    1-you are buying secocond hand stuff. check whatever you are buying in front of them. Take puctures of the stuff at the store. Otherwise they don’t accept the part was faulty or there was something wrong with it, so there won’t be any return and refund. The reasons I got the products back was moisture and breaking. And they claimed I’ve caused those. I new and they new that I’m right but didn’t have proof.

    From start to finish incredibly professional and made me aware of every step in the process in a clear and succinct manner. Be warned when they say the collection driver could turn up at 7 in the morning he probably will. :-) however he was incredibly polite, professional and knowledgeable which made the whole process incredibly easy. The driver is an absolute credit to the company and deserves to be recognised (if not already) for his exemplary customer service. Payment arrived exactly when they said it would all in all if I have to dispose of another vehicle I will definitely use Silverlake

    Terrible customer service and very disappointing in the way they deal with their customers. Won a car in auction on Friday afternoon. First thing Monday morning I called to arrange Pick up and ultimately I wasn’t satisfied with the way customer services handled my query and responded towards me. Having read reviews online beforehand I wasn’t surprised. Moving forward I Informed the person whom I spoke with that I will make the payment which was £11976 the next day and I will collect the vehicle the following day and everything was done. As I was making the payment the following day I realised they had suspended my account. Got in touch with their customer support team once again and they didn’t provide me with a solution and started putting the blame on me for which I had previously spoken to customer service to arrange the date of payment and pick up. I explained everything to Wayne that I have purchased a Vehicle for £11976 and I would like to make a payment but he insisted that I pay £30 extra late payment or they will close my account. Im shocked and disappointed as a business owner my self that they are happy to lose a customer for life and damage their reputation for £30 when I’m happy to spend nearly £12000 in one purchase and it’s not even my fault. For me the £30 is not the issue, it’s the principal behind it where I feel I have been treated incorrectly for a late payment I was ready to pay as scheduled anyway. As a result, I’m very disappointed and I’m happy not to buy ever again business and get my account closed. All they think about it money I’m happy for them to close my account I won’t like to do business with them ever again. Please stay away

    Good price paid to scrap my car and the staff were really friendly and helpful. The whole process, including collection, was very straightforward. Silverlake were recommended to me and I'd definitely pass on the recommendation to everyone.

    Good for picking small parts yourself but most of the staff are rude and unapologetic so not the best to deal with if you have to speak to them. Don’t trust their website either as for the past few months it’s been completely useless. I have bought multiple cars from them and one of them I had a viewing and started the car which later when I won the auction had damage to the exhaust and the side skirt from the forklift they use. I feel like it’s slowly getting worse and worse.

    Visited Silverlake for the first time after seeing quite a few YouTube reviews and it was excellent. Friendly staff, impressive selection and very tidy yard. I appreciated that the inventory was all available online and , so when I got there, the car I had to remove the part from was on site. I will be back. Keep up the great work Silverlake.

    Order 2 doors for my car and after I took it to my garage I found out that silverlake gave me 2 doors with ripped wires and one of the door was with a electric window when I asked for manual doors. Spoke with someone from silverlake that said in our first email that will refund me 20 pounds each door because of the ripped wires I did accept but after that I never heard anything more from him ! I did emailed him again about 4 times with no answer! Every time that I spoke with someone on the phone from silverlake everyone was not friendly at all and even a bit rude . My mecanic said to me that he has few people that bought doors from silverlake and nearly every time there is something wrong with it.Not happy at all with the service. I won't recomment

    Doesn't always have the bits required. However still first class service and a fun time pretending to be a mechanic. Prices are OK, and you get to inspect b4 you buy. Clean, organised and friendly. Decent parking, and helpful. Easy to contact via phone to check availability prior to arrival. Will use again for sure. Would recommend. Just don't leave a car that looks like scrap outside, It'll going in the yard... joking. They seem honest as the day is long. Fun day out if you have kids.

    Was giving a quote for a 2016 Vauxhall Mokka Gearbox on a Partsgateway website via Silverlake for £320 when I rang the company they quoted me £400 then when I realised they gave me a cheaper quote on the website I rang to ask them why I was quoted more even though I hadn't gave them any details, the guy on the phone said it was a surcharge & delivery cost even though it was free delivery on the original quote 'I asked why he said it's because your not local even though he wasn't giving any details of the delivery address which was still Hampshire but a BH post code however he did not know that so he lied on an assumption to try work his way out of why the price was so different.. I have no problem in prices may vary to website but having your stuff make stuff up without knowing any details to get out the conversation is very bad business efficacy. I can tell most of the people on the phones have no clue or not really caring on business customer relations.. Lying to get of giving a practical answer is not good!

    Needed a couple of panels, checked website, no parts have been removed from the car, phoned up to check and get prices, drove 50 miles and its been stripped to the bone. Website still says no parts have been removed. And it was right outside their office window so they obviously didnt even bother to look when i phoned up.

    Sent a request in for an Audi A3 BLACK car bonnet. Received a quote for the part specified, which clearly stated black as the product colour. Which was ideal as that’s the colour I requested funnily enough. They sent a silver bonnet out, with a invoice which even states “black” bonnet. I query this with them and they state, they have no idea how this has happened. As they can see they even quoted and sent for the correct colour (black). Then they proceed to tell me they don’t have the correct colour part I requested. They also won’t refund until the wrong part that they have sent, is back at their premises. So in short, absolutely useless! Out of pocket (not to mention this part was a gift for Xmas). And I have to harbour a spare car bonnet (which by the way, the courier left abandoned on my drive for anyone walking by to take). I’m appalled!

    I recently used Silverlake to dispose of a car, and the whole experience was very hassle free. Kate answered the phone and explained their collection service. I rang back the next day to arrange collection it was very quick and simple. The vehicle was collected, and all went as planned.

    I had my car scrapped through them. Easy and quick service, filled out the online form and they gave me a call. Arranged pickup when I would be at work and there were no issues. They message you with instructions when booking. Payment was made into my account 2 days after collection with no hassles.

    Clean and professional salvage yard. Don't expect any favours with jump leads etc so be prepared as a decent recovery agent to collect from here

    I called for tyre enquiry and they said yes we have in stock I told them I will be there an hour I drive 30 mins 1 way went there they said now it’s gone we don’t have in stock now sold ,, I told them I call and said on phone I will be there that time but they said you not own that item unless you pay I said no one said if i need to hold or not or any payment no nothing at all not good response talk rude the man said I can’t do anything now no apologies no sorry so disappointed never visit again 👎🏽👎🏽

    Please stay clear from this business, I purchased an item over a month ago and as they gave me tracking the tracking was never updated stating the item had been posted, I have tried my hardest to work with this company but they refuse to help, I feel like I have been scammed and have little trust that the item was even sent. Please do not buy from this company, buyer be aware that they have zero customer support after purchasing an item

    Highly recommended. Very good efficient service. The e mail quote was the money paid into my bank account the day promised. The telephone team was very helpful, efficient and pleasant. The vehicle collection service was also very good and only required the keys, V5 or utility bill, and the my bank account details. The initial collection day was changed but this understandable. The collection time is from 7.00 am to 6.00 pm. I am going to recommend Silverlake to my friends and relations.

    Have now purchased a number of salvage vehicles and every one has been top notch and excellent value. The majority of their stock are sold with no reserve unlike some other major salvage sites that will have you over till the cows come home. A highly, professional outfit Strongly recommended.

    Good selection and it's nice to still be able to go out to the yard to browse and pick parts. However if i see this one particular guy behind the counter, when i enter i know im going to be ripped off. Usually 2x the price of the official price list online. Lets the company image down a bit. I miss the old days when Alan was around!

Controlled access to the yard to dismantle what you need. Good modern approach to breaking for parts. Clear access to cars on low blocks for accessibility, easy to find as inventory on system by make, row, and car placement location. Cars sorted and placed by Make....very modern approach to this auto service.

    My car was collected 3rd Jan. It was an excellent transaction from the beginning. The quote system, the lady I spoke to on the phone to the guy that picked it up! I was filled with confidence and it was a fast and efficient service from start to finish. I was also paid the next day and my V5 arrived well within 2 weeks. Could not be happier that my very much loved car went to Silverlake.

    Been using silver lake for years, great to get parts for your car, of course you do need to remove them yourself but that helps you see how to refit it back at home into your car.

    Check prices before paying. I bought a ignition coil and it was aftermarket used one. They sold it to me more expensive than a brand new genuine from eBay with postage included. Its absolutely ridiculous. Madness. Somebody should check and reconsider their prices.

    Terrible service both my husband and me have phoned, left messages for someone to contact us back about scrapping a car and nothing. If you phone up and want a part they answer the phone quickly but when it's scrapping a car we were on hold forever so then left a message and no one got back to us. Very poor service from such a big well known company. We have been trying for well over a week now

    Got quoted £240 for a intercooler pipe by Hendy Ford. You must be kidding I said to the man on the phone. So Went to Silverlakes self service and got one for £4. So patted my self on the back for recycling and stuck two fingers up to Mr Ford.

    Drove and hour and a half to pick an auction car up ref 539091mq only to find significant new damage not on the auction photograph's. Free delivery on my next car was offered but not keen as I like to check for extra damage . I said maybe a pair of second hand front wings would be ok , they only had 1 and it would have to be posted which I wasn't keen on as I like to check for damage . The man I dealt with was polite but said there was no chance of any money off the vehicle as it was an insurance sale . So I left without the car ,having used £50 in diesel and wasted 4.5 hours of my life ( three hours driving and an hour and a half waiting for loading and response to the damage ) . On the drive home my wife asked why they didn't just refund the £90+ vat administration fee ?? . At this point I felt dirty and abused lol . They only person to lose is me , silverlake will simply relist the car get full price with the new damage and not have to refund any money to the customer when none of this is their fault Please do better silverlake Very disappointed Dean
