The castle is 20zl, but the only place accessible is the small museum, which is just a few rooms. They should say the castle and grounds are close for repairs before you buy a ticket.

One of the most boring museums ever, unfriendly personnel and not much to see. Just go the salt mines and visit their museum. Just skip this one, you’ll thank me later 😉

Went here on a Saturday at 5:30pm. They are supposed to open till 8pm but the entrance was locked for no reason. The old guy at the lodge was rude, unhelpful and doesn't speak English. Time wasted and did not enter the premise.

Free on saturday. Actually quite a small castle, more alike a defensive device than a castle to live.

This museum is free, and has a potential. You buy tickets in one place, with a shop, the entrance to the museum is behind a corner, wide open but guarded. I expected someone downstairs either to issue an audio guide, or a booklet, or to show around themselves (I know I'm oldfashioned), but no, they are just a better looking addition to the security guards, either letting you in or not. The building, the castle, itself is interesting and has a good feeling about it. There is a keep tower to it too, free, go around the whole building. I saw a room with a collection of salt shakers, unfortunately not much details. But funny to recognise two(!) I saw in my friends' kitchens a couple of decades ago. Will tell them they should keep theirs. There was two temporarily modern art exhibitions, and I really liked those.

One of the hotspot where most of the people who visit Krakow would visit. They have a English guided visit for every 30 minutes and cost around 180 zloty. They also have Polish speaking visit for every 10 minutes which would cost you just 50 zloty (you can go for it if you have less time to spend) it takes more then 2 hours to complete all places. Starting with walking down the stares for 20 minutes to go to the lower most location in the mine. The place is beautiful with lots of sculpture made of black salt.

It has good salt work and 2 floors of porcelain work. I didn't like it that much as I was expecting it to contain the history of salt mining in poland or world , but I guess that's something which is covered by salt mine already. I also wanted to visit the castle but it was closed due to renovation

Very impressive place. The mines are huge and beautiful. The guidance arrangement is very well organized. A bit too crowded while trying to send as many groups as possible each day (4000 visitors p/day). Yet very recommend

Didn't actually go into the museum (based on the reviews of others) but enjoyed the gardens and the tower ( both free). Worth a quick visit if you're in the area.

👍👍 I enjoyed every single moment while being there, overwhelmingly great and rich place with all the details. It is something impressive and huge to build and maintain over centuries. Every person should visit Kraków, and every person most visit this mine once at least.

👍👍 We will take care of the park with a pond. There are a lot of ducks in the pond, a vending machine for free food is standing. There are several benches in the park and a large playground facing the pool. A very good place for a walk in the shade
