My
family
has
stayed
at
the
Aldrich
House
B&B
-
Tom
and
Sue
Patton's
home
-
for
over
10
years.
They
are
warm
and
welcoming
hosts
who
make
every
effort
to
accommodate
travelers'
needs.
As
long-time
residents,
they
are
also
especially
knowledgeable
about
the
Williamsburg-Jamestown-Yorktown
area.
Tom
worked
for
Historic
Jamestown
in
years
past
and
is
currently
writing
an
historical
novel
about
the
area.
Their
home
is
a
comfortable,
smaller
B&B
located
less
than
a
5-minute
walk
from
Colonial
Williamsburg.
It
features
3
guest
rooms,
as
well
as
lovely
common
areas
for
lounging,
reading,
and
meeting
fellow
travelers.
Because
we
usually
travel
with
our
adult
daughter,
we
stay
in
the
spacious
Anderson
Room
on
the
second
floor,
which
features
two
king
beds,
a
large
chest
of
drawers,
a
clothes
closet,
a
writing
desk,
two
comfortable
wing
chairs,
a
large
bench,
and
a
private
bath
with
a
shower/tub
combination.
It's
a
great
place
to
relax
after
a
day
of
walking
through
the
Historic
District.
Members
of
my
family
have
also
stayed
in
the
other
two
rooms
and
found
both
of
them
to
be
very
comfortable.
This
is
a
B&B
that
lets
guests
choose
their
level
of
sociability.
The
rooms
offer
privacy
and
are
great
places
to
put
one's
feet
up
and
relax.
If
feeling
sociable,
the
spacious
living
room
at
the
back
of
the
house
is
a
lovely
place
to
congregate
while
waiting
for
breakfast
or
just
to
share
conversations
with
other
guests.
The
last
two
times
we
have
stayed
there,
we
met
European
travelers
-
a
couple
from
England
and
one
from
Italy.
With
only
three
guest
rooms
and
a
limited
number
of
guests,
it's
easy
to
fall
into
interesting
conversations.
The
best
thing
I
can
say
about
the
Aldrich
House
is
that
it's
our
home
away
from
home
while
in
Williamsburg.
We
never
fail
to
come
home
-
relaxed
and
refreshed
-
and
ready
to
plan
our
next
visit.
