Great food, even more amazing service, good atmosphere. Loved it a lot and will definitely visit again. Worth booking a table especially on a busy weekend evening!

We were welcomed almost immediately by a friendly member of staff, who we later found out was Paul. Service by Paul, throughout our visit was friendly, warm and courteous. It was also speedy, but without any undue pressure. When I asked for recommendations Paul offered a few choices and the one I selected was very nice. Food quality was excellent, nice and flavourful, nothing was over or underdone.

I try to be constructive with my reviews and I'm sorry to say this will not be a great one. We went on a Monday evening at approx 7.15pm. First job on entering the premises is to register your car Registration on an iPad type device - this looked like it had not been wiped in days, with finger smears covering it. We hadn't booked to eat and were told there was no room in the restaurant but we could have a table in the bar area. The staff member who greeted us looked hassled and handed us 2 menus - first impressions are everything so the fact they were sticky did not go down well. We were told to order food over the bar with no mention of whether we could still access the salad bar. We discovered we could so went up to the restaurant level. The handrails leading up there were also sticky. There was a staff member serving the salad bar and I think this is an excellent idea in the current Conditions (tail end of COVID) It would be good to see this continue indefinitely. I was not so impressed to see 75% of the upstairs seating empty after being told there was no room in the restaurant? We had just returned to our bar table when our starters arrived so the salads got put to one side. Only a quarter of the way into my starter and the main courses arrived! They were served to the table despite us not being ready for them and left getting cold. I gave up on my starter, scooped it on to the plate with the food from the main course and tucked in. I tried to ignore the fact that the peas were more yellow than green, that the beans were stringy, that despite the food arriving so quickly the chips were only just about warm. Nobody asked if the food was OK, or came to check how everything was. I gave up and left most of my meal. One of the female staff that we passed as we stood to leave had clearly been on a cigarette break and reeked of stale smoke. Not great in a food setting. I have realistic expectations and have used Harvesters lots in the past. I was not expecting a 5 star experience - I wanted a reasonably priced enjoyable meal. Instead I couldn't wait to go home and wash my hands. Sorry Windsor Lad but we won't be back.

What to say... the food here has improved but ultimately its still a harvester. Front of house service was good but took almost an hour to be served. Its not particularly high end inside - the floors and tables are a bit sticky, the drinks machine was leaking on the floor... it's fine when it was £10-£12 a head but with a meal coming to almost £80 for a young family of 4, its just not justifiable I'm afraid. At this price my expectations are higher than this. Can't fault the restaurant team but head office are setting them up to fail with these prices.

A straight forward meal was enjoyed by 8 of us. A Saturday night meal enhanced by helpful staff. Everything was simply handled and the meal was a great success.

Absolutely the best service received in a harvester...ever!! Booked table for 9 to celebrate our Madison Mae's 5th Birthday. Our waitress Zoe was amazing from beginning to end. She saw to all our needs, was always smiling and keeping us informed and very courteous. Nothing was too much trouble, even though it was very busy and rushed off her feet. She still gave us her full attention. Food fantastic by Kimberly who, also went out of her way to dress the table with balloons and make Madison's day extra special!! Well done Harvester for having such lovely staff, they're an absolute asset to your company. Thank you so so much. Definitely will be returning again.

The staff were wonderful, very friendly and extremely friendly. The restaurant was very family friendly which is what we wanted, with 6 kids under 8. Everyone was happy with their meals, except me. I had the salmon and mash potato, it was overcooked and dry.

Nice harvesters, with easily available parking and great food. Whilst the salads bar (what I come here for) has a limited selection due to covid and non self serve that is understandable. I just wish they would label their plates to include the number of fat carbs etc, and similarly the salad sauces so ones counting their macronutrients can make an informed decision

Sat in the bar as didn’t have a reservation. Bar chairs very dirty and many ripped. Good hi-chairs. Nice chunky garlic bread. Watery flavourless corn on the cob.

A really lovely family meal out to end our day. Very tasty food and a great waiter - Damion. He was very attentive and remembered our drink order second time round. The pudding was very yummy! Thank you for filling our hungry bellies with some yummy food. Definitely recommend!

Brilliant service! I’ve never visited the Windsor Lads before and I was not disappointed. Our waiter was fantastic, very helpful and patient considering we were having a catch up before checking the menu! Food was amazing! We had the tapas starters and these were super tasty and small enough portions, perfect for a starter. Main meal was brilliant, perfect portion size and really well cooked! Dessert was superb, rocky horror sundae finishes any meal perfectly! Would visit again, plus they have ample parking available and staff were all super helpful.

The refurbishment is lovely and the food was great but the service received by Laura was exceptional. She was energetic and friendly. Quick with service and a joy to have serving us. It was my daughters birthday and she was so kind and friendly to her and made her feel so special. Her service was so good that our 7 yr old wanted to leave her first ever tip.

Helpful, friendly staff. Quick service. Reasonable prices. Adequate venue for a "lunch on a budget". Food and drinks OK but nothing special. Tables could do with a wipe down. Free parking (enter car reg number at reception).

I had a table reservation for 8 people at 15:30 we got our dinner at 17:50. Delicious food, well-fried steak, delicious grilled chicken, and delicious children's dishes, the advantage of this restaurant is salads as much as you want. The service is first class, they approach you and ask you nicely if everything tastes good or if you want something else. Delicious desserts, fresh fruit, delicious coffee. The restaurant has a large car park, you need to register your car. The climate inside is warm, clean, and well-spaced seating. Clean toilets. The restaurant has 2 floors, you go up the stairs and then on the left you have the next floor. Across the street, there is a large park for a stroll after lunch and a playground which has 2 playgrounds for children.

New refurbishment is amazing! They have done a really good job at updating while still keeping that cosy, family friendly atmosphere. Windsor Lad would not be the same without Paul, always happy to see us and the rest of the staff are always friendly and helpful. Food is always great here and I love the new twist on my personal favourite ’The simply Chicken’. Always our first choice for birthdays, celebrations and a cheeky weekend treat!

Terrible service. Really long delay from booking time . They had a problem with there sewage. The smell was throughout the restaurant. The food was dry. And tasted disgusting. When spoke with manager (Elaine) she really could not care. She spoke with a attitude and come across really rude. Will not be visiting again. Would recommend Trying somewhere else!!

Lovely serivce and staff. Was welcomed as soon as I walked in by a very friendly blonde woman. Deciced to eat outside as the weather was great, the bar team was a joy and made sure to take care of us while being busy inside. 5/5 stars!

We just popped in for a birthday dinner for my son and Chloe was amazing as are waitress. She was very welcoming, friendly and also extremely good with her allergy information for which i needed gluten free. Thank you and happy new year!

Food was good the kids steak meal my 9 yr old ordered was tiny! More suited to an under 5. Service while friendly enough was poor to the fact we was there towards the end of the evening (arrived 8.30pm) and staff were far more interested in cleaning up and getting finished than the customers! We found it hard to get anyones attention as they were just rushing about cleaning up, by the end we didn't even get deserts we just felt like we overstayed our welcome! Which at 9.30pm is a bit much

Haven't been to a Harvester for years so popped in for lunch on Saturday and expected speedy service as needed to be back out in an hour for an appointment, I shouldn't of expected! Quite busy, After waiting a while asked a waiter, who said he was dealing with someone else, and he will be back to me, then he turned up with my Meal which took 45 minutes, ( if informed at the beginning, how long the wait would be, I would of not bothered) when food did arrive it was nice, but had to rush eating it with the speed of lightening! which wasn't a nice experience, I would avoid at busy times

The steaks were great, slightly overcooked one side but generally fine. Food presented well. Wine was nice. . It's the staff that made this a very good visit, very hard working during a busy time. Minus points were same as ever, sticky tables, dirty menus. And the carpet on the stairs to the restaurant was grossly soiled.. sort that out please....not a good look! The bar area could be more comfortable and "cosy", didn't appeal for after dinner drinks. 4 stars due to the staff. (2 star for management of this place).

Arrived earlier today for dinner. Friendly staff told us about £1 child dining. No room in the restaurant so we were asked to sit in the bar which wasn't a problem. All the food arrived in a decent time and was piping hot. Honestly it was a rather plesent few hours. When me and my family come back to legoland we will 100% use this restaurant again 8.5/10 The picture is of our finished meal.clean llayes even from my children

Friendly staff but over stretched. Not a great venue for a date, but fine if you want to take the kids for food. No play area for them, not sure I'd go back in a hurry, felt over dressed
