DELICIOUS. Bruh how many stars can I give this place? We came in expecting an average American diner but we were BLOWN AWAY. Is this what a gourmet diner experience is?!?! This felt like a fancy restaurant mastering the art of diner food. The food tastes homemade. Every single thing we got was 1) enormous and 2) delicious. I felt like Guy Fieri had personally manifested this Googie beauty and dropped it into easily walkable Wildwood. For example the waffle fries were perfectly baked, creating a mashed potato inside with crunchy outside😍 and they were perfectly salted and so addicting to eat...same with the fried fish! Our waiter had a sense of humor while also being very polite and soft-spoken; he was so genuine and kind. The hostess was very welcoming and understanding. Meal by meal breakdown...My mom was blown away by the freshness of the chicken soup (she said it had a grandma's-cooking feel to it). My dad always orders fish and chips on vacation, so he is our control group, and he too was highly impressed, saying this take on the dish was something sensational. Lastly I got the Shrimp Diavolo and man, they gave me a portion that could easily feed a family of 5. Afterwards I had to take it to the motel fridge in a box and I was emotional that I couldn't finish it all. Honestly I even felt that way during the meal...I was sad that I was getting full! Long story short, this place NAILED it. 10/10. The photos don't do it enough justice, it was AMAZING! Couldn't have been better, from the presentation to the chefs to the staff. Next time we're in Wildwood, we're going here for breakfast!

This place was amazing! Great atmosphere, friendly servers. The food comes out in large portions. If you haven't been you need to! I got the honey fried chicken comes with waffle fries, Cole slaw, and choice of soup or salad and also dessert! Check out the pictures of how big the portions were. One of the BEST chicken I've had!

Went here on 7-30-22 at around 7pm. It wasn’t to crowded. We ordered homemade mozzarella with marinara sauce to start. When they came out we were amazed on how big they were. We are used to the mozzarella sticks. They taste so good! I definitely recommend these to start! I decided to get the chicken cesar wrap with fries and a pickle. The cesar wrap was the best that I had while in Wildwood. Plenty of chicken, dressing and lettuce throughout the wrap. The fries were cooked and seasoned perfectly as well! Service was great! I definitely recommend Marvis Dinner while in Wildwood!

Here is my honest review: The soups are small and disappointing. Just a few spoon fulls to finish the whole thing and is not priced accordingly. Extremely limited menu that is oddly confusing. I found myself reading it over and over, unable to make sense of it. It was certainly not user friendly. The person I came to Marvis with was very upset with their food. They said "what I had ordered is not what is described", although I have never had it before. This place needs some changes. I would start with adding better soups. Also list the soups on the menu and give the option for a cup or a bowl. None of this is described and there is no sign at the door stating the soup of the day regardless of the fact that none of them are listed on the menu. A good diner needs a broad range of homemade soups with bigger portions. Next add more burgers and sandwich options along with classic American diner meals. There is no bacon cheese burger(diner classic) but instead they have some strange jalapeno and other toppings that do not go well together. The thing that bothered me the most was the fact that most of the sandwiches and burgers were not offered with french fries and Cole slaw/pickle. This is mandatory in a successful American diner. There is a standard with diners and Marvis does not meet that standard. It is well below the bar. Please hear my advice and make some changes. I would love to try your place again if you do. Thank you for reading.

Usually stop in here whenever we are in Wildwood. Only there for Labor Day Weekend this time...and we brought our dogs! So, we stopped for Take Out breakfast on the day we left (as the dogs were with us). Delicious as usual.. but missed rhe dining experience. 🍽 😕

I visited the Marvis Diner for dinner then breakfast the next day. The staff was great I had my two little dogs with me and the waitress did her best to make my life easier. I thought the breakfast was fabulous!! Everything was great. The toast, over easy eggs, coffee and pancakes were quite tasty. You would think it’s hard to make eggs taste better then what they are, but here they found a way. Prices were a little high, but it is what it is. With inflation and wildwood being a beach town what do you expect?

Great Diner! Extremely friendly staff! Jill, our waitress, was great with the kids. Food was timely prepared and tasted great. Proportions were just right for the price. Plenty of seating inside and outside. We look forward to coming back the next time we're in Wildwood!

I visited this diner for the first time on 9/19/20. The atmosphere was nice. I love the location. The food was very good & reasonably priced. Service was great. I gave 4 stars because they were only accepting cash on that day. I missed the handwritten sign on the door & my server told us about it AFTER we had finished eating!! I told her we should have been told about 'cash only' before we ordered. She said "There is a sign on the door!". My daughters & I clearly saw that she got an attitude - it was in the tone of her voice & in her facial expression. We've eaten out countless times & at many different places. We usually are treated with kindness no matter the situation. In spite of this incident I do plan to return here.

After having so much seafood we decided to take a break and have a nice homemade meal. This place was what my family and i were looking for. Everything we ordered was great, fresh ingredients and the flavors, from the chicken and pasta soup to the turkey dinner and the chicken parmesan. Everything was great. Good portions and everything was super tasty. So far i can say with confidence that this place has the best chicken soup i've ever had in a dinner in the whole state of NJ. Also the service was great. The only issue I had was with the restrooms which need a little bit of attention. But apart from that this place didn't disappointed us the 2 times we went. Highly recommended.

Everything was delicious and giant! Pancakes bigger than your head, huge bowls of amazing home fries, fresh fruit yogurt bowls and quart sized Mason jars of cold brew coffee. Staff was friendly and super efficient. They have the system down. Food arrived quickly, hot and correct. First time here but will not be our last.

1960s themed diner with rather tired decor. Would look better if they got rid of the plastic palm trees. The place was near empty on Friday night of a holiday weekend. We had the crab cake sandwich with a side order of French fries. The crab cake was small, edible, but not great. The slice of tomato was clearly greenhouse grown. How can a restaurant in New Jersey not find locally grown Jersey tomatoes at the end of August? However, the sauce that accompanied the sandwich was surprisingly good. The bottom of the bun was so hard from being on the grill, I could barely bite through it. The French fries were fresh and hot, pretty good. My partner had the Greek gyro. Portion was nice, with ingredients very nicely arranged on the platter, and extra pita bread was provided upon request. However, the lamb was so overlooked he had to send it back. The replacement lamb was prepared much better. We took the overcooked lamb home for our pets. Even they wouldn't touch it. I give the restaurant credit for trying to make things right by replacing the overcooked lamb. But the food just wasn't that good. We won't be going back.

My guy and I went to this amazing diner in Wildwood for brunch. The ambiance was so summery and beach like. The food was delicious and the staff was very friendly. I had a crab cake on a roll with fries and a glass of delicious lemonade. My guy had a burger and fries. Our server was very attentive and pleasant. I'm sorry I forgot her name (server) I usually write down the names becauseI like to do reviews. I would definitely recommend this diner for a nice meal and good ol friendly hospitality. The parking was a little tight but everything was great.

This place was absolutely amazing! We got seated right away on a Saturday during lunch, which was great, we sat outside, and it was really nice out. The servers were very attentive, and you could tell that it was very well staffed. I don't think we waited more than 10 minutes for 3 meals it was very quick. I ordered the Boom Boom burger, and I can't even describe how delicious this burger was. It had avocado on it (I know some people won't like that but it was small very thin slices and didn't takeaway from the burger itself at all) a few other things I think like onions cheddar and a house made spicy mayo that really pulled this whole burger together. My girlfriend got an omelet, not sure which one, but I tried that as well and it was delicious. it was also massive, she didn't finish it. It took up half her plate. Well worth every penny, this will be our go-to spot when we're down there.

Walked in with the family at about dinner time on a Friday and was seated immediately, asked to sit outside and was directed to 1 of their 2 outdoor seating areas. Weather was beautiful and the food matched. We all got a different burger and my daughter who is a sort of burger connoisseur said it was "AMAZING". and the fries were better than our normal Friday spot at home. Staff were very polite and available when needed. If not for the portion sizes we would have had room to try the deserts available. Will most definitely be back and will have to try the breakfast.

They served a massive quantity of food. If you have a big appetite, this is the place for you. The waffle fries were the best I ever had, perfectly crispy inside and out. Great spot if you're in Wildwood.

Perfect beach dinner food is superb. Huge portions so come hungry. Wait staff friendly and quick. Of in the area must come. Be prepared to eat as most fo sone doggy nag. Best hashbriwbs ever. Pits waffle house to shame. See Pic. Popularity could cause a wait on popular mornings but worth it

from first glance, the menu and the interior design is super cute! we got seated right away at a booth i got a chicken salad wrap while the second person in our group got the crab cake sandwich. i did NOT expect the portions to be that big because i was used to big prices and small portions, but this is good because i got my money’s worth. ended up not being able to finish the fries but that’s okay, it’s for another meal at home. the servers were attentive and kind, and i personally loved the texture of the fries. overall i highly recommend this diner for a quick bite and something worth your money! (ps the picture is after i ate half of my wrap, there are 2 sides!)

The best breakfast food. We come here past 5 years every Labor Day weekend.

  • 4/5 Megan G. 7 months ago on Google
We ordered the Philadelphia skillet no peppers, extra crispy scrapple and the new jersey classic sandwich. The Philadelphia skillet was bland and mushy. The hashbrowns were fresh but mushy, the onions were undercooked, the scrapple was extra fat and regular crispy, with bachemal sauce even though it was advertised as cheddar cheese. The service was amazing and the atmosphere was great. I would want to come try lunch, but breakfast was a no go. Suggestions for the chef: crispy scrapple should be flattened and not mushy. It should bring the texture to the skillet along.

Even though I only came here to pick up pancakes and bacon for my daughter everyday for my step daughter while we were staying in Wildwood Crest this year I must say I was very impressed by Marvis Diner. The food was very tasty the establishment was clean the staff was friendly I did not have to wait long and when they said on the phone the food would be done in 10 minutes it was exactly what they said 10 minutes. The Admiral's Table used to be our go to spot for picking up our breakfast cause of it's close enough to walk to from our hotel (The Biscayne) but I must say Marvis is our new spot. I do not mind driving as long as the food is good and here the food is GREAT! Looks like Marvis has the new title of best breakfast in our book. I'm only sorry that we did not try them for anything else or any other meals. Well Next time most definitely we will. Keep up the great work Marvis. You have gained a new and highly satisfied customer! 👍👍👍

Good diner food. Large portions. Decent prices. Fed a family of 5 for $110. Not as crowded as other wildwood spots. Currently no indoor dining, but plenty of outdoor dining.

This is the best place to eat in Wildwood. Breakfast lunch and dinner are all done well here. Tonight three of us had the turkey dinner Thanksgiving style with stuffing mashed potatoes that are homemade and cranberry sauce it did not disappoint in anyway. My other daughter had spaghetti and meatballs. Everything was delicious. Service was also spot on and extremely friendly.

Food was good. Prices great. Only wish they didnt sit all the people with kids out near the dumpster. Aside from the fact that a family near us had a kid that wouldn't shut up and sit down (he was at least 9 years old and a whiney brat) we enjoyed our dinner.

Food was amazing! HUGE portions, very friendly staff, delicious food. Very reasonably priced for the amount of food you get. We all left with very full bellies! Only gripe(and it's a small "inconvenience" at that) is it was cash only. Not a big deal but be prepared just in case when you arrive to pay cash. Would recommend to anyone looking for delicious food for a good price!

  • 4/5 Heather M. 3 years ago on Google
Food was good. Everything was cooked to perfection. Our waitress was friendly and accommodating. I really liked the sparkly booths and the decor. The restaurant was clean. Outside seating is available. Prices are a bit higher than a typical diner; however, considering this is at the beach and most customers are probably on vacation, I don't think the prices were too expensive. If you're not willing to spend a little bit more on vacation, don't go on vacation! 😉 We only ate here once, so I can only rate based on this one experience. But we had a good meal and a nice time, so I'd recommend it.
