Fantastic authentic 60’s diner with original decor! The wait staff was funny and the owners even came out to check on us. Excellent breakfast with some unique menu items and classic faves! We will be back!

My family has been going to the Wildwoods since I was a kid. I have continued it with my family, but this past weekend was our first time here. Customer Service 100%, also having the cook come out and check on us as well, that was awesome. I honestly can't recall eating at any diner recently and having the cook also see how you're doing. We will definitely make this a tradition to come eat there every year we come to visit.

Surfside West is the nemesis of very other breakfast spot in Wildwood because their breakfast is so delicious and their service so superior that you don't want to eat anywhere else. I had the seasonal cherry pancakes and they were phenomenal. Another in my party had the crab manchego omelet, which came with a crispy potato ball on the side - divine. Don't miss out. I hear their top-notch pumpkin pancakes will be back for Labor Day.

Food and service were both excellent. As a kid in the sixties we always went to the surf side where we were greeted by the owner Tommy an given paper pirate masks. Always great memories.

Service was great. Our waitress was super nice and friendly. We went there because had good reviews but wouldn’t come back food didn’t taste good not even the orange juice.

Been here a few yrs ago. Went again today. Food was good. Dishes we got said they came with home fries. They did but about 2 tablespoons worth. Also, none of the breakfasts come with beverages including coffee or tea. Cost $3.50 for coffee!!!! We will probably go again but get water with meal and grab coffee at Wawa on way home! $37.00 for breakfast is a bit much!

This diner was super cute, like going back in time to a 60's type diner down the Jersey Shore. Food was great and the service was extraordinary! The owner even came out and said hello to everyone and asked how everyone 's food was. A definite stop for sure. Will definitely go back when I'm down the shore!

Dismal. The staff was milling around jabber jawing up front around the cashier area the whole time we were there. Didn't present the atmosphere of being in a professional establishment. When we came in to sit down, we passed right in front of the person who turned out to be our server. Although she wasn't busy with another customer, because we were two of three there at the time, it took her another 5 minutes to finish conversing and come to give us menus and see what we needed. When we finally got our food, it was mediocre at best. One and done with this restaurant.

I eat here once or twice a summer. The food is always fantastic. The service is excellent. It’s a meticulously maintained diner in the style of a 50’s diner. Every time I’ve eaten here the owner has come out of the kitchen and checked that everything was satisfactory. I wish I could rate it higher than 5 stars.

Wanted a nice breakfast so we decided to go with Surfside….worst idea I could have came up with. We spent $36 to get flimsy scrapple, cold chipped beef, and a sprinkle of a side of homefries. I would include being shorted a pancake, but they believe that a short stack of pancakes is two and “that’s why it’s called a short-stack”. Lady who looks like a Karen is disrespectful. Threw $10 at me and walked away and I told her no and she repeated it like I was stupid when we brought back a whole take out order we didn’t eat. Talks to you like you’re not human and sits on a high horse. Take your business to Brandon’s down the street. This is our food when we got home. You could have at least cooked the chocolate chips in the pancakes.

The hostess who greeted us was the best part of our experience. We ordered a chorizo omelet. We got a pepperoni and Motz cheese omelet. Our hostess seemed overwhelmed and also seemed to forget she had us. Our corner table. 44 buck ticket that wasn’t worth it. I wish we went ANYWHERE else. I rarely complain but come on. Do better.

Had breakfast there. Nice family owned. They also have a section of summer toys, etc. The food wasn't bad, I've had better. The menu needs updating as the owner told me it was an old menu and to just add a dollar to everything. That put me off a bit.

Authentic, retro diner with great food, fair prices, and excellent staff. They came back several times during our meal to make sure everything was good and to keep filling our mugs with delicious free coffee! Definitely recommend and would go again.

I went to Wildwood for a few days back in September and I came across this diner when looking for a place for breakfast. This place has the most outstanding service I have ever had. Everyone is so warm and friendly that you don't feel like a tourist. I got the special which was the pumpkin pancakes....Best pancakes EVER!!! The next day I went back for the ricotta pancakes and they were as equally great. This place is phenomenal. I wish I wasn't three hours away....I would go everyday!!!

Like you stepped back in time! Everyone is very pleasant. Food is especially the ricotta 🥞. We loved the Surfside Dinner and definitely recommend stopping by for breakfast.

This was our last stop before heading back home from our first trip together to Wildwood. I had the chorizo omelette with tomatillo sauce. My husband had the hangover bowl. They were so delicious. Even the toast, especially the sourdough toast was lovely. I appreciated the portion sizes, which weren't too big but also not too small. Coffee's great, too! Great way to end the trip!

I have been going to surfside west for 20 years. I have never had a bad meal or experienced anything less than amazing hospitality. The breakfast menu is creative and delicious. The ricotta pancakes with blueberries, the hangover which is hash browns topped with cream chip beef and a perfectly cooked runny egg, the potato pancakes with the creamy horseradish sauce. All of it is perfectly executed and the owner Mike is super friendly. Love surfside west. They are doing it right. Bravo !!
