The UoG Arboretum provides a great opportunity to be lost in the nature. I have been to the Mitgwaaki trail recently. It shows how nature is perceived in the anishinaabe culture.

So many different areas to walk with different feels. Great place for dogs and the whole place requires dogs to be leashed. Lots of parking off college Ave. More washrooms would be a plus for this great space

Very nice arboretum in the campus of University of Guelph with several nice gardens. The board walk trail in the arboretum is a must visit.

Looking for a botanical garden in Guelph? The Arboretum along College Ave in the UofG is not a new place. You can visit anytime whatever your mood is. We love going in the Spring and Fall where trees are at it’s peak of beauty.

Beautiful place for a nice walk. Reminder to read the signs and have your dogs on a leash. My dog loves it here and enjoys the loop we do. Spring and autumn is a great time to go to capture it’s colours. Photographers will love shooting here wether it be for nature, birds or with clients. If you get lucky enough you can encounter some deers but definitely keep your distance or they will run off.

As a wedding photographer, I recently had the pleasure of capturing this couples engagement session at The Arboretum. This is one of my favourite locations for engagement sessions, and I look forward to capturing photos here every single time. There is such a great variety of locations, all of which are easily accessible by trails or walkways. There are so many spaces that I am always able to find a private space for my couples. I love the variety of trees, especially the field of grass during sunset is absolutely magical! Also if the Japanese garden is open, it’s a great spot as well. Overall, the engagement session was a memorable experience for both the couple and myself. The fall season added an extra layer of beauty to the already stunning park, and I’m grateful for the opportunity to capture such a special moment in their lives. For anyone looking for a unique and breathtaking setting for their engagement photos, don’t even think twice!

The Arboretum is a magical getaway. With the spectacular gardens to the beautiful trees and trails it is a place of peace and relaxation. There are so many lovely things to explore and discover, go for a picnic, read a book, draw or write, do some yoga or ride a bike or go for a run...so many options. Go explore, you won't be disappointed!

My wife and I explored the arboretum for the first time yesterday. It is a wonderful spot to walk, picnic, watch birds, or just sit and contemplate on any of the many park benches. Highly recommended.

Absolutely beautiful place for a weekend stroll. Fun for bird watching (and dog watching). The trails are expansive and well maintained with easy to follow trail markers. Best place to soak in nature.

Nature, nature, nature. Different places, different vibes. All amazing. Rare species found as well.

There are lots of great walking trails. Beautiful place to be with nature. If you look there are many critters that live in the arboretum. Would be a great place to teach young children about nature or go on a date. An oasis of nature in the city. Great place to go and relax. I go about once a month just to relax. Very quiet and peaceful. I particularly like the asian inspired garden and the wood trails.

A collection of small gardens and pathways. Mostly well maintained. Definitely worth visiting over and over again. Sadly some folks still keep dogs off the leash !

Lovely and easily walkable, though I do wish the various trails were better marked.

This one of the best trails in Guelph. I visited this place recently and is so beautiful. Place so quiet and calming. Has lot of trails in this area and those trails are properly marked on the map. Around 15 free parking spots available if you enter from East Ring Rd and then Arboretum Rd. Definitely visit this place again.
