Wanted to surprise my husband to a quick and cheap weekend to the Ark Exhibit and The Sunrise Inn helped me do that comfortably. The hotel is older, the furniture has seen "newer" days, but the bed was comfortable and clean. Bright white linens that aren't the quality I use at home but aren't terrible by any means. Our bathroom was spotless and we had a very peaceful night's sleep. Plus, they're pet friendly so my sweet Australian Shepherd Levi had a nice sleep on the floor. Desk clerk is very friendly and helpful, needs a raise!

Is a very nice little motel. Very close & convenient to The Ark which was what we were looking for. Rooms very clean & comfortable. Beds were very good. Was disappointed in the soap for the shower is all I can think of. Think you need to have a dispenser for soap, shampoo & conditioner in the shower. That is all I can think of. Your price was very reasonable.

Sunrise Inn was a good place to stay for my family since it was right next to where we were going (Ark Encounter). The rooms are a little pricey for what you get; they could use some upgrades but they were clean and bug free. Bathrooms could use an upgrade as well, but they were clean and bug free as well. There are no phones in the rooms in case you need to call the front desk. Beds were clean and comfortable. I'm not sure about how comfortable the pillows were because we brought our own. Overall, we were satisfied with our stay (besides very noisy neighbors, but that isn't the Inn's fault!)

We chose this motel because it had decent reviews and pictures, and all we really needed was a clean place to stay (nothing fancy). Unfortunately, while our beds (we had two rooms; we were traveling with our mother) were clean and sufficiently comfortable, the rest of the rooms were not. For example, we had to wear socks when walking around the rooms because the floors were so dirty (our socks were black after a one-night stay). All in all, the rooms were dingy and worn. Definitely not worth the $150/night/room we paid. I rated service a 3 because both times we went in the office (check-in and check-out), no staff member was present and we had to wait several minutes for them to return. Otherwise, they were friendly and helpful. If we visit the Ark again, we will just pay a higher price to stay at the Hampton Inn.

The people working there were wonderful. Manager and on down! Wasn’t clean enough. They immediately fixed that. There was no public space to sit with family. Room had only one chair. So we had five people and no where to play cards and chat. Too much furniture in room. They had a list of restaurants for delivery. That was thoughtful. The food was good. The pick up breakfast was good. No variety. Same food everyday. We were there three nights. Bed was comfortable. Not enough receptacles for chargers and breathing machines. Things I loved and disliked. Hence the three stars. We were there last week.

Overall not a bad place. The rooms were clean. The water was hot and plenty of pressure. The only draw back for us was the bed. It was hard and felt like sleeping on a board. Convenient to the Ark. Friendly staff. Would have preferred an actual breakfast and not a bagged one. It had an egg and sausage sandwich which needed to be heated in the microwave, a muffin, juice box and an apple. Probably better just not to offer any kind of breakfast. But over all it was convenient for a trip to the Ark and the Creation museum.

The floor was filthy. My socks were literally black on the bottoms. The toilet had junk around the bottom of it. The shower worked but I took a quick one just to get out of it. The chair at the desk had a lever to raise it but it wasn't in working order & the seat was way too low to be useful. There was coffee available in the room & the coffee maker was fine. The bed was comfortable and the sheets were clean but I wouldn't trust the bed spread. The pillows are tiny square things; my head kept rolling off.The walls were gross with a slap of paint to say it was renovated. I gave it 2 stars because of the location which was great for our visit to the Ark and the room had a hair dryer & coffee maker. We couldn't leave to find room somewhere else because of the high cost of a hotel room somewhere else and another place had worse reviews than this one. It's beyond my comprehension why owners don't take the time to clean up their rooms & show some pride in their property.

Rooms were extremely unsanitary. The bed we had (including comforter, pillows, sheets) was covered in short black hairs that we assumed were dog hairs. After we realized this, we quickly asked the attendant to give us new bedding. We told them we would be leaving for a couple of hours so they could come in and change them for us. When we came back, we saw they simply sat all of it on a couch, and upon inspection, we could see it too was covered in short black hairs. Not wanting to ask again because they clearly don't wash anything, we ended up buying a sheet at Walmart to cover the bed and used the small blankets we brought with us. The bedding wasn't the only thing left unclean. The floor was filthy, and the bathroom tub and towels had hair on them as well. The temperature of the shower also changed from freezing to scolding hot in seconds without being adjusted. There was dirt or bugs (?) in the light in the bathroom that was falling into the tub. A couple of the lamps in our room also didn't work right. The outlets attached to the lamps didn't work at all. The TV did work and had a few channels you could flip through. In addition, the "complimentary breakfast" was a brown bag with a frozen jimmy Dean sausage sandwich with a muffin and apple (we were told because of renovations). The only pluses were that the workers were friendly and the location was great for going to the ark. Overall, I would not recommend going to this hotel.

We stayed for a week. It's located directly across the street from the Ark Encounter & right off the highway that takes you everywhere here. It's clean, nicely furnished, room has a Kurig, microwave & fridge; staff are friendly and helpful & offer a good breakfast bag in lieu of dining. It's not fancy or upscale but definitely more than adequate. I recommend it. We will return.

This hotel is very clean, and they take pride in their work. I tell you, the room we stayed in was very clean; even the sheets were bleached! I love the old-fashion with the modern. And yes, I geek out over the Keurig! The staff was very friendly and outgoing. Just gotta put anti-slip on the tub floor, as that could prevent slippage. Let the sun rise on your stay here at Sunrise Hotel!

The hotel staff was extremely helpful and so nice. The room was very clean and comfortable. We had a small dog and they gave us a room close to the grass. Coffee pot and refrigerator in the room with a microwave were a big plus.we were very impressed how they made us feel. We will come back.

I’m not sure how to say this, but first appearances are “creepy doll” vibes, which I love because it’s far from “creepy doll” at all. These rooms have a modern cottage feel and look. They’re very cozy and quite clean. You can tell a lot has been renovated/updated and it’s very cute and beautiful. Pet friendly, toddler safe and definitely worth stopping in. Room 102 has a vent in the bathroom but no switch for it (it wasn’t a problem, we just couldn’t leave the door open for it to air out because our toddler plays in toilets) but eventually the moisture is going to ruin the tiles and I just wanted to mention it in case nobody noticed.

I really appreciate Regina. She made me feel so welcome. She also explained greatly to all questions I asked, made sure my husband and l had everything we needed. Rooms were great. The room was expertly clean. Miss Susan is a nice lady also . I was totally happy with the coffee in my room and the breakfast. Safety was great. Well lighted area. Thank you for the stay. It was a home away from home, can't wait to return. I give you a big 10. Thanks so much Regina

Staff was great, location to Ark Encounter was great. A little pricey since facility is aged (but kept clean). Rooms cozy though could use some dusting and light fixtures & bulbs could use some looking at.

Perfect location to see the Ark Encounter that is literally across the street which is why we were there. Room was clean, bed was really comfortable, staff was great. Loved the light on the faucet, never saw that before. Also, pets are welcome in some rooms. Would certainly stay here again.

An older motel probably from the 70’s, but was very clean with a few updates, like vinyl plank flooring. Our room and lobby needs remodeling, but was sufficient and safe. Walked across the highway to the Ark Encounter, which saved $15 parking fee. Offered only a “take to your room breakfast biscuit and fruit bag”. They need a continental breakfast bar, but they had in room coffee maker and the room price was great so no complaints. We actually slept great, the bed and pillows were comfortable and clean. The a/c unit worked well and drowned out the sound of highway traffic like white noise. All in all a 3.5 to 4 star rating for us.

Disappointed. I changed my reservations at a nicer hotel because they claimed to have breakfast. They did not. They gave out a brown paper bag with a sandwich you had to take back to your room and a few other things. It is basically across from the ark. So that was nice. They are trying to better it, but they have a long way to go. The bed was awful, I barely slept. The sides of the bed were broken down, and needs to be replaced. Glad I brought my pillow. On the plus side, the water pressure in the shower was great.

This motel is located across the road from the ark encounter. It is within walking distance for healthy folks. Half the cost of the Hampton Inn. Our room was freshly painted. It was clean and had free wi-fi and cable TV. The bed was comfortable and we slept well. The breakfast was a bagged meal. A sausage croissant with juice and muffin. It was very tasty. Staff are friendly. We highly recommend this motel is you are visiting the ark.

The rooms need to have the bathrooms updated. I would not have used that shower/tub. The woodwork all needs to be re-done as it looked like odds and ends were used. The bed was fantastic, the rest of the room was good. Just that bathroom... ugh. The guy at the front desk was exceptionally nice and informative.

The door to our room had a 1 inch gap when closed. Anyone walking by could see in. The air vent in the bathroom was covered in dust. The lady in the office was not helpful at all when we asked about a shower seat but the cleaning lady was very helpful and got one for me. The only positives were the price and how close it is to the ark encounter. There were no choices for breakfast just sausage biscuit and an apple.

Location was great as it was right by the Ark Encounter which is why we stayed there. Rooms were 8.5/10 cleanliness. Carpenter ants were visible and sticky stuff in corners of rooms. Holes in doors and front door had a huge gap.

The room was clean. The bed was comfortable. Some of the other viewers have commented that the price is too high, all motel and hotel prices are way higher than you think they’re going to be! The desk clerk was very nice. This is a very basic place, and just fine for an overnight.

The room was very clean, the staff was friendly & helpful, and the breakfast provided was tasty! The inn was conveniently located across from the Ark Encounter and only 45 minutes from the Creation Museum, so I would definitely consider staying here again.

I was beyond pleased with this place to stay. The staff is amazing!! Our room was welcoming. It has everything you could need. My favorite part of this room was the beyond comfortable bed. The location was great considering we came here to see the Ark Encounter which is right down the street!!

To find a reasonable Price Hotel close to The ArkEncounter, meant we chose an older 2 star hotel. Our king room, with sofa was clean and comfortable! However, there were chips on the walls. A found a spider in the morning, and I killed, then left it on the sink counter. I believe they are "Trying" to improve the single story portion. Then hopefully they'll get the two story section up and running.

I was very pleased with the room. Clean, comfortable beds. No bugs which I always check for!! Quiet, and just across the road from The Ark. I absolutely loved the pillows, nice and firm and that's great for someone who's neck is fused. Breakfast is a brown bag but it was good. An egg, sausage, cheese croissant, a muffin, juice and apple. But don't go by the heating instructions for the croissant. It says 1:30 but since it's not frozen only heat for 1 minute or else the bread will get hard. We were happy with our stay. Staff was great. If I go to The Ark again, I will definitely stay here again.

The room smelled musty and pest control box full of insects by the door. Also, my daughter killed a couple of slug-like bugs in the bathroom. Bathroom shower looked & smelled dirty. Stains also on window shade. The only chair in the room had a large stain on the cushion. The room was gross so...I slept very little. I wish I could have left a better review. :(

Hotel room was clean and no bad smell. However the beds are smaller than queen size and mattresses are hard. We didn't like their breakfast. It was a breakfast bag with a few items in it. For the price we paid I was expecting better breakfast and at least normal size beds. I will not stay there again.
