Good quality food, the portion sizes were a little small and a few of the dishes should have been recommended to have ordered chips with them - salad and salmon as it’s barely a full meal alone. Wine was put through order slightly wrong and staff were a little slow. Very attentive from different members of staff and they were friendly and polite. Service just wasn’t maybe as good as hoped given prices

First visit to the pub, we sat outside in the garden area which has plenty of space and seating, with and without umbrellas for those needing a touch of shade, food was tasty and an interesting variety on the menu, I wanted to try various options! Staff were friendly and the location is good with good parking too, value for money as well, its worth the price and its not too expensive.

I took my mum to the Warren so we can have some lunch together. Food was a joke. My mum had a pie which consisted mainly (90%)from pastry with hardly anything inside. I had a duck salad which under no circumstances I will order again. I am not a professional cook, but I could've made a better one in my kitchen. Verdict. Wanted to mention all of it to one of the arrogant stuff that served us, but decided not to ruin my weekend and decided that we will never come back there again. And I would definitely spread that around my friends to void this place.

Having had previous poor experiences at the venue some 5 years ago; I was hopeful to have a better experience. I arrived early for pre Christmas meal drinks with work colleagues. The bar tender told me they served cocktails so I asked for a straight forward gin martini with 3 olives. No problem I will bring it over. After a short time my colleague came back from the bar with a yellow looking cocktail with a raspberry in it. They told me this was my drink a French martini (Vodka , Pineapple juice etc). I went back to the bar and explained this was not what I had ordered. The bar tender told me he couldn't help me and I would have to speak to the manager. There was no apology just the response that I could only have a drink off the cocktails menu. I was asked if I would like another drink and I said a gin and tonic with one of their gins. This was unfortunately there last bottle and they didn't have enough gin to make the drink. At this point I thought i'd wait til the meal. The meal its self was a bit chaotic with veg coming out way to early before the Christmas meal and hence the veg was cold. The meal itself was ok but 1 tiny pigs in blanket it was a bit of lack lustre affair. The turkey its self was tasty. As the meal progressed we decided to do a round of shots to celebrate the unusual year its been. I ordered a shot of Sambuca. I didn't get it. I asked the same manager that took my order where my drink was and was told all the drinks has been bought out. well I didn't get mine. Again no apology ; no offer to get the drink. Please go anywhere else for your Christmas meal - this place really gives the impression it does care with its lack of hospitality

Well, what was served was not what was described on the menu . Fillet steak with pangrattato shallots and exotic mushrooms. Well, there was one measly shallot, and a few chopped mushroom bits. Photo attached. It is the Shepherds House, next time.

Nicely situated on the outskirts of Wokingham town centre this Pub offers convenient parking for patrons. A choice of indoor and outdoor dining with a casual ambience and relaxed vibe. Good menu, including Sunday roasts as well as great deserts and coffees. Nice touches include cocktails, vegetarian & vegan options. Table service is both professional and friendly.

Overall, very disappointing. The scallops were lovely, but my partner has the Asian style chicken starter. This was drenched in a sweet source and spoilt the entire dish, made the salad soggy and most of it was not eaten. We both had the pie for the main course. There were very few vegetables and the beans were stringy. This was just not acceptable for the price charged. The pie was nice but didn’t appear to be home made. To be honest I could have cooked a better main course by shopping at M & S. When I eat out I expect the meal to be better than this. The deserts where good. We had 2 glasses of the merlot wine, which was very nice. I know that restaurants make their margins on drinks, but it was well overpriced for a 250ml glass.

Absolutely loved my time at the warren! Had my 20th birthday meal and got a great burger and some cocktails. Everyone was so lovely, had a great chat with Millie and piper! They were amazing and their service was brilliant. Once again, another brilliant visit to the warren, always love my visits there and would 100% recommend! ❤️

Roast beef dinner was very poor roast potatoes were very dry and a bland taste all round the kids roast chicken dinner was bigger than the adults. I've given 3 starts as the other food like the dirty burger was enjoyed and so was the chicken tenders. I would serious consider dropping your roast from the menu if you don't improve as it really was tasteless.

We had a really lovely evening celebrating my birthday. The food was excellent and the service was first class. Millie, our waitress, couldn’t do enough for us. She was super efficient, attentive and very friendly, an asset to your team. Thank you very much.

We went out as a party of 3 and all 3 of us felt the dining experience was excellent. Food was very tasty, cooked well and value for money. We all felt our portions were very generous and although forgot to take a picture of the belly pork & scallops it was a large portion.

Food is a bit over priced for what it is. I had a cheeseburger and fries. Nothing fancy about it so didn't warrant the £16 price tag. Dessert was lovely but obviously a microwave job. (Sticky toffee pudding) My friend wanted a caramel latte but was offered vanilla as replacement. When it arrived it tasted of cinnamon. We reminded the waitress that we'd ordered vanilla, she said yes. It's spiced vanilla But we hadn't been told that. We had to ASK her to replace it! Not great customer service. Lovely interior and well designed. Very large place with big garden out back- they had tables blocking the door way so not sure how you'd get out there?????

Very good pub on what used to be the outskirts of Wokingham (but they are slowly building up to it). I'm old enough to remember the 1990s where they had a swing and a slide for kids. None of that any more, but it's still a great family place -- the food is good, it's a large building with a large garden, and you can party with some interesting cocktails or just take a quiet seat in the corner and get work done. Food is also very good: you can get a pizza or a salad, or something more substantial. Staff very friendly and helpful. I don't know your name, lady with the curly red hair, but I wish every pub had got someone like you.

I've been to the Warren a few times now over the past month and the service and food has always been great. I don't think it holds the same fine dining experience of old but that is also reflected in reasonable pricing. We rocked up and it was packed, however, food was great, drinks always coming and service very friendly. Loved it.

We were a party of 3 adults and 2 young children who had reserved ahead. Very impressed by the choice of children's meals, not just your normal fish fingers etc. Ours had Mac and cheese and linguine pasta, both were served with a small portion of seasonal veg. Kids were also given crayons and a colouring book. Adults had roast (it was a Sunday 🤣) food was really good. Service was some of the best we've had. Would certainly recommend.

Service was good but I found the food was a bit of a let down.. nearly £4 for a house salad that was lettuce , 2 small pieces of tomato and some cucumber really.. and the scallop starter had a beautiful flavor but the risotto was very dry and barely on the plate. Pork belly was lovely but small portions.

Good pub with a lovely garden and classy interior. We had the lunch menu between two, and two drinks, it was £50. I'd say that was a little expensive for the portions, and the food took a while to come out. Overall our experience was good.

Great pub and great food. Popped in after looking for a pub to eat in our way from Reading to Walton on Thames. Really enjoyed the food and they catered for my gluten free and vegan partner very well. Will definitely return when in the area again or maybe take a drive out one Sunday. I really recommend this place for a lovely meal.

I had a lovely time at The Warren last night. My starter of king prawns with tomato and chilli was good, but my main course was exceptional. I chose the belly pork with crackling and dauphinois potatoes, it was amazing. The pork was beautifully cooked, the crackling was so crisp and not oily. The sauce/gravy was a rich dark colour and perfect consistency. Our waitress, Milly, who is absolutely gorgeous, was friendly and attentive. A truly wonderful evening. Also love the fact that there is plenty of parking available.

Very nice pub and restaurent with plenty of sitting space and backyard parking. Lots of green space surrounding The Warren where you can enjoy drinks in summer. Food prices are quite high up (30%) than traditional high street restaurents. Loved it and will visit again.

One of the best pubs in Wokingham! Decent portions and fabulous food that is worth the extra money.

Despite being a busy Sunday evening, we received very good service. Our order was taken promptly and both our drinks and food arrived quickly. Emily, our server was very friendly and efficient. We had the chicken which was delicious although there was no stuffing, and the duo of beef, which was very tasty but disappointingly sparse. One small slice of beef, the boneless rib (which was nice but being a rib wasn’t much of it), half a parsnip, 3 roast potatoes, a spoonful of greens and a Yorkshire pudding. It didn’t feel great value for £19. The cauliflower cheese (extra) had to go back because it was cold. Overall, the service was great, the food tasty, but portion size was disappointing.

We had a wonderful Christmas meal at The Warren! Our server (Matt) provided an excellent service, was so friendly and helpful throughout the dinner. The food and drinks were also great, nothing felt rushed or slow. We'll definitely be back again in the New Year!

We come here fairly often, 9 times out of 10 it’s perfect but occasionally the food quality is not quite there, such as over/under cooked, and they also never get the steaks the way you’ve asked for it. Also not quite worth the money. Staff are always friendly and attentive and make the place worth coming back to. Also a very nice setting and eating outdoors in the summer is lovely

Menu looked great but food was average. Great selection of drinks. Service was below average - great when being served but not very attentive to help us. For example paying the bill took a very long time and getting drinks etc took a very long time also. Very nice inside and out. Would try again but not for a while based on the service.

Best Sunday lunch we have ever had. Excellent menu and service. Food was superb and all freshly cook, not a microwave in sight. Cannot rate highly engough. Everyone should visit, no one will leave disappointed. If you did you would be very very hard to please!

Food average and very slow to come out of kitchen been there1hr and 15 minutes and only had starter. Young waitresses need training on attentive services. Fed up waiting for someone to take dessert order so asked for bill was going to have dessert and more drinks. Got up and paid bill as they were standing at the bar. It was my birthday very disappointing. Food and service not what it used to be, this used to be my go to pub for special celebrations, not anymore.

The food was excellent, the service and staff was very good; however when we ordered our two course lunch we specifically aske the waiter to allow 20 minutes between our starters and main meal. We repeated it to the waitress as our starters arrived, but as soon as the waitress took our starter plates away; within 5 minutes the main course was put on our table. Apart from this, everything was excellent.

Food awful. I sent my main meal back as not eatable and then when we got home my partner ended up with food poisoning from chicken and chips. And had the luxury of having to wait forever for this. The waitress was so lovely but unfortunately the chef completely let the restaurant done.

Excellent great tasting and quality Sunday roast. The service was superb. Quick but not rushed. Staff super friendly. Our waitress Amber was super lovely and very attentive. Lots of new pubs in the locality offering food but they don’t beat the Warren!

👍👍 Very Nice Ambience. The Food taste was so nice that I couldn't stop praising their chef. They serve authentic curry's . The staff is very well mannered with the polite attitude. On the top of that they gave us complementary desert on the occasion of Birthday. Value for money with the tasty food.
