I don't know who needs to see this, but I sure hope it helps someone. Dr. Henry and his staff saved my life. I had an L5, S1 injury that put me on my stomach. I couldn't sit at all, and couldn't stand longer than a few minutes, and I was completely immobile. After a fusion on the lumbar, he found a cervical another that required a fusion as well. Both went very well. I am 10 months post op lumbar and 4 months post op cervical and I am so happy with my results. They gave me my life back. We will never be the same again but we can most definitely be the best version of us. Thank you guys. I hope that hearing you saved someone, never gets old. 💓😁

My last visit was in January 2020. I waited to write a review thinking my thoughts on Dr. Weimar would pass but that's not the case. Thinking about Dr Weimar still makes me mad so I decided to write a review to warn others. Dr. Weimar is a total jerk. Doesn't want to hear what the patient has to say, even though I know my body and how it feels. I had no issue with the rest of the staff. Will not be going back.

Dr Weimer was fine, but the front desk staff are staggeringly unfriendly and rude. All of them. Won’t be back. Don’t let them rope you into getting injections at the spine hospital next door. That place has HUGE administrative issues. They never answer the phone. Twice I called 20 times in 4 hours and never had a human pick up. I finally had to drive 30 mins one way just to talk to a human. They are weeks behind in their paperwork, so it will takes weeks and weeks to get in after you send them all of your paperwork.

Everytime I come here I have to wait WAY past my appointment time. The front desk people are always slow. I haven't even seen the doctor since my surgery...I guess they got their money and that's what matters. If the best surgeons weren't here this place would go bottom up in less than a year. Def will not be coming back after my appointment today!!

I have the utmost respect for Dr. Grundmeyer and the two spine surgeries and results. My issue is with the scheduler. My primary care physician did a referral in August 2021. After I left several messages about an appointment and never had any return calls, my primary care physician asked about the referral and the scheduler finally contacted me in November. Then I needed an updated MRI which I had in late November. After repeatedly leaving messages I finally heard from the scheduler in late February or early March and an appointment was scheduled for April 26th. At that appointment I was referred for trigger point injections. The scheduler did follow through but it didn't work out and the facility referred me back to Abay to find someone else which Dr. Grundmeyer had assured me they would do. I have left additional messages and have heard nothing in almost four months. This did not happen with my other two surgeries as I dealt with someone else. I don't understand how a scheduler has the authority to not follow through with doctor's orders. I only hope that she or her family are never in continuous pain and if they are that their treatment is better than what I received.

Worst experience ever we were having confusion about an appointment and Ashley L. Barks (a physician) laughed in our face and asked if we were need a second opinion several times and all we need to know is if he was getting a shot that day. Can’t believe a physician could treat their patients with such disrespect. She didn’t even want to help us figure out what was going on she left the room and sent some else in .

When the referral was sent to this office it took 10 days for a return call to set up just a consultation with compression fractures in my back. Due to the severity of pain I asked if it was possible to consult and treat back to back. Receptionist was rude and stayed no it would be at least 30 days to treat. I went ahead with the appointment, over 3 hours to receive a call that the appointment was cancelled 20 minutes prior to the appointment. I asked if any other dr was able to see me. The response was a rude no. They wanted to reschedule in 2 days at the risk of being cancelled again. The return ride home over 3 hours. I did reschedule for when the dr would be there. After being referred elsewhere I called and cancelled the appointment and again the staff was rude. First impression of the front desk staff being rude and inconsiderate this is I won’t be back. Look elsewhere for treatment that has compassionate and personable staff. Staff attitude is a reflection of the Dr’s care.

The worst surgeon ever. The office staff is rude and could care less and the post surgery help is nonexistent. Go anywhere but here. Many people I have talked to are just as unsatisfied. What a joke. Not to mention they have lied to me and been caught. They still don’t care.

Good luck getting or even keeping an appointment. They don't call back. Once the appointment was finally set 2 weeks past the date I was told to see the Dr. I never received a reminder so I called the morning of to be sure I still had an appointment and was told I didn't have an appointment and didn't need to be seen. I do need to be seen. I'm having recurring symptoms after a motorcycle accident. I was sent to the care coordinator who didn't answer and has never called back. I spoke to multiple people several times still no appointment. I'll get a referral from my PCP to someone else.

Office staff are rude! Had an appointment time of 9:45. In waiting room for an hour and a half! Checked in with rude receptionist only to be told our appointment was at 11:00? Nope i had that appointment written on calendar. Dr Dickerson is great but staff are incompetent!

I would give this place -20 stars if I could. The staff here is incredibly incompetent, inconsiderate, rude, uncaring, and overall just absolutely useless. They don’t follow up after surgery, they make appointments without even notifying you, then threaten to cut off post-surgery medication for missing it. They happily take your money and do surgery, then it’s up to you to constantly badger them for everything. They’re awful. I highly recommend people go anywhere else other than here. A back alley neurosurgeon would have more courtesy and compassion.

Very impressed with outcome of surgery. Dr. Lothes and staff, Including all staff at Spine Specialty Hospital were amazing and accommodating. The results are better than we imagined and hoped for , the recovery will be lengthy but worth it !

I had severe pain and the doctor was understanding and cared that my pain be taken cared of as soon as possible. The doctors and staff are very knowledgable of my problem. The PA, Jarrod Conklin was just as good as the doctors too. I will always make this place my 1st choice for issues in the future.

😶 Dr. Henry was okay but the office staff was uncalled for. 1 visit, then they sent it to collections real quick. It's been 1 yr ago and to this day, I still have NOT rec a bill. Phone calls are worthless....

Very bad scheduling. Make you wait long past appointment times. A quick look at other reviews and it’s evident this has been going on for awhile. I’ve had a few appointments now and every single appointment they have had me waiting way past time. I’m sitting in the waiting room right now typing this on my phone, it’s an hour past my scheduled appointment time and still waiting. If this happened one time okay, but this isn’t the first time. Ridiculous!

I can't comment on the doctors or staff, as I haven't even seen them yet. My husband's appointment was at 9:45. We arrived at 9:20. We were finally taken to a room at 10:15. It is now 10:45 and we still haven't seen the doctor. We drove 2 hours to come here, and this is ridiculous.

Had a great experience today! Receptionist was very friendly and efficient! Called back right on time and then waited a short 30 minutes until Dr. Grundmeyer and his NP Stacy. They were already prepared with my information. My problem was fully explained in plain terms and I was given my options for treatment. Highly recommend!

Extremely difficult to get any response from their office. You have to leave a message and they NEVER return your call. Doctor didn't seem to know much about my condition. Poor excuse for a patient csrem

I had to hit 1 star to access reviews. I arrived prior to 10:45 check in with ALL paperwork already completed for 11:15 appt. At 1:00 asked staff if we should just go to lunch, no explanations ex. emergency/ I get that ummm things happen, oh no nurse has your folder in hand. Finally saw doctor 1:50.

I waited over 2 hours to see Dr. Weimar and this was in the morning, there was 2 people ahead of me....and still no doctor. Nobody bothered to come in and say the doctor will be right with you, NOTHING! The lady I spoke with was very rude and I feel like my appointment wasn't that important.
