My
wife
and
I
visited
there
tonight
after
driving
in
from
Louisiana.
Just
a
little
get-away
while
granddaughter
has
a
sleepover
at
home.
One
inducement
to
get
my
wife
to
agree
to
come
to
Wiggins
was
we
would
eat
at
the
Whistle
Stop
Cafe
and
she
could
get
one
of
her
all
time
favorite
dishes,
Fried
Green
Tomatoes.
We
arrive
as
they
re-open
and
are
seated
immediately.
They
take
our
drink
order
and
return
with
them
to
also
get
our
food
order.
But
wait,
the
server
needs
to
go
back
into
the
kitchen
to
get
to
get
the
list
of
what
they
are
"out
of".
Sure
enough,
no
fried
green
tomatoes,
amoung
other
things.
There
goes
the
highlight
of
the
trip
for
my
wife.
We
do
order
and
most
of
what
we
got
was
good.
I
was
a
little
disappointed
in
the
hamburger
as
was
over
cooked
and
had
little
flavor.
As
we
ate,
we
noticed
they
were
putting
the
chairs
on
the
tables
and
turning
away
customers.
Seems
they
decided
to
close
because
had/were
running
out
of
supplies.
It's
possible
they
serve
good
food
when
they
have
the
proper
inventory.
They
opened
at
4:00,
just
to
close
at
4:10.
Hush
puppies,
fish
and
coleslaw
were
great.
