Bought tickets to go see Trixie and Katya A YEAR IN ADVANCE stayed up planned and bought my tickets to avoid ticket scalpers - The show was sold out and we were front row at this venue, we had friends coming in from other cities in Ontario, booked hotels, booked time off work we had it all planned out. This venue let us know ONE WEEK BEFORE THE SHOW that they would not be able to go on with the planned schedule because of construction… if you have a couple years to plan out construction of the venue then you are also able plan ahead and see if shows will be effected. Ample time was there to give notice or reschedule a date. We should have been given at least 3-6 month advance notice. The cherry on top was being directed to the Meridian Hall in Toronto where tickets were DOUBLE and in some areas TRIPLE the price. Since we had not planned for the Toronto dates we weren’t able to attend the tow hour extravaganza they had, we were only available for the podcast taping at the just for laughs festival, which was still amazing but after a year of getting hyped up to see them preform all I could think about is the fact we missed out on this once In a lifetime opportunity all because the venue somehow could not plan a year in advance. This completely ruined our week and has left a sour taste about this venue in our mouth. A refund isn’t good enough. We missed out big time.

Been here numerous times for Jimmy Carr, Jordan Peterson, and more. The building is amazing and even the top row seats aren’t bad. Facilities are all provided for, though the drinks are expensive. Would definitely go back in the future!

Just got a call informing me that Daniel Howell's show had been cancelled... one week before the show. I bought my (vip) tickets MONTHS ago and had been looking forward to the show more and more as it got closer to the date. Considering how long it takes to plan construction, could you maybe not have let shows been scheduled during the time the construction would take place? Or maybe instead of refunding... reschedule the show? Super disappointing and has left my day ruined. It's HIGHLY unlikely I'll be purchasing tickets for another event at this venue.

We went here to see Post modern jukebox on their #PMJtour. Loved every minute of it. I am a part time electric wheelchair user and everyone here was so friendly and helpful. The washroom was amazing with plenty of space to roll around. All the sinks were roll up with no barrier. Very nice feature. The accessible seats are eye level to the stage making it very easy to see. All around great experience.

Great venue for a show, this one was Glorious Sons with JJ Wilde opening. Parking nearby, $10 cash. Helpful staff, comfortable seating & fair concession prices.

We went to Buffy St Marie and it was our first concert since the pandemic. The new ticket scanning system was horrible and noone could figure out how to use it..it held up the line. Seats were good. Music was amazing.

Finally got around to getting to this venue Friday night to see Collective Soul. Fantastic venue, very comfortable seats, and amazing sound. The staff were wonderful and friendly. The venue was very clean, especially the bathrooms. Drinks were very reasonably priced, nice not to get hosed on a bottle of water like in Toronto. Looking forward to more shows here!

Venue and staff were fantastic, as usual. Show was awesome! However, the washrooms have been renovated and you cannot get into the stall and close the door without stepping over or around the toilet, because the door swings within an inch or two of the front of the toilet. Not sure how the design was approved on that. As mentioned, everything else was excellent!

We had a great time. The sightlines are pretty good from most of the theatre and the staff are great. You can bring drinks and snacks into the theatre which was a bonus for my kids. They are currently having some renovations done though, so be aware as the regular bathrooms and fountains aren't working.

Large venue, great sightlines with no obstructions. Fantastic acoustics. Seating is quite snug together though. More comfortable seating would make this a 5 🌟.

Great facility! We're so lucky to have this in the city! Friendly and helpful staff. I was surprised at how reasonably priced food and drinks were. Comfortable seats and not a bad one in the house! They host some amazing events so make sure to check em out!

Great space, been a few times for shows. I feel like every seat has a great view! One thing that remains consistent is the lack of speed for the bartenders. Line ups for drinks are long and take >20 minutes to be served. Either there's too much selection, or there's no pep in the step of bartenders to get the line down.

I totally enjoyed the Handel's Messiah presentation put on by the Mass MennoSingers Choir. It was my first time in the theatre. The signage was great in helping us find our way; the acoustics were excellent. One thing that surprised me was the restroom facilities were few and not exactly accommodating to the size of crowd the theatre could hold. This resulted in looonnng lineups!!! One would think that there could be a better ratio of theatre seats to restroom stalls!

Attended the Just for Laughs 20th anniversary comedy tour and had a great time at the venue. Good acoustics and helpful staff, couldn't ask for more...except maybe more diversity in the snack front. The picture was taken before the show started as people were coming in.

Great venue to watch a show. I have seen many acts there, including Blue Rodeo. Corridor is cramped, and there aren't enough washrooms if you are looking for a negative.

Love seeing shows at the Center In The Square. I have seen many different types of shoes at this venue, and each and have fully enjoyed every one of them.

First time attending an event here and was pretty impressed! A great place to see a great comedian. Easy to get into, the lobby entrance is not overly large, but it does the job. Once inside there is plenty of room to enjoy a drink before entering the theatre. Seating is generous, with a lot of leg room. There are balcony boxes to the sides of the theatre that look like a neat place to sit, think I will try and get some seats there next time. Bang-for-buck I don't think you can go wrong! Plenty of parking in the area as well as a number of restaurants.

Attended the Hometown Holidays concert by the Barenaked Ladies .. it was awesome!! Never been to a concert there, but I sure picked an awesome seat .. E6 .. a separate chair which I could move to get the best view, no one behind me, less traffic and easy in and out access. I'll be sure to come again .. 🤗

Pretty good venue for the concert we went to. Prices for food and drinks are as can be expected. Good staff around to help you find your seat. Hopefully some more good acts come to town.

I'm spoiled. Having such a first rate venue within walking distance of my apartment (and Downtown Kitchener) is a luxury I probably don't deserve. (Since, I'm usually a very happy homebody.) On the rare occasion that I treat myself to a concert or comedy show, centre in the square is perfect. It's small enough to feel intimate but large enough to attract fantastic performers. The staff are smart, polite, and helpful. We are lucky to have a theatre like this.

Won tickets from local radio station, thank you Dave FM.Totally forgot about the Center in the Square theatre, wow, not a bad seat in the house. The sound was truly spot on, the staff were pleasant, and helpful. Parking was a non issue. Most definitely on my radar looking forward to future shows, great experience.

Go right when you enter! Most people flood to the left once they enter this venue, with the right side being pretty open. Head over there once you get in. This venue has been consistently great. I've seen various shows here of all sorts and the staff have always been great. Food is pretty sparse and pricey, which isn't surprising, but I wish there was more variety. Parking nearby is pretty good! They're always great at having people nearby to help facilitate traffic. There's some seats in the middle by mechanical box, which may seem like a less than ideal seat, but it actually means a LOT of leg room and no one in front of you. GET THOSE SEATS

Saw Our Lady Peace here. Every seat is a great view, acoustics were unreal and there is side of the street free parking by the back entrance which made it easy to get back on the expressway

Great venue. Comfortable seats and every seat can see the stage easily. We were in the mezzanine watching a concert and the sound was incredible. They had drinks and snacks available although a bit pricey. I'm sure this is normal for this type of location. Great night out. Can't wait to do it again

A very nice venue to see a show. Sightlines are good from everywhere and the sound is excellent. Comfortable seating and lots of room in the entry /exit areas. There was also convenient parking that's free after hours.

The place looks modern and nice. The seats are comfortable and the halls are wide. The bathroom that I visited was clean, though not too big. My biggest problem is that the place smelled like and old pub after closing time: cheap wine and cheap alcohol. That part of my experience was not good and that is why I give the place 3 stars. I would go back to see another performance, but I really hope that they are able to find a solution for the alcohol smell.

I have seen many performances at Centre on the Square. I just went to Leonard Cohen's "Dance Me" and it was absolutely wonderful. The venue was great because there was plenty of leg room, great lighting, a luxurious atmosphere, and friendly staff. I love going to Centre in the Square for different performances. I've been for quite a few ballets, and comedy shows. Definitely recommend this venue.

The sound and views are great. The rows of seats are too long, we had to awkwardly pass by 20 people to get to our seats. More washrooms are needed. The balcony and mezzanine share a washroom with only a few stalls so we spent the entire intermission in line for the washroom. The prices for drinks and snacks are good. Parking is available at a nearby church or parking garage.

Beautiful venue, both inside the theatre and in the lobby area. I found out recently that you can pick up tickets for Kitchener Memorial Auditorium events at the Center In The Square's box office, so that is a great service as well. I look forward to future events.

Beautiful venue. Even the cheapest tickets in the back rows are a good view of the stage. Small venue with a more intimate feeling than many others. Good audio. And it is nice to go somewhere where you are actually allowed to have beer and snacks in the auditorium. Lots of near by parking. Would definitely look for events here to return in the future.

Amazing venue! Got to see Carly Rae Jepsen here! Acoustics of the theatre were flawless! The seats were super comfortable and not flimsy and old like other theatres in KW area. Venue had great parking and friendly staff. Would definitely come back to see a show here again!
