Tourist attraction Park Nature preserve

👍👍 The trail splits almost immediately. I prefer the walk along the creek to the left. There's a steep-ish hill going down so be careful when the ground is wet. Those leaves get slippery. The right-side trail brings you more into a sandy pine forest. Parking is ample. People often mention trail, walk, nice,

It was a great walk in the woods. Very pretty with all the streams. My dog, Willow, had a wonderful time sniffing around, especially for the chipmunks.😊

The Orra Phelps Nature Preserve was such a nice place to talk a walk during the fall with all of the trees changing colors and plenty of pretty colored leaves all about. There's a few streams going through the preserve and some bridges to get across. It was such a nice experience. They also had signs around which explained what some of the different trees were. Only thing I'd recommend is if you go here on a day that happened to have rained shortly before, wear some shoes that you don't mind getting mud on. 5/5 and would definitely go again!

Really well-maintained trail system thanks to Saratoga Plan. (They also have a letterbox hunt available via their website.) Easy to walk along with nice views of scenery. Good for dogs and children. I bet it is beautiful in the fall. (Distance traveled ~1.5 miles Elevation gain: < 50 ft)

Beautiful, quiet walk in the woods by the stream. "The fronds of the Evergreen Wood Fern and the Christmas Fern, still fresh and green, lie prostrate on the ground, their weakened stems apparently unable to support them erect, but undoubtedly in this position they are better protected from the storm and stress of winter." - Frances Theodora Parsons

Very pretty streams and topography. Trails are VERY short and houses are in view from all sides. Was able to walk every trail in the preserve about 30 minutes. Still a nice little getaway.

Great little hike. Wooden elevated trail sections were a huge hit with little boys and elementary aged girls loved finding many frogs in the small brook that runs through.

Great little hike. White trail markers lead to the blue trail markers which take you to along the creek. Very beautiful. Great for a dog walk too.

imagine my disappointment when i went today for the 1st time in the warmer season and the already short trail that ive taken every single dog ive ever owned or loved to on a hot day to cool down and relax was literally cut in half and there was a private property sign. Ive been going here since I was a teenager. I am so upset

Directions bring you to a spot and say you have arrived. There is no trail anywhere to be found in the vicinity even on near by roads.

The Orra Phelps Nature Preserve is a great place for a peaceful walk in the woods. The trails are easy to follow, well marked, and not to challenging. The small wooden bridges over the stream add a nice aesthetic. There are benches to sit on in case you need a break or would like to admire the surroundings. A deer or two may be seen in the surrounding forest. It takes only about 20-30 minutes to complete all of the trails. A nice place to go for an escape.
