We visited Williamsburg the first week of December for 3 nights and had a fantastic time! The B&B was very comfortable - definitely all we needed, and more! We enjoyed our time visiting with Ike, who was fun to talk to and very helpful. The kitchen crew was super-accommodating and easily met my special dietary needs without fuss. The Christmas trees and other decorations put us in the holiday spirit! While the location was a bit further from Colonial Williamsburg than we expected (a 20 min walk), we had no problem driving and finding parking. We can't wait to return!

We stayed there this past weekend. The house was nice, and Stephanie's breakfast was amazing. The iusses we had were related to them not honoring our reservation. We had reserved the Lord Nelson Chamber, but were put in a room that was not even listed on the website. The room we were put in didn't have a king bed or a jetted shower, and it was very noisy because it was right next to the dining room. I asked about why we were moved and was told the original room was under renovation, however, we learned that others were staying in that room. They offered to discount our room to compensate us for these things by 25%. Then, they took off 100 dollars which was less than 25% of the total rate. It seems like a nice place, however, we planned on celebrating my wife's birthday for the weekend, and this turned into a big disappointment.

Initially we had to cancel our registration due to Covid but they held our deposit and applied it without question to our stay last week. The house is not historic but was lovely and the guests are trusted with use of the entire first floor: several sitting rooms, the dining area, kitchen and a basement large screen TV area. We stayed two nights. Breakfast was served buffet style with one dining table. Everything was delicious and the grits on day two were excellent! Located near the campus of William and Mary University, it was a short drive to Colonial Williamsburg.

We had a great stay this past weekend at the Williamsburg Sampler B&B. First, the breakfast is outstanding. We ate so much food each morning that we didn't need lunch. The chef was very friendly and accommodating, and also provided good recommendations for where to eat and things to do. You can walk to William & Mary, and Colonial Williamsburg is about a mile away, so the location is very convenient. We stayed in the Captain John Smith Suite - I definitely recommend paying the extra money for a suite if they are available. It's quite a bit more space than the regular rooms. The King William Suite has a larger bathroom, so we'd probably choose that one next time. There was plenty of common space in the house, as well as coffee, tea, and sodas. Lots of interesting antiques, and nicely appointed. The owner was friendly and responsive, as well. We would absolutely stay here again the next time we are in town!

We stayed here in April. The owners and their staff were friendly and helpful. It is a beautiful home. Our room was the Lord Nelson room and it was clean, nicely decorated, and the bed was comfortable. The check in and out was very easy. Breakfast was delicious. They were doing some remodeling so things were set up a little differently than they normally would be, but that was no problem for us. We would definitely stay here again.

My Cousin and I stayed here at the end of October 2022. The B & B was so cozy with many works of art displayed throughout the house. We felt like we were living in a museum, with so much historical art surrounding us! We loved it! Stephanie, our host, made dilly (delicious) gourmet breakfasts to start our full days of sightseeing. She was very accommodating and suggested several wonderful tours. The rooms were beautifully appointed and the bed was very comfortable. The house and grounds were immaculate, not a dust bunny anywhere! Thank you so much, Stephanie, for making our trip so memorable. We can't wait to come back!!! Trish & Cindy

We recently stayed at the Williamsburg Sampler for three wonderful nights. This is a fantastic Bed and Breakfast located very close to William and Mary, Colonial Williamsburg and many other attractions. We stayed in the Captain John Smith Suite which was extremely comfortable. Ike is a great host and gave us a nice tour of his home. His granddaughter, Carter, made us a great breakfast each morning. We had great conversations with all of the other guests each morning at breakfast. We look forward to returning soon.

My wife and I had an incredible experience during our two day stay. The staff was very friendly and hospitable, breakfast was amazing, 24-hour access to the coffee machine came in clutch and the room was overwhelmingly beautiful. We unfortunately ran into some issues on the second day, But the management did a great job rectifying the situation and addressing our concerns. We definitely look forward to our next visit to Williamsburg and would absolutely recommend this bed and breakfast to anyone looking for a great experience.
