This was such a wonderful salon, everybody is so helpful and kind! Eve went above and beyond with my balayage and cut, my hair hasn’t felt this good in a while! Love how it turned out so much!

Just came back from La Luma and it was completely wonderful! Went in for a cut, but didn’t want too much length off. Mallory listened to my very poorly described goals for my hair, and it came out even better than I expected or imagined. Such a good experience. Would highly recommend Mallory if you’re a person with curly hair, looking for a salon in Guelph that’s accessible and affordable.

While the allure of lower prices may initially attract, the end result may not meet your expectations. In my case, the quality of the($300+) cut and balayage did not justify the high cost, making it a buyer beware situation for anyone seeking top-notch styling and color services.

First time visiting La Luma. Mary did an excellent job cutting and styling my hair. I will definitely be back to La Luma and I highly recommend Mary as a stylist! And I absolutely love how Mary cut my bangs, first time I have ever said this!

I came in for my appointment today and I sat down and Hannah informed me she couldn’t do my hair because there wasn’t enough time! Why was my appointment scheduled in the first place then! Now I’m left without my hair done and have to wait several week for an available appointment elsewhere. Please sort out your booking system so others aren’t turned away as I was!

Today I had the opportunity to meet Jacob! What can I say, besides how awesome my appointment went :) Was a last minute decision to schedule me in, but as always the staff here are amazing! Jacob is very knowledgeable, attentive, listens very well, flexible and very welcoming. I can never really relax in the chair to have my hair washed by anyone, but he managed to get this time, to forget my "work mode" and relax and enjoy the scalp 💆‍♂️. Afterwards, the process of blow drying technique was great and the style of my waves/curls... love them. Thank you Jacob! You are off to a great career and passion for what you do! Sincerely A.

My friend recommended La Luma and I ended up booking a haircut with Isabelle, one of the students there. She was very receptive to what I wanted done with my hair and was able to make it happen. It was the first time I got an undercut and she was great about getting my input so it turned out how I wanted. Also, she consulted with her lead to confirm she was doing it right, which I really appreciated and I thought it was cool to be a part of the learning experience. All the other staff were really nice and supportive of each other and the space is well-maintained. I will definitely go back there for my next cut.

This was a great experience. My sister and I got our hair cut. Our hairdressers were very professional and interacted with their instructor who was just lovely. I feel confident I have found people who know how to cut curly hair. Thanks so much. I will be back.

Mallory was so wonderful! I was very vague about what I wanted done with my hair and she was super helpful in finding a style that suited my hair and goals. I have struggled to find a stylist that actually listens to my goals and is able to help me execute it without also being judgemental about my wants, but Mallory made the visit very comfortable and was able to bring my vision to fruition. She also took the time to help teach me how to style my hair which I greatly appreciate. Keep being amazing 😊

First time visit to LaLuma and I am very happy! Olivia, who is a student did an excellent job of cutting and styling my hair with great supervision. I highly recommend them. Just be aware there is not a lot of parking, so leave yourself time for that.

I went in for a haircut and it was by the amazing Iris! I would recommend to anyone looking for a great atmosphere and very professional. I’m so happy with my new hair! She made it the best experience for me! I will most definitely go back.

I had the most amazing experience at this location. I had Mackenzie as my main stylist with the support from a few other senior stylists as I had major colour correction done. They all did such a beautiful job on my hair and gave me the most comforting experience possible. Furthermore, they offer such an affordable price it genuinely shocked me. I would recommend this place to anyone, whether you are looking for amazing colour correction to save your hair from box dye or just a hair cut and blow dry. They are fantastic and I cannot wait for my next haircut there. Thank you so much Mackenzie and team.

I had terrible experience at La Luma. I first went to this salon at the beginning of the year to get highlights. I ended up getting not really what I asked for (and I even showed the stylist a reference photo, and she barely used it), which left me feeling a bit bummed. But I was like "oh well" I can't change it now and then just payed for it. when I saw the price I was so suprized that I wanted to ask the girl if there was any kind of discount because I didn't really like it... but I didn't say anything bc I was too shy. Then in 3-4 months I decided to give it another try. I asked for a balayage to go lighter... which I wanted the first time and then when she was done my hair was purple bc she over toned it and it was still not blonde, just a dirty purple brunette lol. She also cut my hair really badly and was left with jagged edges. Then I felt bad and didnt want to say anything again when I should've spoken up. Then for the second time it was SOOO expensive bc I don't make a lot of money being a young adult. Like why is getting your hair done have to be that expensive? it was almost $400. Makes no sense. Hair dressers get paid so much for what? this is really frustrating for me especially when I didnt even like my hair. I will definitely not be coming back to this salon again!

The atmosphere at the salon was welcoming, and the attention to detail in the service was impressive. Super happy with the results! Ill definitely be coming back for more!

Today I had a haircut with a hair color and lights by Katarina. I trusted the reviews and made an appointment. I completely shoked. If you look at my hair, half of them have a light blonde and half of them do not. Regarding my haircut, she made a mistake, and one part of my bang is longer than the other part. I just shoked. It is the best thing about my feeling. I donot know; may be she didn't have a good day and made all her services badly
