So, food was good. Well presented and quality was 8/10. Had a few celebrities in there this evening which I must admit, was awesome! However, on entry was given the option to order and pay via app. So we did, ordered and paid to our table starter, main and dessert. But the dessert came first?? So after that obvious mess up.... the female older waitress in the garden approached the table and told us all about the system, the kitchen ticket system, that if we do come again, not do what we did again. She was a bit like it's our fault and to be honest a little insulting of our intelligence. No instructions were available! The waitress then said that we could have ordered via her, but what's the point? Maybe she felt redundant to the app. We had drinks when first coming in, without using the app. When we got up... she challenged us like we were running from paying the Β£7.10. A little abrupt and a little embarrassing. Additionally, we were allocated 1 hour 40 minutes...with ordering 10 minutes in... didn't get dessert until 10 minutes left. πŸ˜• rushed... even though it was rather quiet. The older male waiter was wonderful and so was the friendly young waitress that brought out our desserts before the starters. Even though we booked online, there was a faff on arrival too, finding code for booking.... the place was quiet. He even said it doesn't matter but still faffed about. Table not cleaned when selected, had to wait and watch this older waitress take her time cleaning it. The place generally is in a beautiful location, awesome beer garden overlooking the lake and wildlife.

Our new favourite place! Food is amazing, tasty and fresh. I was really surprised with do juicy prawns skewers and tender beef in sandwich. Highly recommended to visit, view is stunning! We were served by Bev - kind and proffesional waitress. She care about you like a part of family. This was amazing lunch.

Always seemed busy when we drove past, so thought we would go in and was not disappointed at all. The setting was stunning, the staff lovely, service was quick, and the food was lovely. They also do a small pudding and drink combo, which I thought was inspired and also very delicious

Fantastic roast as always, food is always cooked well and never left waiting hours. Love the atmosphere, always chilled out even when busy, fire is a perfect touch in the winter. Also, our waiter Nick was exceptional!

I would 'jump the Pond' from Philly to come back to this Pond anyday... In all the ways possible, this was a five-star experience. Five of us came in around 5 o'clock (pun fully intended) and I thought it will be busy for dinner time, but it wasn't at all. We sat outside for a bit, but then moved indoors in search for a bigger table. First we ordered the lamb koftas and they were very good. Meat was a bit dry, but perfectly aided by the tatziki sauce and pomegranate (and quinoa?) medley. The main course was a beef rib, Scottish trout with mussels, a Korean BBQ chicken skewer, and a not-so-vegetarian vegetable curry bowl with chicken. All are highly recommended, plentiful meals. The beef could have been slightly less fatty, but for me, it added more flavor to the experience. The staff was very nice and helpful, and what I really liked - in contrast to American restaurants - they checked on us only twice during our meal so we could enjoy it. You'll want to come here not just for the food (and drinks!) but also for the atmosphere. The Fishers Pond is on a picturesque pond (duh) with tree-lined shores and they have a wonderful terrace that overlooks it all. We went back outside after the meal and had some coffee and dessert to enjoy it all. The interior of the restaurant is equally gorgeous - very modern, yet comfy, cozy and historic. I mean around 1100s historic, which is not a big surprise for this part of the world, yet impressive still...

As someone who worked in refurbishment of and was employed as a bar manager and publican within the pub industry, my visit to The Fishers Pond today was amazing. This refurbishment has been a work of astonishing quality and superb finishing. Naturally there are a few niggling issues, why for example did they remove the lettering from the pub facia? It was always a stand out statement for the venue. Maybe it's a work in progress and the wording will be replaced? Who knows? Overall you cannot fail to be impressed by the interior design. OK this never was a cheap pub and in the past I have paid Β£6.25 for a premium lager, today a pint of Stella cost Β£5.65...in 3 pubs within 3 miles, the same pint costs from Β£3.50 to Β£4.30...none of which are a Wetherspoon pub! But for the surroundings, the views and the overall layout, this is a price I am willing...if not happy...to pay. Didn't eat here so no comment on that. Highly recommended and I suggest you add it to favourites on your SatNav!

We arrived for lunch. The carpark was virtually empty. Not as expected, as it was a Bank Holiday. Greeted on arrival with " We had problems with our food delivery" A number of items are missing from the menu. Decided to stay. More staff than customers could be seen. We did choose meals from the limited menu. When the food came it was hot and very tasty. Staff did help improve our stay by giving good service. Customer numbers had increased by the time we left. Desserts were ordered after a lengthy wait a reminder was required. To be fair we were not charged for them. We had a table overlooking " Fishers Pond" which did enhance lunchtime experience really good.

Please ask people if they want to order drinks when they get seated. We were 25 mins without. Ensure you have steaks for busy times as your limited menu is poor without the steaks. The servers were lovely. Food quality was good. Non alcoholic drinks selection was excellent.

Lovely setting. Waiter (Nick) really is a treat, and is absolutely perfect for here, being friendly, attentive, funny and knowledgeable. Pretty sure the large table next to us thought the same as well. Food was fantastic. Had button mushrooms on sourdough toast for starters, with a cheese sauce, and it was superb (my photo does not do this justice). Lunch was pie of the day, being a delicious chicken and bacon pie with a brie topping, with mash. Absolutely hit the spot for me. We didn't have dessert because we simply couldn't manage it. Prices right there in the middle bracket, and given how much we enjoyed it, would have paid a bit more to be fair, so no complaints at all, and excellent value for money. Very happy to recommend indeed, and will be coming back here for sure.

Nice friendly welcome upon arrival, nicely set out tables just looked so welcoming. Food & service excellent, Nick, waiter made our evening bit of a character.... in all a lovely evening much appreciated. Bonus was the food, couldn't fault it, nicely presented & very tasty 10 out of 10. Definitely go back.

A lovely place for dinner. We went on a Thursday night after a day at the zoo. Our server, Nick, was fantastic - polite and hilarious! Nice atmosphere and good food. Slight mark down on the food because they had run out of so much! But we would definitely go again and recommend it to local friends.

Food and service was lovely, although the potatoes were quite hard out waitress was very friendly and food came out very quickly. Unfortunately the manager was rather loud when talking about other teams member personal things, and his own personal home life. We found it very unprofessional and found him to be rather rude.

Sunday Roast (X2) it was cold/like warm at just after noon when they opened. Mentioned it to the server he said he would mention it to the kitchen. Wouldn't recommend them for a Sunday Roast based on this. Will try again for a burger or something but if that's served at the same temperature I will return it to the kitchen this time. Nice venue friendly staff good location good could be a lot better.

We visited as a couple on a busy Friday night. Nick, our server, gave us a warm welcome and was very apologetic for the busyness, but we really enjoyed the atmosphere and a leisurely meal as we had planned. We were asked about any allergies and nothing was too much trouble. The food and drink were plentiful, tasty and reasonably priced and the cosy interior and views of the lake are always a delight. Special thanks to Nick and the rest of the team for a lovely evening, thank you. We look forward to our next visit!

The place was beautiful and the service was good but not to a high standard things were forgotten and trying to get attention was a bit of a challenge at times the food was nice typical pub grub which was why we went. Just would have been nicer if the staff serving seemed happier and more efficient

Great little gastropub in Eastleigh, dog friendly option. We went for brunch time, service was attentive and the location is really nice, definitely worth a visit if you are looking for a relaxed and cozy vibe to enjoy some food. Overall, a positive experience with some small buggy things. Food was on the good side, good quality ingredients for the full English. On the negative, the Eggs Royale was VERY weak, we do not recommend as the smoked salmon was not good and the crumpets were completely stale and not edible - we did say this to the server but did not offer any replacement or reduction, which we found to be very strange.

Whilst I appreciate things often happen out of our control, we arrived after booking a table to a restaurant that was literally freezing, we ate in our coats and the food although was good, did not stay hot for very long. Their heating had broken but I really think they should have called to advise of this as basically we sat in total discomfort! No offer of hot drinks was made nor a reduction in our bill. We could not go elsewhere as we were timed for the next event. I feel my friends birthday meal was marred because of this. A simple text / call would have been most welcome.......

Just had a lovely meal here. The food was great and the setting, well, wow!! A fab view over the lake. A very nice atmosphere and the staff were great. We were served by Nick, what a lovely chap and very friendly and knowledgeable about the menu and the history of the lake. Will definitely be back there again soon. Highly recommended.

Was our anniversary, went along with the baby in a pram and the dog. Manager in a Christmas jumper was a little rude saying we could only go in the bar area as we had a little dog and we should have let them know. I said we did book and I rang to check. Lovely older lady took over and said it was not a problem, and the staff could not be more welcoming or pleasant from that point on. Everyone was lovely. The waiter/server was his first night on. He was friendly still and checked everything as we went. Pate and chorizo to start... not enough bread and asked for 1 slice extra. We somehow got a whole plate of bread and butter which we got charged for. This is the only downside and we didn't complain. Mains the chicken and the pork belly. Lovely. I had a glass of wine and we were too full for dessert. Great from start to finish. Lovely lady also came over with some dog treats for our Pomsky. If we lived in the area we would be back

I never write a review on restaurants normally as its very much a personal taste on whether you like it or not but on this occasion, thought i would share our experience. Party of 7, we turned up dead on time thinking it was going to be busy, all good, really quiet, being really quiet, you would expect a fairly seamless service. Our Waitress did not arrive until 12.15, as she walked past to put her coat away, no apology, just said, i would be back in 5. Just gone 12.30, she came back and took the drinks order. Still very quiet in the pub, and had a fair few staff wandering around. 12.50 drinks arrive, why such the long wait? I booked this for the Office staff, being Christmas, opted for the Festive menu at the time of booking. Started to order, obviously everyone was wanting the Turkey or, Christmas styled lunch. No Turkey/Roast lunch available, this, we were told was reserved for larger parties. i explained that i wasn't asked to reserve, she went on to say "IT IS RESERVED FOR LARGER PARTIES!" so, without wanting to upset anyone further proceeded to order what was left on offer which, as we had the Festive menu, was either Korean chicken or vegetarian. The meal turned up approx 30mins later, Luke warm and fairly tasteless. Looking around again, the pub was still quiet, bearing in mind that it was getting close to 2pm and still no larger parties for the Turkey. The waitress did start clearing the plates once we had finished, i say started, she did half the table and never returned. It really was a shame as you were recommended, it looked great but quite frankly, the service was absolutely appalling, the waitress was rude and it just felt that we were just an inconvenience throughout.

We came with friends, we all had the fillet steak. It was cooked to our liking. Delicious meal. We sat inside to start with and chilled in the garden after our meal. The staff are great and looked after us well. It’s not our first time and it won’t be our last. Can’t wait to come back again soon.

Our waiter was an older gentleman, his name is possibly Nick from reading the other reviews but I can't remember and also didn't ask. He was very polite and had an answer for everything that we asked. It also looked like he was covering the floor of the whole restaurant and outside as well and seemed like he was the only one doing it. There was another waiter/waitress that I maybe saw once or twice but in no way covered the amount of work that our waiter did. He is a credit to your Pub!! I don't think he quite got our banter at first however he did obviously have a very long day as the place was so busy all day, he did son warm to us! We were told very quickly that they had been extremely busy throughout the day and there were a couple of things missing off the menu, we don't mind that it is to be expected and it can not be helped. We were also told that because of how busy it was that food might take a little longer to come out again we understand that's not a problem at least we were told up front. The food was amazing and it was lovely to eat with such a great view overlooking the pond. My only criticism is on the signature burger the beef brisket in the cheese sauce was a little weird. It tasted very smokey as if the beef had flavoured the cheese sauce from the description I was more expecting beef brisket slices and cheese sauce drizzled over. However this wasn't my meal so no big deal, I just wanted to try it. Over all very lovely visit and from reading other reviews I think people have too high an expectation of things that could very well be out of the pubs control and doesn't really reflect the pub or the team working there in anyway what so ever.

Great staff with excellent knowledge of the menu and extra information when we asked about the lake. We were all really impressed that they took the time to tell us what was happening and my son was happy that his question was answered into such detail. The food was tasty and the atmosphere as always really cosy and friendly. Great cappuccino and mini mango torte too!

Good service, only thing lacking was the greeting upon entering the pub/restaurant. The food, every course, was very quick to reach the table and the food was absolutely lovely. Been twice and both times the food has been very very good. Good seasoning, good sized portions and a great menu to choose from. Keep up the good work guys as I will be back as long as you keep keeping your standards high. Please address the greeting at the start though as I want to be greeted with enthusiasm and a fact you want me to return.

Best pub food we’ve ever had! We ordered Calamari, sweet potatoes and regular chips, a Signature Burger, and a Truffled Mushroom pizza. πŸ˜‹ The burger was very juicy, filled with generous cheddar cheese, bacon, and salad. Husband was pleased! I could smell the truffle from the pizza from far away, as the waiter brought it to us. Lots of cheese! Great customer service. We are definitely coming back.

Was looking forward to coming here to see what the refit was like. It is a big improvement inside and they have created a very nice environment inside. We were sat outside by the water, which is obviously a lovely feature of this place. I wasn't that impressed by my food though, mainly because I think food was quite over priced for what it was. We ordered two portions of the Korean style chicken skewers with slaw and chips. The chicken was very lightly seasoned chicken thighs. Didn't notice anything BBQ flavoured. It was fine as were the chips and slaw. But the price of Β£15.75 led me to believe it might be quite different and better than it was. Was toying with 3 stars instead of 4, but the refurbished setting is really nice so gave it 4 stars in the end. I am local and will probably go back again, but will avoid the skewers next time round.

It's a lovely restaurant with amazing view to a beautiful lake with ducks, swans and other birds. The food is delicious, and the service is up to standard.

A truly lovely location on a lake/pond makes this venue a worth while destination. Quirky and characterful .. with friendly .. helpful staff and good service . Cannot give it a 5 star rating as we felt let down by the food .... which was a shame as it could have been the perfect experience .

Just meeting up with a friend we had not seen for a long while as we were in the area. Only planned to get a (well made) coffee but should have thought to plan a time to meet for lunch. Beautiful establishment, light and airy... I would describe as contemporary cosy.
