Can understand why this practice is so busy and unable to take new clients...... My daughter was rushed there today by her Grandparents after having febrile convulsion..... none of us had ever been there before including her Grandparents, yet the quality care we received was fantastic! Everyone from the ladies in reception the Docter and special thanks to the Nurse. It was nice to have a "Great Experience" out of something so frightening.

I called up this practice to book an urgent appointment and was booked in for a Telehealth consult with a doctor at 3pm. Then at 3pm I receive a call from the receptionist saying that her colleague had made a 'mistake' and overbooked. She then asked if I could come in to the practice before 4pm to see the doctor as they were apparently "booked up and very busy". So I rushed to get there as soon as I could. When I got there the practice was empty and the two reception ladies were sitting there casually chatting without their masks on. You would imagine that being a clinic, COVID precautions and safety measures would be taken seriously here. However, the receptionists and phlebotomist were roaming around the clinic without masks on. One of the ladies was having a cold (hopefully not COVID) and she still did not have the common sense to put her mask on while there was a patient in the clinic. I also overheard her speaking to one of their doctors on the phone who had called to inform the receptionist that her husband had tested positive for COVID and that she needs to reschedule all her appointments for that week while she isolated. Hearing that made me even more uncomfortable about being there and I would have walked out if it wasn't urgent that I saw the doctor. The whole experience was so unprofessional and uncomfortable. Their practice and standards go against health and safety regulations that are set by the Government during a time like this, and they are recklessly putting their patient's health at risk. The doctor that I saw, Dr Khoo, did not help me feel any better about the practice at all. He was so cold and uninterested about the issue that brought me in, and his response to all my concerns was "just monitor it and come back if symptoms worsen". He barely made eye contact with me throughout the consult. The only thing that he did which I was happy about was check my range of motion. If a patient tells you that they had a sudden pain onset of 8/10 in their back, it would be comforting to the patient if you ordered further tests/scans and investigate the issue more. He could clearly see that I was unsatisfied with the answers he was giving me, but it just seemed like he had no idea what to do. I will definitely not be attending this practice again and will ensure none of my friends or family innocently put their health at risk here. It was a waste of my time rushing there in time for the appointment, then waiting 30 mins to see the doctor. After all this, just to go home and feel no better about my concerns.

Dr Geethapriya is a gentle, thorough and compassionate Dr. She has been phenomenal in supporting me as her patient and she takes the time to listen and understand all issues without judgement.

An extra star because the receptionists were amazing, so friendly and helpful. Unfortunately, the same cannot be said for the doctor. I took my son in because of a spot on his face, the doctor did not properly check the area or ask questions to ascertain what the issue might be. Instead he told me to put moisturiser on the spot and wrote me a script in case that didn’t work. How do you write a script if you don’t know what the issue is? The next day I took him to a pharmacist who could immediately tell me what the problem was. Needless to say, I won’t be returning.

Myself and my family all see Dr Dina at Amherst Medical Centre. We have the utmost respect and trust in Dr Dina. She's thorough and has been a great support over the years. She also has a warm bedside manner and you can't help but walk out with a smile on your face no matter what. Best GP I've ever had.

Very unprofessional and impolite receptionist. I was asking question when I came in, haven’t finished my sentence yet and they interrupted and answered something not relevant to what I was asking.

Unfortunately we had to insist on a throat swab for our 9 month old after the doctor sent him home twice. After we got the results the doctor prescribed only one dose of antibiotics with no follow up. We repeated this process after he did not get better; we were not contacted with the new results. We decided to go elsewhere and received proper care. Unfortunately this practice has variable levels of care. I will not going back......10 weeks and 5 visits with a baby who got sicker.....need I say more!!

The doctor is lovely and knowledgeable but found it uncomfortable that the receptionists were all wearing their masks under their chin.

I have been a patient here for years. This is my favourite Doctor's surgery. The staff are very helpful, friendly, and go out of their way to help. The Doctor's especially Dr Shunmugam are very understanding and do their best to help you with any conditions you may have. The nurse is wonderful too, and so is the nurse that takes your blood. I highly recommend Banksia grove family practice, its simply the best, otherwise I would have gone else where years ago.

😠 I would recommend changing most of your reception staff, except for one particular lady whose name I'm unaware of, but she's fair and wears glasses. She's the only pleasant and courteous individual among them. Unfortunately, the rest of the receptionists treat patients poorly. Our decision to visit...
