Once in a while the stars of good food are aligned. This is an amazing place. Not only the food is good but the staff is amazing. Our server Laura was exceptional with service and advice she made the food taste better. Finally the desert Dark chocolate pudding was in a class by itself. Thank you Laura for making our night special and something good to remember. .

We stopped in Amber Ox for brunch and it was delicious! We did make a reservation and good thing because they were busy. The customer service was outstanding and the atmosphere was amazing. Drinks and food were fantastic. Highly recommend you stop by.

Excellent meal in a beautiful restaurant. Our server was super sweet too. My nephew said she was the best server he's ever had. Lol Everything was wonderfully tasty. I especially enjoyed the shrimp and grits but my salmon was delicious as well. The octopus appetizer was yummy and everyone enjoyed the biscuit board but I wish the biscuits were not so hard. Cocktails were really good too. I would definitely recommend eating here. Oh, great fries too!

My partner and I had a good time here. This place offers quite interesting options on cocktails. The server knows their dishes well. We expressed our food preference. The server gave us some recommendations and we liked the food he mentioned! We also really like the lighting here, not too dark, not too bright. Great for the holiday season.

Party of 4 tourists on a Friday night. My friends had been here before but it was my first experience. And it was an AMAZING experience. Every bite of every step of the meal was astoundingly good. Our waiter Brendan was the most attentive I've ever met, and a great personality too. In fact, everyone we interacted with was so pleasant. You can really tell that the employees love their jobs and the company makes it a great place for them to work. The decor is lovely too. Just all around the best dining experience I've had in ages!

We did dinner here on our anniversary trip. It came recommended by tons of locals. The food was out of this world. They use a ton of local fresh farm to table ingredients. There’s even a wall that tells you what comes from each local farm. The atmosphere is stellar! If you want somewhere to relax/unwind, get a cocktail, and eat from an always changing menu. You’ve found the perfect spot. Couldn’t recommend enough!

If I could give more than 5 stars, I would.. on a scale of 1-5, this place is easily a 50. From the hand crafted drinks to the ridiculously fresh and delicious food, this place is amazing. You can tell the chef is passionate about creating unique and tasty at meals. And the mixologist- a damn magician. We are not from the area but have travelled to VA just to come to Amber Ox. Lindsay was our server tonight and was an absolute delight. She genuinely enjoys talking with everyone and was so sweet and attentive. She gave awesome recommends for food and drinks and didn’t steer us wrong. The table next to us also enjoyed their food so much they asked to speak with the chef. He came out and chatted with everyone for awhile. Super awesome experience. Will always come back here whenever we are in the area.

Lovely, farm to table. Everything was delicious except the salad there wasn't enough there to warrant the price and a bit wilted. But mushroom toast was fabulous and the chicken wings good etc. Also didn't like that they put the gratuity in for you so you don't have a choice if you had a bad server which we didn't but she would have had a larger tip had they not predetermined what we should pay. All in all great time just stay away from the salad
