Enjoy picking up fresh organic vegetables, greens, nuts and seeds here amongst other things for past 15 plus years. Wild salmon, organic chicken and other meats of interest. Their monthly promotions are always worthwhile buys with steep savings. Even with Whole Foods now nearby, I still continue to venture to Ambrosia for my groceries. In addition to their broad food selection, they also have good environmentally minded cleaning supplies and biodegradable products for use in the kitchen. Ambrosia has always felt cozy. Their floor staff has never disappointed, always eager to help, assist and provide their knowledge and/or pull someone in that can help. Very personable. Lots of value received by shopping here. Picked up a salt glow lamp, wonderful soft glow. Love it here! Thank you Ambrosia for offering such great selections and variety. Always a treat to drop by. Fun! Life is Good! :)

First time at Ambrosia. Was in the area so decided to see what products they carry. Items are well organized, store is clean, cashiers are efficient, floor staff are helpful and there are so many unique products and brands. Lots of variety to choose from on health care, groceries, snacks, etc. We bought organic gummy’s for Easter. They come in individual smaller bags so great for kids or when on the go. They are not too sweet and a bit less chewy than regular gummies. Flavour is good too. Would buy again and visit this store again.

I really like the store and picked up the Golden Guernsey milk, along with organic rye flour, dead sea salt, and alkaline water. The store was conveniently situated on Doncaster road close to Steele and Yonge St. The staff was friendly, and each aisle is nicely arranged. I was surprised that the specialty milk was nicely priced. Very pleased with the visit. Update: Today, the staffs were just so so, they were more concerned about having a conversation than helping out their customers.

A large variety of products that you can and cannot find in other places. It is strange that some products are more expensive while others are much cheaper than in other stores. Worth a visit

I go to the Thornhill location quite frequesntly as I work close by. On September 22 at 5:57pm I went to this location to return a honey product. As soon as I left store, I realized that I needed to purchase one item. I went back to store however, I couldn't find the item I was looking for, so I left with my empty paper bag. Wendy (name on the receipt) asked me to show her the empty paper bag as if I tried to steal something. I was quite humiliated and embrassed. This same cashier as treated me very rulely in the past. I just hope no other customer should go through this humiliating experience.

Good products offered but poor customer service with zero understanding. I’ve been a loyal customer to this store during the past years, but once arrived there a minute before 9pm for a very quick water refill and they refused to let me in impolitely. I was so disappointed by their customer services. It’s understandable that staff are eager to close soon, but I was hoping they could show some understanding and offer a better customer service. It really leaves bad reputation for the brand. Now I see there are many complaints here about customer service and staff not caring about the customers!

Huge disappointment, rude staff, horrible environment, gossip from the people who work there, condescending supplement people, and overall horrible new people work at this location. Not only do I consistently get low quality products, I find the woman named Sara at the nutrition location of this branch so horrible and rude. You need to learn manners and management. Lazy staff and lazy store... this woman consistently gives poor customer service and a judgmental eye every time my family and I shop in person. My kids and my husband have picked up on tis too. Just a horrible horrible experience with staff over the years.. we don't need your horrible and unhelpful nutrition advice, you're not a doctor or ND with your horrible grandiose persona, just do your job. This store's quality and management has gone down since covid. It's trash. We used to go with the fam and now won't ever stop by. There are better online shops that cost less and are more effective at doing their job, and we don't have to deal with the BS from the workers and a bad business model at this disappointing corporation... other locations have the same terrible staff and management issue. This brand is showing their true colours after many years…. Won’t go, won’t recommend. avoid this place.

Now I know why some products from this place spoils so fast. Double stickers help Ambrosia to have products "always fresh"...

Horrible! I have been shopping at Ambrosia for years. Spending thousands of dollars every year. Last week I purchased some English cucumbers and bananas. Bananas never ripened and 2 of the cucumbers went bad within 3 days. Brought them back now for a store credit. Because I didn’t have my receipt they refused. Insane!!

Good products, good advice.. But when a customer needs help with a product they bought along with their other $500 worth of groceries and didn't notice the expiry date was within a few days, the manager should have helped and exchanged the product. They denied the exchange because it was within the expiration date. Not cool management. $500 every week for past 6 yrs and wouldn't exchange 1 product. Thanks Ambrosia

This is one of my favorite health food stores where I shop once or twice a month. The aisles are well stocked, clean and they have plenty of cashiers at check out. On this particular trip, I was looking for specific herbal teas, powders and supplements. I also picked up some organic coconut milk, coconut cream, avocado crisps, dairy free yogurt, and organic almond butter. I find the prices are quite reasonable and lower than most other stores.

Don’t go there if you are doing Uber . They wouldn’t be helpful . Thought Small businesses are nicer than big companies but they are the most unhelpful. I asked a Philippinese guy about an item and he said they are not supposed to help us and most he can do show me direction for the item. of course he gave me a wrong direction for the item

Usually has the best price compared to other GTA health food stores. Great selection, clean, organized. Has gotten better over the years, but the area is more dense now, so I try to avoid going on the weekends when it's busy. Stock up on some good stuff from the monthly sale flyer, especially around the winter holidays! I've gotten deals on celestial seasonings and stash tea, raw or chocolate covered nuts, boxes of organic soup, frozen faux meats, etc. Still has a decent bulk section as well, helpful if you like to try less common types of flour or whole grains. If you like "natural" or organic dairy, you can find that too. It's one of the few places I can consistently find half and half with no additives/extenders, just cream. Have never ordered online so can't speak to that.

Ambrosia's "flagship" location is compact and a bit tight to navigate, and also located in a commercial region, but has a decent product selection for a specialty grocer. The place is airy and bright and plenty of staff around to help. Keep in mind the place closes early on weekends, and I only wished opening hours would be similar to major grocers.

Good selection of organic grocery products. Also, good 👍selection of vast supplements. Reasonable prices. Wish they had more stores throughout the city.

Had a horrible experience. First the odough's white loaf stocked in shelves was expired so i notified the staff about it. Then i got home and turns out that the aidan's pitas i bought although not expired; had green mould on the pitas. This store has a serious quality control problem and i will never buy from ambrosia again.

I went to this store and found vendor associates helpful in finding some items but the cashier didn’t say any word such as greeting or anything that show customer appreciation. In truth, her body language and face was so annoying and offensive. I am shameful to say that I recognized her as an Iranian same as my origin origin. I hope management of the store could train them how to greet and appreciate customers and also how to be gentle with others.

My absolute favourite natural food store in the city! The shop is clean and well organized. Everyone working there is extremely knowledgeable on the large selection of natural/ organic food and naturopathic products they are selling. I’ve gotten to know the employees by name, I am beyond grateful for their patience, also their friendliness all while remaining professional and highly efficient. My kids and I love shopping there, their compassion, understanding and tolerance of our at times wild energy as-well as my specific situation is just magical. They have been an essential part of my healing journey, their treatment of myself is inspiring and unforgettable. Much love to all the amazing people who are apart of this wonderful shop.

I eat better when I know that my food is organic. The prices are reasonable and the quality is good for the fresh produce. There is a good selection.

Love the store. Big variety of healthy and organic products. Every time you can find something on sale.

Customer service significantly dropped, disappointing to see reputable store go down hill ( ambrosia being our family’s to go to store for over a decade and different locations carry different variety so Doncaster location has been our fav)where reps are standing and arguing with a customer twice as long as it would have taken to accommodate customers’ request! Repulsive !

Went to buy a supplement - took note of the price only because I was trying to see if I can find a better price elsewhere. At the cash, the item rang in at a higher price; once I alerted the cashier and she talked to her manager, they said “fine we will give it to you for the tag price” without offering a discount at the very least!! Very rude manager and poor customer service. Really disappointed.

Terrible. Arrived at 6pm on a Saturday on Oct 8th as the doors were closing Due to severe traffic and only needed to just to pick up a fluid B12 Supplement for my senior parents as it was my only day off in a week to deal with numerous errands for my business and other family matters. I mentioned that was all I needed and the doorman and manager said no and didn’t let me in as dozens of people were still inside and cashing out. I have brought a lot of business to this location but after this terrible customer service, they will never get my business again. Absolutely ridiculous lack of empathy amongst people these days.

some of the cashiers are rude and treat customers with disrespect, I was a regular customer. shopping groceries at ambrosia used to be a enjoyable experience that I looked forward to, but the behavior of these few cashiers ruins the shopping experience for me and I leave the store with a bad feeling. If I know I can find a product at other nearby stores I avoid going to this place. I hope the management finds out what is at the root of this issue. prices are fair and products are high quality.

The best place to fulfill all your healthy cravings!! Prices are a bit on the premium end, but you will find rare products that you won't find anywhere else in North York and Toronto.

The reason I gave 1 star is due to the older Asian cashier who is so rude each time. I don't know why but she is consistently rude. I was in line waiting for the cashier but she comes around and start joking around with other staff totally ignoring people waiting. And when she is cashing you out, she never acknowledges you even though you say hi and thank you. She never says thank you or bag your things. I think there's a change of ownership as I don't see the people that used work there before. Instead, I see same older Asian lady strutting around being rude. I am truly baffled to the point deciding not to shop there anymore. I used to like the store but enough is enough. I am not spending my money to be treated like that!
