I am a Chocolate Cartel (Albuquerque, NM) man. I try special chocolate as I travel the world and this place is the first in a decade that has said I have found a place I could be just as happy with as my home store. Usually I am happy with a different taste and experience, but the quality is rarely as good as what the Cartel guys offer. St. Anna is right there with them in both taste and quality. And don't forget to get some ice cream. Also top quality.

First time visiting this chocolaterie, it has very oldies classical atmosphere with many classical deco. The owner is very friendly and helpful. They offer the chocolate to taste. It tasted very good and very good homemade quality. I bought few for x-mas gift and they offered another packing service. It is really so personalized service experience. Really love the service and products.

Amazing chocolate shop, caught my attention though it’s hidden in a small narrow cobblestone street of old city Heidelberg! Everything about chocolate is here! Original..the dark chocolate with mint and bourbon tea are perfect! Nostalgic and cosy, worth the try!

The location of the cafe is a bit hidden from the main street , therefore from the outside it is not self-evident especially for non-locals to know that this shop also sells ice-reams, and actually as one of the best ice-cream makers in town(IMHO) with many self-invented recipes. If you happen to stay in Heidelberg a bit longer, remember to ask for the ice-cream loyal card, with 10 consumptions comes one on the house.

Easily the greatest hot chocolate drink I've ever had. I will live the rest of my life trying to reproduce the experience when I make it at home.

The best hot chocolate i have ever had TILL TODAY, was in Ukraine, but that changed, I’m trying their original hot chocolate with no added flavor and it is HEAVENLY, and the shop keeper is so nice and friendly! Congratulations ❤️❤️

We found this hidden gem in a side alley on the main shopping street in Heidelberg City Centre. Our little one wanted ice cream and when we looked to our right, there is it was. It’s a small chocolate shop which sells, of course chocolate, coffee and ice cream. I think they had 5 different flavours. We had vanilla, redcurrant and one that had the name “gold” in it (sorry i can’t remember). Very delicious!!! The shop even has an old style cash register. You should stop by and check it out.

Custom hand made chocolates - a local favorite in a small alley way. Bring lots of money, home made chocolate at this level is not cheap, but oh so good. They also have hand made top end ice cream to go, the perfect treat after lunch.

A chic little shop nestled in Bismarckplatz, it's just so so cute to look at. The staff were warm and welcoming and gave us great advice on our drink selection. We went for the classic hot chocolate. Which is unlike any hot chocolate I've ever had. It was a splash of milk in a pool of chocolate as opposed to the other way around. The chocolate was smooth, not too sweet and the portion was perfect for a cold day. The staff gave us freshly made rose biscuits to go along with our hot chocolate. They sell a variety of chocolates with fun combinations (every kind of fruit and nut plus some funky spices) as well as tins of drinking chocolate. I bought a tin as a gift and it was much appreciated.

Definitely a good find for quality chocolates. Truly one of the tastiest cups of ice cream I have had in a long time! But the so called ‘city’s best ice cream place’ serving in non decomposable cups with what felt like plastic spoon..heavily DISAPPOINTING :(. It would be the only reason why I wouldn’t go back for another cup. Hope they rethink their to-go serving options.
