I've been here a good few times now and I honestly could not fault anything regarding this pub. The staff are friendly. The pub is clean and welcoming. They have a good kids menu aswell as I normal menu. Esp the deals like two meals from £14.49! They have a wide selection of veg and vegan aswell. I highly recommend eating at this pub. Easy to find aswell :) Kayleigh served me. Must say the girls brilliant at cooking aswell as upselling!!

Our welcome was warm enough but exceeded by the welcome the dogs got. Our lunch was great. Just pub food. But cooked the way it should be. Friendly service.

Went in last night to meet my friend and his dog who I meet up with a few times a year so we wanted to catch up before Christmas. When I arrived the car park was super busy and inside a party was going on and obviously noisy. When we ordered food and sat down we were shouting at one another as the table they reserved us was near the band. Leah came over and we asked if the band was on all night and she said yes and she kindly offered to move us to a table near the front and took our plates etc to the table. She even made sure my friend's dog Buddy had a bowl of water and dog treats and made sure we were comfortable. It was a much nicer atmosphere for us to catch up on as we didn't have to shout and Buddy seemed happier too, even went to sleep. Leah went above and beyond and was friendly and chatty. We did Thank her and told her how good she had been but I wanted to write a review as well so higher management see this. Thank you from Dawn , Dom and Buddy the dog. 🐶

I had a wonderful holiday enjoying live music with my sisters here. They had great food and good beers, also friendly staff 👍🏻

Great place to eat. I've been there with my family and for a work lunch. They do run out of stock on things though, so best check they have what you want to order especially when you have dietary requirements 😉

Excellent service. Good food. But no onion rings available. Only was told after questioning it. Was told extra chips given. But normal serving evident. Would like to have been told of the shortage before being served the meal.

Husband and I popped in for lunch. When we ordered food we were told there would be a short wait. After about 45 minutes we asked how long would it be, we were told it was being plated up. After another half hour wait our food finally arrived. One order was wrong and mine was cold. We didn't say anything to our server, as not their fault. Hoping it was just an "off day"

Was very disappointing. Me and my partner haven't been in some time due to the pub not serving food. We thought we would give it a try and unfortunately did not live up to expectations. When we wanted to order the fish and chips and told us that the fish and chips is sold out ( which we accepted). We ordered something else from the menu only 5-10 minutes later a man shouted out that they actually do have fish and chips in. When our food was delivered to our table we were disappointed by the decrease in quality of the food. It's bad when the best thing on the plate was the salad. Unfortunately we will not be returning here in the future.

Very disappointed last evening, Thurs 16 th June, had booked a table for 2 , my friend is disabled as well, to be told when we got there, that the kitchen was closed. No one had tried to phone me, and my booking said We needed disabled access, so my friend was trying to walk with difficulty to the front door, and had to turn around back to her car.

We have been going to this pub for the last 7 years to enjoy a good night out with friends at the quiz. Unfortunately, in recent me nths the management of the service provided has been appalling and we will not be going back any more. There is often either no food at all or many items from the menu are not available. The staff, most of whom are as helpful as they can be, are either badly organised or not organised at all and there is never a manager visible on what must be one of their busiest nights. After supporting the pub for so long and returning at the end of COVID restrictions it is disappointing that Green King simply do not seem able to ensure a level of customer service that would make us want to continue spending our money there.

I had lunch today at the Two Poplars. It was only my second visit and I thoroughly enjoyed myself. The food was excellent, the best fries anywhere! Service was quick and friendly and the atmosphere was very relaxed. The manager Tom was helping everywhere, chatting with the customers and there was a lovely rapport between him and his staff....lots of laughter. I would certainly visit again.

Was in town last December for Christmas and to visit family and we went to this cozy pub. Location is good, food was amazing with reasonable waiting time. The Manager was very helpful and friendly. He helped us with queries of out and about the town and places around. Will be back again very soon.

I am usually delighted with my experience at The Two Poplars. Generally good value and excellent customer service. Today, however I was VERY disappointed- my order was wrong, but there was no offer to put it right, only a flippant and insincere ‘sorry’ when I pointed it out……. twice! Sorry Two Poplars, you let yourself …. and me …. down today. Hopefully this was a one off because generally I love you.

Feel like this pub is improving since the new manager took over. Staff are more friendly, the food is good and the place looks much cleaner! It's also dog friendly which is a plus and lots of parking.

A cosy, warm and welcoming pub with superb food, which is always freshly cooked and excellent value. Very friendly, polite and professional staff with a hands on Manager. Highly recommended.

After.. looking on line at the selection of food .(roast ). and booking a table online .. for 5 oc on the Sunday evening.. only one of the chosen meats available ... and the portions were terrible one of the vegetables were unavailable so a small meal.. they were children size .. once the gravy boat was removed off the plate the plate looked empty .. not a place to eat if you are hungry

I've been coming to Two Poplars for several years now - the food is good, the servers are friendly and it's got a nice, relaxed atmosphere.

Realy nice place, comfortable pub with good choice of beers and spirits. Friendly staff always happy to help. I will defo come back for a meal on sunday.

Excellent staff, good food, but building decor needs attention

Highly recommend it! First time out as a group for 18 months! Great services, delicious food and a wonderful atmosphere! It was my first time, but not the last. Ample parking, ample space for social distancing (if you wish) and just a great service all around. Oh and AFFORDABLE prices (which is quite rare post pandemic).

Me and my family went to the pub for my daughters birthday! We couldn’t have experienced a better dinner! Everything was cooked to perfection! And the chef Jake even catered to my daughters difficult dietary needs, without any questions asked! He even brought out a birthday desert for her! And the team sang her happy birthday! We felt very welcome and very good value for money! And a proper homey feel! Definitely will be returning! Jake made us feel very at ease with my daughter’s difficulties, and even came and checked on us multiple times during our meal!

Great food at a great price, landlady is really trying to turn this pub around. There are some great events posted in the pub. Drink are reasonably priced and they have a good selection on tap or spirits depending on your mood.

Me and my partner popped in this evening for a drink the pub was busy but we where greated with a warm welcome by Sophie who who survived us drinks and asked if we would like to eat. After 5 minutes of being there we sat a table and ordered food and it was great. Jake the chef did a brilliant job. The service was brilliant and over all great evening see you again soon
