My husband and I were excited to take our two teenage boys while on vacation in nearby Boston. We waited 40 minutes beyond the hour we were told the wait would be, biding our time with game machines that wouldn’t work, and watching others before us on the track. We were advised of the rules, and went through the gauntlet, ready to race. 2 riders were allowed to enter our race last minute, obviously friends with the employees. One of them cut me off first lap. No big deal, we were there to race. I, 4 months out from back surgery, was taking a known risk as it was. The next lap, though, the same guy crashed into my husband, whom I crashed into (ultimately hurting my back). The guy at fault was not issued a “black flag” as we were told would be the consequence of reckless driving. 2 laps later, the same guy (whom refused to slow down on turns, and consistently dragged without warning) turned the second corner to literally ride his cart up on to my 15-year-old-son’s car. They were both ejected momentarily, and asked if they wanted to continue. My husband and I, understandably concerned for his safety, yelled that the person as fault of now 2 major faults shouldn’t continue the race, and to make sure that our son was okay (first, of course). The staff allowed the kid to continue the race, though the race was finished the next lap. We felt not only robbed of the full experience to race in a safe and fun environment, but that our son’s safety was not at all of concern when faced with a the need for fun of friend of an employee. My husband and I regret now that we did not force the staff to see the safety issues at hand, nor ask for a refund at the time. Both of our teenagers voiced that they were disappointed and would not return, despite friends that frequent. A K1Speed opened recently near us in Bluffton, SC, and we will definitely not patron. For goodness sakes, we didn’t complain about the extra long wait despite no one there waiting, but the fact that people were allowed to be dangerous over and over again is not okay!!

Worst Experience Ever . The desk staff was rude and unconcerned to make sure our party went well . We booked a birthday party for our sons 13th Birthday . There were 8 racers , they raced 3 races , the party included 3 pizzas and 1 drink for each of the racers . We ordered an extra pizza to make sure there was enough for the kids and a few adults . When opening the pizzas , they were extremely small , so my wife went to order more for the kids , she went up as soon as she looked at the pizzas , and went to order more , when she got there , the staff rudely said , the kitchen was closed . Even though the pizzas just came out of the oven 2 minutes earlier . This establishment has no concerns for their customers , and are out right rude . This party costed almost $900.00 . I would have expected a lot more .. I Do Not recommend this place to anyone for a party . you can get way more for your money else where .

We had a bachelor party here , we did the Grand Prix package which was amazing , prices fair and came with a lot of amenities . We ended up being early and asked if we could purchase more laps and the staff was very friendly , knowledgeable and fun. At one point one of the managers asked if he could race with us since we were doing so well and had great track times. He was so fun and impressive with his racing skills. Food was ok, nice little arcade in the back . Would highly recommend coming to K1 for events and or racing with friends & family.

Great time but get ready to drop some 💰 ! ($180.00 for 3 ppl 🤑 to have a reasonable time w/ a bundle package for each ) BUT we had a GREAT TIME, clean, very professional & friendly. And you need to buy a membership just to do it 1 time ($7.99) And almost $25. per race OR $59.99 for a budle package with 2 races, t-shirt and membership included fyi

I took a group of 10 12-year olds for a birthday party on a Sunday afternoon. The kids ABSOLUTELY loved the racing - I mean 100% joy. The staff at the desks were incredibly nice, though they seemed short-handed, and the guys running the track were knowledgeable and really focused on the needs of the race (getting kids unstuck, watching for problems). So for me that was the big win. As a parent paying a good chunk of money for this, I'd do it again in a heartbeat BUT, set proper expectations - the party room was not ready and not very clean, the restrooms were a mess and had no soap, plus everything felt really self-serve - like if you needed anything you had to go the desk and wait for a human to appear. Maybe it's a COVID thing and they were short handed? Also in the description of the party, we were told there would be awards for the winning kids and birthday kid - that didn't happen, luckily I hadn't hyped it up so no one really noticed and I was too busy handling logistics to follow up. I've sent a request to the salesperson to see if we can get them sent to us. I'd 100% recommend this place if you are okay with rolling with the issues I noted. The kids loved it.

The fiancé and I went down to Boston from Maine to drop the in-laws off for a cruise and decided to settle the debate of who was a faster driver. It being our first time there, walking in right at the entry is an old formula1 roller which was really cool and definitely got us amped to start racing. Check in was simple and quick and we had the whole place to ourselves besides one set of racers already on the track. There where arcades for us to play while waiting but we very quickly where able to suit up with provided safety gear and strap in to the electric go karts. Just the two of us was great but I can imagine a full field of drivers being a blast also. We chose two races but definitely could have raced all day. Highly recommend checking out K1 speed!

Pretty great. The boys running the front desk and track were all friendly and welcoming. Got rammed a few times by some youngsters but it's part of the game. Went by myself to scope it out, would 100% encourage you to bring at least a friend or two for some competitive runs. Managed to get 3 races in and brought my time down into the low 23's for my best lap. Sweating pretty good by the end of Race 2. Considering joining the monthly GP league for something to do. Depends on how friendly those folks are. Will report back.

It was an amazing experience, not too high prices, I just didn’t like we have to buy membership, other than that it was cool, fast cars and interesting circuits

Place must be under new management, looks cleaner and staff is more attentive! Brought our two boys and niece, ages 8 and 9, during April vacation and they had a blast. Super friendly and helpful staff, Devin walked us through the process and explained everything. Track crew was on point showing the kids what to do. Definitely bringing them back soon.

Went here for a work event. The food could be better, but you're not coming here for the food. The driving experience is awesome! The staff are super friendly too!

I had an excellent experience at this K1! I've been to pretty much all the K1s in California and also went to the one in Texas and Oregon, and I will say this is one of the best ones. The employees were easygoing and understanding, and the karting itself was fun too. Just make sure to come early in the day to have less yellow flags due to bad drivers

A place with truly amazingly fast go carts, not sure if I really should have brought my twelve-year-old as these things are actually extremely fast recommended for adults only.

I took my son here to try something new. I would say that it’s ok, nothing crazy. I found it a little bit pricey considering the time it takes for 1 race. I also think that they could do a better job with arcade section as I found it very limited. I must say that the staff was very nice and friendly!

Had fun time for my son's 16th bday ,The flow was a bit confusing to me ,but that could have just been a me issue ,There was a young brother (wish I got his name) working at the front with the food that was VERY nice, polite and professional! Give him a raise ! He made the experience very pleasant for my family .

Definitely try if you’ve never been! Really fun, particularly for a big group or work outing. Very well organized with a primary focus on safety! Staff is great and make sure things run smoothly and as planned. Karts are fast and get faster the more races you do. Be prepared for hitting the walls if you’re a fast and aggressive racer! 5 stars if the food was better.

Kids loved the track!!! Staff in the track are very friendly, active and helpful… front desk definitely needs improvement.. We reached there on Saturday around 6. There was only one in front desk.. he took orders for both food and registration. He is very slow… many employees keep moving around , but no one care to help the new customers. It took at least 30 mins to complete all the registration, make payment and cross the front desk.. it was literally a 5 mins task.. I was frustrated at the front desk. In contrast, track staffs are very active and friendly…

Was there for a birthday. Food was terrible. And we booked a private room but when we arrived they didn’t give us one. This would get a 3 star if not for Selina and the marketing team.. The marketing team consistently lied and misled the entire group and Selina was honestly the Worst part, when we called to speak to her, was rude, condescending and entirely unhelpful. She basically told us “sucks you had a bad time, we will Try and do better” The staff there was fantastic. They turned what could have been a terrible night into something salvageable.

I went with my co-residents as we received a gift card from our attendings as a Christmas gift. The inside of the building is clean and there is a limited selection of arcade games/claw machines. There is also a couple of pool tables and an air hokey table. We didn't eat anything but there's typical snack bar food (pizza, soda, etc.). Now on to the go kart portion. There are 2 tracks: One for adults/older kids and another for children (at least that's what it seemed to be while we were there). You get assigned to a kart, which can determine your lap time as some seem faster than others. Also the kart I was using was rattling significantly when coming around a corner fast (seems a little suspect). When you're in a race, you get placed based on your fastest single lap time and you have a total of 12 laps to do this. Overall, it was pretty fun and great for a group who enjoy a little friendly competition. Just be aware that you might feel like hugging turns and accelerating on straight aways when driving home after.

Celebrated my son's birthday here. The prices are high but it's 100% worth it. The staff are all in good spirits, the games area is spacious, and the establishment is very clean!

Ordering food over 20 minute wait and order was incomplete 8 slice pizza 16$ and is not even a 10 inch pie, school pizza taste better. It could at least be edible. Food is not worth the price. Racing really fun and for the family. I will return but hope they improve there food and some customer service skills.

great time overall, some negative moments (generally the fault of inexperienced/asinine drivers). carts cut out a couple times (once to me in my second race and twice to someone else in my third) but staff was helpful about getting that fixed as promptly as can really be expected. pricing was fairly reasonable (at least to my knowledge, this was my first “real” go karting experience and 64.95 for three races seems pretty fair for the experience we received). looking forward to coming back and improving my racing!

Fast, fun, and great for groups. We had a party of 16 and were split into two groups of 8. Waiting time was minimal and they were great about safety which is important. Don’t eat the food though because it was not that good.

Smaller than what I expected race track. I didn't play on the track due to a party and the wait was up to 2 hours. You can't reserve anything so have someone be there ahead of time. Some arcade games there that are fun. Staff were really nice but it was just the wait time or me or at least be able to reserve a time slot. I left because it was late but will try to go again soon.

First time karting. K1 Boston was wicked fun. They started us (4) off on lower speeds which gave us a chance to learn the track layout and get a feel for the kart. Can’t wait to come back and try for a lower lap time.

  • 4/5 Joel R. 1 year ago on Google
Track was smaller than I hoped, no seat adjustment and the helmet visor was very scratched. My group also wished the karts had some level of steering assist to relieve strain while driving. Otherwise it was a great experience. Definitely plan to come back.

  • 4/5 Alex S. 1 year ago on Google
It was a great time but they should add more rules. For example maybe have different level races. I raced with people who had their own gear and probably raced there for a while. Maybe have an experienced group go, then maybe a less experienced group go. I think they should be more serious with the flags and stuff. But overall great fun, nice people, good workers. Just try and add some more rules please.

Really fun spot to race with friends. The karts go faster with each round of racing you do. This space is perfect for corporate events. This isn't for people that get vertigo! =) Also, try to eat before going.

We came on a Wednesday afternoon. Wait time was doable, and we played games in between races. Staff at the counter and at the race track were really helpful. Had a great time and will definitely come back!

Our whole experience was great! Saad, the manager, made sure we had everything we needed and we were enjoying our time there. The experience with all the employees was very positive. Kudos for the customer service!

Some of the best fun I've had in while. The pizza is no less than decent and a contender for the best in town. The go-cart racing is an absolute blast! It might take a while for your party to get on the track (our wait was an hour) but the billiards tables are free to play while you wait for your track time. Most of you may be wondering if it is appropriate for children of a certain age and I an happy to report that our 10-year old girl made it around the track 8 of the 10 laps and had the best time doing so.

I went with my son for the first time on a Saturday night. From the phone calls to check in and even the guys running the races were all attentive, helpful, and patient. We had a great time - and we will be back.

The girl went out of her way to let me be able to pay the food balance. Hey ahead of time. Once we got there, it was a little chaotic and being organized but overall they did a great job.

The Go Karts are a blast, the track is exciting. The venue is clean and planned out well. The booking process was difficult, I had to keep pressing to get responses and have my email or voicemail returned. The pricing is confusing.and not explained well both during booking and when signing in at the location. The staff on the race course track are very good, very helpful and are paying close attention to what's going on. The staff at the counter were disengaged, seemed disinterested and were borderline helpful at best.

  • 5/5 Thom O. 5 months ago on Google • 1 review
Friendly staff, fairly prompt service, great racing experience, felt safe with a decent on-boarding for a first timer, clean facility, more activities available than website seemed to show (air hockey, arcade, pool table, golden tee) for non-racers. Decent race-length for the money. Arcade is a lil pricey ($1 per game) but isn’t the main focus.
