Beautiful urban park in the Victorian style. Lovely flowerbeds, a play area for the kids, fully accessible with good parking. Tennis courts, bowling green and a quaint tea shop. Well worth a look

Very good facility, nice cafe which sells hot food. 2 tennis courts, a football pitch, a well- funded play park and an outdoor excercize area. Good for learning to bike ride, walking your dog or a fun day out for families with children, especially younger ones or children between 12 and 14 as there is a bigger kid section and little kid section to the park. The park is of walking distance or a bus journey from leigh bus station so it easily accessible. I've been there 100s of times but most recently I went to do some roller skating with my sibling (who was on a skateboard). We got off at leigh bus station and then walked to the park, spent about 2 hours there and then walked back into leigh, got a Maccies hot chocolate and got the bus back out. The journey was very easy and we didn't didn't have to cross any roads between the bus station and park. ( a good place to go for children practicing independence) it cost 6 pound for a day saver on the buses and 99 for a drink, so a cheap day out. In the past I have spent 6-8 hours there and not been bored.

Always come here as my son enjoys riding his bike on the paths and has a great time. Small children's play area and lovely cafe which serves lovely food cakes and coffees.

So well presented and well maintained. Really well looked after and such a gem of a park. The flowers and gardens were fantastic. Would be well chuffed if this was my local park.

It's a lovely park to visit but then it should be because Wigan council have virtually a full time team maintaining it, it's a pity they don't care about the parks in other parts of leigh

Went there for a fun day. Loads of stalls, plenty for the kids. Excellent day πŸ˜€ Only downside. ..... .... toilets desperately need some attention. Cafe on site if you need a pit stop 😁

Really nice park, well kept, my 3 year old grandson loved it. Good playground, with large sandpit. Adults exercise equipment. The cafe is very good, didn't have a meal, but had drinks and ice cream, all very good prices. Toilets, all clean. Would definitely recommend .

Good location. Great value. Decent selection and quality of food. Unfortunately, the speed and quality of service leaves a lot to be desired. Pleasant people but exceptionally slow in taking orders . Food was delivered quickly but no knife and items missing. Sorted out quickly but annoying.

It's a nice little walk. We took our 1 year old son to the park but there's not really that many things to entertain such a little one on that park and there was teenagers just loitering there.

A nice well kept park. Nice to see the cafe is still operating albeit just a take away service during lockdown. I believe the cafe is only open Wednesday to Saturday. Just a shame that the disabled and ladies toilets are not open. Not sure why, as the government guidelines say they should be open!!
