Beautiful place and amazing ride. The ride is reasonably priced and the duration is close to 30 mins. The train takes you through woods, old bridges, creeks all along the meramec river. Since the track is not a closed loop, The engine needs to be moved from front to back and vice versa to complete a ride, this movement causes a little delay but also provides an opportunity to take pictures. The ride would be much more beautiful during fall. Have fun !

The experience was excellent, very kind and knowledgeable staff. Everyone was about making the visit enjoyable. Mike was helpful with educating us in the history of the railroad. It a Sunday afternoon MUST for the whole family! Reservations are preferred! Close to the National Transportation Museum too! It was our parents 57th wedding anniversary this day. Thank you again the Boydโ€™s

I went here on a day date and it was a really fun and unique experience. I would definitely recommend people checking this out. It does seem a bit more like a family activity, but my partner and I were totally fine with being the only two adults without children.

We visited here because we are interested in large scale trains, specifically 12 inch rail size ones which this is. The railroad offers a great 2 mile round trip ride that lasts about 40 minutes. The scenery is lovely, there are high bluffs on one side and a river on the other. The people working there were all very nice and willing to share about the place and equipment. They run steam and diesel locomotives and were very accommodating when we wanted to ride behind the steam engine. I would highly recommend visiting here and taking a ride. Quite the fun experience.

It was such a blast!! The scenery on the ride was incredible and getting to see a couple albino deer! Most importantly my babies LOVED it!! And the workers were incredibly friendly and very informative.

Beautiful 20min. Train ride. Run by lovely people. It is the place to go with your little one if they are into trains.
