and brought home my leftover beans, rice and sauce. You can see my Dad was pouring the last of the first carafe of mild sauce on his food and of course Dad ate every bite on his plate. 🙂🙂🙂

Good prices for the portion. We came right before the rush hour for dinner starts and was seated quickly. The service was slow when it came to bringing out chip, salsa, and drink refills. I had the ceviche, and it could use a bit more seasoning and lime juice. It was quite bland. Though the tilapia looked great, the fish quality is okay. It would be great if they would offer another type of rice like cilantro lime rice, which would pair much better with this dish, and many people in our group don't really care for the Mexican rice. The steam veggie of broccoli and baby carrots with Mexican rice made a boring combination. The sizzling fajitas looked great and got good feedbacks from our party.

I love eating here. It is relaxing and the food is enjoyable. Good prices.

Feels like we are stepping into a restaurant in Mexico! Beautiful and well done! Really an authentic Mexican food restaurant and authentic Mexican food! I have been there a few times and have had the carnitas, spectacular! The beef chimichanga and rellenos! Great food and great service every time we've been there! Thanks and we'll be back!

Ordered the steak fajitas for 2. Large portion for 2 people. Arrived to the table sizzling hot. Rice, beans, pico and guacamole all had good flavor. Price was pretty decent. Just over $30 with tip included. Service was decent also.

I think I like the El Agave out west better. Our server though was very kind and gave us very good service I just didn't care for the atmosphere at this one very much. It was very hard to figure out which door to go in they had three doors and two of them were locked but you didn't know it till you tried to get in. And when we entered they just kind of ignored us at first. But once we were seated the server quickly attended to us and she was really kind

Really great Mexican food. If u like spicy sauce, the green sauce is great. I love their mild red sauce and chips, queso is really good too. I always get their fajitas so much for the price. Excellent all around!

First off, the food made the 3 of us sick. Not food poisoning sick but we just didn't feel good at all. The food got to us really fast but we had to wait forever for our drinks. Tables were wobbly. Overpriced for sure. Won't be going back.

I had the fajita burrito and it was literally the size of my arm and covered in queso. Delicious!! The house salsa is cilantro heavy to warn the cilantro haters out there. Family of 4, we enjoyed our food and will be back!

Food was amazing! And I think it took all but 5 minutes for it to arrive after ordering! Was really impressed. Will definitely be back!

The food is decent ! We found the portions to be large. My only complaint really would be that the service can be a bit slow. The food came out in decent time but the waitress was a little slow getting back around to our drinks.

We've gotten to-go food from here on several occasions. It's never ready when we get there, they don't ever seem friendly or welcoming or update us on when it will be ready. I could understand if it was busy, but it never is. Maybe it's a language barrier, I don't know. Food tastes good when we get it though.

As someone coming from Raleigh/Durham NC. It's hard for me to accept the Americanized versions of "tradition" foods. This place impressed me however. From the very homey atmosphere to the enormous portions for the price. I truly enjoyed my time and my meal. Which provided left overs! The service was also impeccable. Fast, attentive and, most impressively, they payed attention. I will definitely go back.

This was the east location on Rock Rd. We usually go to west location. It had been awhile since we went. This was the first time at this location. The food was good, It was served hot and fresh. It did take a bit from order to food arrival. The chips were not the best, tastes a little greasy, not as fresh. It was lunch time it was not too crowded

Went in for lunch with a friend. I have visited the Maize road location a few times and this location is on par with that one. I had the burrito/taco create your own combo. Food is a little bland but overall was very good. Salsa is excellent. Service was very attentive and friendly.

Best margs in town. We always get sat right away, even when busy. The service is phenomenal. We had Juan, truly impressed.

Very Happy and satisfied with my experience here! It’s very hard to find Mexican food in Wichita that I like. But this is the place to check out if you want great food at a great price.

They were a short-staffed, I'd imagine due to covid, but they were obviously working so hard to keep everyone happy. Despite the pandemic and the staffing issues, the food was PERFECT. El Agave never disappoints. 10/10 recommend the Enchiladas Agave and a coronarita!

Some of the best tasting food I've had for a reasonable price and the environment was wonderful. Even the kids were bragging about this place

It is a very nice restaurant, the waiters are so nice and the food is very inexpensive but best of all if you go on Wednesday and Thursday they have 299 margaritas. If you drank two of them you can't drive home. I had a A-1 service at El Agave. thank you for the best experience.

Wow..and Wow again..so the Food was Superb with a touch of excellent!! Decor was to my liking..not over the top but just right..The only thing that sucked was the service..she didn't bring us water with our requested drinks..and refills..well we had to hunt her down..but the food made up for it..plus she didn't get a tip..

THIS IS THE EAST LOCATION ONLY Wait time was more than 15min. Mostly due to slow service. When finally seated, it took forever to get our food. When it came out, 2 of the 4 KID'S meals were wrong! My plate was broken on the edge. When we complained to the waitress, she just rolled her eyes at us. I normally won't complain to the manager, but this time, I had to. That waitress was the worst! Needless to say, this is the first and last time we will be at the east side restaurant.
